Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the controllability problem for the generalized damped equation with impulses in Banach spaces. Sufficient conditions for controllability results are derived by means of the Sadovskii fixed point theorem combined with a noncompact condition on the cosine family of operators. An example is discussed to illustrate the efficiency of the result.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the controllability of a kind of nonlinear stochastic impulsive system with infinite delay in abstract space. Sufficient conditions for the controllability are obtained via the generalization of the contraction mapping principle and with none of the compactness condition restriction on the evolution family of operators for the system. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of our results.

Abstract:This paper focuses on controllability results for impulsive fractional distributed delay systems with damping behavior, involving the Caputo fractional derivative (CFD) for both linear and integro-differential systems. For linear systems, controllability results are established through the controllability Grammian matrix and employing a control function. Sufficient conditions for the controllability of nonlinear systems are derived using the Schauder fixed point theorem. An example is provided to illustrate the theory.

Abstract:In this paper, we use Bohnenblust–Karlin's fixed point theorem and the theory of strongly continuous cosine families of bounded linear operators to study the approximate controllability of damped second-order differential inclusions with state-dependent delay in Banach spaces. In particular, we obtain a new set of sufficient conditions for the approximate controllability of damped second-order differential inclusions with state-dependent delay under the assumption that the corresponding linear system is approximately controllable. An example is provided to illustrate our main results.

In this paper, controllability and reachability of linear piecewise constant impulsive systems are studied. Necessary and sufficient criteria for reachability and controllability are established, respectively. It is proved that reachability is equivalent to controllability for such systems under some mild conditions. Our criteria are in geometric forms, they can be transformed into algebraic type conveniently.

Abstract:This article investigates the controllability for a class of piecewise nonlinear impulsive non‐autonomous systems. The problem is addressed by considering the nonlinearities and impulses as perturbations. First, a standard framework is introduced to transform the issue of controllability to the existence of a fixed point by designing a proper admissible control and constructing a nonlinear operator on a Banach space. Then, two sufficient controllability conditions for such systems are developed by employing Schauder's and Rothe's fixed point theorems when the perturbations satisfy several nonlinear constraints including linear/sublinear growth conditions, bounded constraints, and Lipschitz conditions. It is shown that the controllability of such systems is influenced by the linear parts, the nonlinear perturbations, and the impulsive effects. Finally, the established controllability results are verified through several numerical examples.

Abstract:This paper uses the resolvent operator technique to investigate second-order non-autonomous neutral integrodifferential equations with impulsive conditions in a Banach space. We study the existence of a mild solution and the system's approximate controllability. The semigroup and resolvent operator theory, graph norm, and Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem are used to demonstrate the results. Finally, we present our findings with an example.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider controllability of the initial value problem with non-instantaneous impulse on ordered Banach spaces. We firstly give a solution expression for initial value problems with non-instantaneous impulses in ordered Banach Spaces by using Schauder fixed point theorem. Sufficient conditions for controllability results are obtained by Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem in the infinite-dimensional spaces. An example is also given to illustrate the feasibility of our theoretical results.

Abstract:In this paper, the approximate controllability problem is discussed for second-order neutral differential inclusions with damping in Banach spaces. The study establishes the existence of mild solutions for the given system by employing sine and cosine operators and applying Bohnenblust-Karlin's fixed point theorem for multivalued maps. By introducing a new set of sufficient conditions, it has been proven that the given system is approximately controllable. An example is provided to illustrate the theory.

Abstract:The primary aim of this article is to explore the approximate controllability of second-order impulsive hemivariational inequalities with initial conditions in Hilbert space. The mild solution was initially derived using the properties of the cosine and sine family of operators, Clarke's subdifferential, and the fact that the related linear equation has an evolution operator. The results of the approximate controllability of the considered systems are then taken into account using the fixed-point theorem method. An application is provided to support our theoretical findings.

Abstract:In this paper we note the equivalence between exact controllability and exponential stabilizability for an abstract conservative system with bounded control. This enables us to establish a frequency domain characterization for the exact controllability/uniform exponential decay property of second-order elastic systems, such as the wave equation and the Petrovsky equation, with (locally) distributed control/damping. A piecewise multiplier method for frequency domain is introduced. For several classes of PDEs on regions which are not necessarily smooth, we obtain a sufficient condition for the subregion on which the application of control/damping will yield the exact controllability/uniform exponential decay property. This result provides useful information for designing the location of controllers/dampers for distributed systems with a law of conservation.

Abstract:Many dynamical systems in fields such as physics, chemistry, biology, and engineering show impulsive behavior due to abrupt changes at specific times. These behaviors are described by differential systems with impulse effects. This paper examines approximate controllability for certain types of semi-linear impulsive control differential and neutral differential equations in Hilbert spaces, including control within the impulses. By applying semigroup theory and a fixed-point approach, sufficient conditions for approximate controllability of impulsive and neutral differential equations are established. Abstract:By using the saddle point theorem, some new existence theorems are obtained for second-order Hamiltonian systems with impulsive effects in the cases when the gradient of the nonlinearity grows sublinearly and grows linearly respectively. Abstract:Real systems are often subject to both noise perturbations and impulsive effects. In this paper, we study the stability and stabilization of systems with both noise perturbations and impulsive effects. In other words, we generalize the impulsive control theory from the deterministic case to the stochastic case. The method is based on extending the comparison method to the stochastic case. The method presented in this paper is general and easy to apply. Theoretical results on both stability in the pth mean and stability with disturbance attenuation are derived. To show the effectiveness of the basic theory, we apply it to the impulsive control and synchronization of chaotic systems with noise perturbations, and to the stability of impulsive stochastic neural networks. Several numerical examples are also presented to verify the theoretical results.
