Abstract:We estimate the ultimate bound of the energy of the solutions to the equation u′′(t)+Au(t)+g(u′(t))=f(t),t≥0,documentclass[12pt]{minimal}usepackage{amsmath}usepackage{wasysym}usepackage{amsfonts}usepackage{amssymb}usepackage{amsbsy}usepackage{mathrsfs}usepackage{upgreek}setlength{oddsidemargin}{-69pt}egin{document}$$egin{aligned}u''(t)+ Au(t)+g(u'(t))=f(t),;; tge 0, end{aligned}$$end{document}where A is a positive selfadjoint operator on a Hilbert space H, g is a nonlinear damping operator and f is a bounded forcing term with values in H. The paper concerns the asymptotic behavior of the solution.
