What problem does this paper attempt to address?
This paper aims to discuss the theoretical prediction status of some B - physics observables sensitive to new physics (NP) in the era of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Specifically, the author focuses on the following aspects: 1. **B - decay**: It is used to extract the angles of the unitarity triangle (UT). These angles are of great significance for verifying the standard model (SM) and may reveal new physics phenomena beyond the standard model. 2. **\(B_s^0-\overline{B_s^0}\) mixing**: Due to the large boost of \(B_s^0\) mesons in the LHC, their rapid oscillations can be measured. This mixing is particularly sensitive to new physics because new particles can contribute significantly in loop diagrams. 3. **Radiative and rare decays**: Such as processes like \(b\rightarrow s\gamma\) and \(B_q\rightarrow\ell^+\ell^-\), these processes are very sensitive to new physics because they are flavor - changing neutral current (FCNC) processes that are tree - level forbidden in the standard model. ### Main research questions 1. **Angles of the unitarity triangle in B - decay**: - **β angle**: Measured by time - dependent CP asymmetry, especially in the \(B\rightarrow J/\psi K_S\) decay. - **α angle**: Measured by charm - less B - decays such as \(B\rightarrow\pi\pi,\rho\rho,\rho\pi\). - **γ angle**: Measured by amplitude interference in the \(B\rightarrow DK\) decay. 2. **\(B_s^0-\overline{B_s^0}\) mixing**: - Discussed the theoretical prediction and experimental measurement results of the frequency \(\Delta M_s\) of \(B_s^0-\overline{B_s^0}\) mixing. - Paid special attention to the measurement of the \(\phi_{B_s}\) phase, which should be zero in the standard model, but recent experimental results show that it deviates from zero, which may be a signal of new physics. 3. **Radiative and rare decays**: - **\(b\rightarrow s\gamma\)**: Discussed the theoretical prediction and experimental results of this process, as well as its sensitivity to new physics. - **\(B_q\rightarrow\ell^+\ell^-\)**: Especially the branching ratios of \(B_d\rightarrow\mu^+\mu^-\) and \(B_s\rightarrow\mu^+\mu^-\), these processes are severely restricted in the standard model, but the experimental upper limits still allow the existence of new physics. - **\(b\rightarrow s(d)\ell^+\ell^-\)**: Discussed the theoretical prediction and experimental measurement of these processes, especially the sensitivity of forward - backward asymmetry and isospin asymmetry to new physics. ### Conclusion The paper explores the possibility of finding new physics in the LHC era by detailed analysis of the theoretical predictions and experimental results of the above B - physics processes. Special attention is paid to new physics signals in \(B_s^0-\overline{B_s^0}\) mixing and radiative and rare decay processes. These studies not only help to verify the standard model, but may also reveal new physics phenomena beyond the standard model.
