Abstract:The goal of the present article is to offer a number of new retarded nonlinear inequalities of Gronwall, Bellman and Pachpatte kind for a class of integral and integro-differential equations. These inequalities generalize and provide new formulations of some well-known results in the mathematical framework of integral and differential inequalities that have been derived currently as well as in earlier times. These results can be utilized to investigate diverse aspects, both qualitative and quantitative, of a class of aforementioned equations. We propose a few applications to ensure effectiveness of these inequalities.

The Iyengar Inequality, Revisited

Abstract:Detailed analysis shows that the famous Iyengar inequality actually says that the Trapezoidal formula is a central algorithm for approximating integrals over an appropriate interval for the class of functions whose derivatives are bounded by a positive number K in L ∞ -sense. The inherent nonlinearity from central algorithms reflects the importance of the Iyengar inequality and thus makes familiar linear methods malfunction when one tries to generalize it. It is shown that the generalization depends on a nonlinear system of equations satisfied by a set of free nodes of a perfect spline. Explicit constructions are obtained in the spirit of the Iyengar inequality for the class of functions whose r th ( r ≤4) derivatives are bounded by a positive number K in L ∞ -sense because a closed solution to the nonlinear system is only available for r ≤4. Connections with computational mathematics, especially with best interpolation and best quadrature, are discussed. Numerical experiments are also included.

Abstract:In this paper, some new nonlinear generalized Gronwall-Bellman-Type integral inequalities with mixed time delays are established. These inequalities can be used as handy tools to research stability problems of delayed differential and integral dynamic systems. As applications, based on these new established inequalities, some p-stable results of a integro-differential equation are also given. Two numerical examples are presented to illustrate the validity of the main results. Keywords—Gronwall-Bellman-Type integral inequalities, integrodifferential equation, p-exponentially stable, mixed delays.

Abstract:In this article, we establish certain time-scale-retarded dynamic inequalities that contain nonlinear retarded integral equations on various time scales. These inequalities extend and generalize some significant inequalities existing in the literature to their more general forms. The qualitative and quantitative characteristics of solutions to various dynamic equations on time scales involving retarded integrals can be studied using these inequalities. The results presented in this manuscript furnish a powerful tool to analyze the boundedness of nonlinear integral equations with retarded integrals on several time scales. In the end, we also include numerical illustrations to signify the applicability of these results to power nonlinear retarded integral equations on real and quantum time scales.

Abstract:In this paper, a generalized Volterra‐type integral inequality is developed. On the basis of this inequality, the effect of fractional‐order on the application of the integer‐order Gronwall integral inequality (IOGII) is discussed. Specially speaking, the IOGII cannot be directly used to reckon the solution of integral inequality with the order . It seems that both the IOGII and the generalized Volterra‐type integral inequality can be applied to estimate the solution of integral inequality with the order , and results are consistent, but this is just a coincidence.

Abstract:In this paper, some Gronwall-type integral inequalities with discrete and distributed delays are explored to analyze differential or integral systems with hybrid delays. These new inequalities generalize some previous ones which have played an important part in the research on dynamic behavior of systems. Based on the established Henry-Gronwall type integral inequality, an improved criterion is derived to ensure the finite-time stability for a class of fractional-order neural networks with hybrid delays. Finally, some numerical examples are provided to show the effectiveness and the less conservativeness of the obtained criterion.

Abstract:This article presents the cotangent fractional Gronwall inequality, a novel understanding of the Gronwall inequality within the context of the cotangent fractional derivative. We furnish an explanation of the cotangent fractional derivative and emphasize a selection of its distinct characteristics before delving into the primary findings. We present the cotangent fractional Gronwall inequality (Lemma 3.1) and a Corollary 3.2 using the Mittag-Leffler function, we establish singularity and compute an upper limit employing the Mittag-Leffler function for solutions in a nonlinear delayed cotangent fractional system, illustrating its practical utility. To underscore the real-world relevance of the theory, a tangible instance is given.

Abstract:This paper presents a generalization of the recent proposed Bessel-Legendre inequality, which is specifically derived for analyzing linear time delay systems. The proposed inequalities are able to handle almost all type of classical orthogonal polynomials such as Jacobi, Laguerre and Hermite. In utilizing Jacobi polynomials, numerous existing results can be treated as the special cases of the proposed inequalities. Furthermore, we show that it is possible to apply these inequalities simultaneously to derive lower bounds for Krasovskii functionals, thus less conservative results can be obtained. Finally, the resulting inequalities have been briefly extended to handle the systems with fast time varying delays. Two numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed inequalities.

Abstract:The Hermite-Hadamard inequalities for κ-Riemann-Liouville fractional integrals (R-LFI) are presented in this study using a relatively novel approach based on Abel-Gontscharoff Green’s function. In this new technique, we first established some integral identities. Such identities are used to obtain new results for monotonic functions whose second derivative is convex (concave) in absolute value. Some previously published inequalities are obtained as special cases of our main results. Various applications of our main consequences are also explored to special means and trapezoid-type formulae.

Abstract:We derive a stochastic Gronwall lemma with suprema over the paths in the upper bound of the assumed affine-linear growth assumption. This allows applications to Itô processes with coefficients which depend on earlier time points such as stochastic delay equations or Euler-type approximations of stochastic differential equations. We apply our stochastic Gronwall lemma with path-suprema to stochastic functional differential equations and prove a strong convergence rate for coefficient functions which depend on path-suprema.
