Abstract:Model mismatch is an inherent problem in model predictive control (MPC), but the performance of MPC will descend and even be invalid when the model mismatch extent exceeds a certain level. This paper introduces a mechanism for assessing model invalidation for dynamic matrix control (DMC) in a probabilistic framework. The relationship between model predictive error and disturbance series, which can determine model-plant mismatch (MPM), is presented using internal model control (IMC) structure of DMC. Then the difference between these two time series is used to assess model invalidation through statistical inference method. The model is invalid if the calculated statistics is larger than a threshold with a given significant level. Numerical examples demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed method.
Stabilisation of a class of non-affine systems via modelling error compensation

Abstract:The model error compensation method has been extended to stabilise a class of single-input single-output non-affine systems under two simple inequalities conditions. This extension is based on the careful design of the saturation function of control input which plays a key role in determining the local exponential stability and the attraction region. Two examples are presented to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed method.

Abstract:In this brief communication, we highlight several critical inaccuracies in the paper entitled “A novel methodology for a time-delayed controller to prevent nonlinear system oscillations,” identified by the DOI: 10.1177/14613484231195276. The core of the non-perturbative approach discussed in this paper is the introduction of a trial solution with an indeterminate nonlinear frequency. We elucidate the technical missteps and provide necessary corrections. The scrutinized article presents ample opportunities for enhancement, and we propose several amendments. Additionally, we reveal that the numerical outcomes showcased in the mentioned paper expose deficiencies in the proposed approximate solution. With the amendments implemented herein, a more precise numerical solution is achieved.

Abstract:In this paper, on the basis of the theories and methods of ecology and ordinary differential equation, an ecological model with an impulsive control strategy is established. By using the theories of impulsive equation, small amplitude perturbation skills and comparison technique, we get the condition which guarantees the global asymptotical stability of the lowest-level prey and mid-level predator eradication periodic solution. It is proved that the system is permanent. Further, influences of the impulsive perturbation on the inherent oscillation are studied numerically, which shows rich dynamics, such as period-doubling bifurcation, period-halving bifurcation, chaotic band, narrow or wide periodic window, chaotic crises, etc. Moreover, the computation of the largest Lyapunov exponent demonstrates the chaotic dynamic behavior of the model. At the same time, we investigate the qualitative nature of strange attractor by using Fourier spectra. All these results may be useful for study of the dynamic complexity of ecosystems. Qualitative Analysis of a Mathematical Model in the Time of COVID-19

Abstract:In this article, a qualitative analysis of the mathematical model of novel corona virus named COVID-19 under nonsingular derivative of fractional order is considered. The concerned model is composed of two compartments, namely, healthy and infected. Under the new nonsingular derivative, we, first of all, establish some sufficient conditions for existence and uniqueness of solution to the model under consideration. Because of the dynamics of the phenomenon when described by a mathematical model, its existence must be guaranteed. Therefore, via using the classical fixed point theory, we establish the required results. Also, we present the results of stability of Ulam’s type by using the tools of nonlinear analysis. For the semianalytical results, we extend the usual Laplace transform coupled with Adomian decomposition method to obtain the approximate solutions for the corresponding compartments of the considered model. Finally, in order to support our study, graphical interpretations are provided to illustrate the results by using some numerical values for the corresponding parameters of the model.

Abstract:In this paper, we present a dynamic model of syphilis. The goal of this work is to provide a mathematical model for syphilis disease that contains information about the suspect, infected, recovered, and exposed. Boundedness, positivity, and unique solutions at equilibrium points are used in the qualitative and quantitative study of a proposed model using the power law kernel. The Routh-Hurwitz stability criteria are used to address the model's local and global stability. Chaos control will use the regulate for linear responses approach to bring the system to stabilize according to its points of equilibrium. Using Lyapunov function tests, the global stability of free and endemic equilibrium points is confirmed. The Lipschitz condition and fixed point theory are utilized to satisfy the requirements for the existence and uniqueness of the exact solution. The generalized form of the power law kernel is solved using a two-step Lagrange polynomial method to investigate the impact of the fractional operator using numerical simulations that illustrate the effects of various parameters on the illness.
