Abstract:Coulomb interaction turns anyonic quasiparticles of a primary quantum Hall liquid with filling factor $\nu =1/(2m+1)$ into hard-core anyons. We have developed a model of coherent transport of such quasiparticles in systems of multiple antidots by extending the Wigner-Jordan description of 1D abelian anyons to tunneling problems. We show that the anyonic exchange statistics manifests itself in tunneling conductance even in the {\em absence} of quasiparticle exchanges. In particular, it can be seen as a non-vanishing resonant peak associated with quasiparticle tunneling through a line of three antidots.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
This paper aims to explore the Coulomb blockade phenomenon of anyons in the Fractional Quantum Hall Effect (FQHE) liquid. Specifically, the paper focuses on how the exchange statistics of anyons affect the tunneling conductance when they tunnel through a multi - antidot structure. The author proposes a theoretical model to describe this coherent transport process and points out that even in the absence of explicit particle exchange, the exchange statistics of anyons will still be manifested in the tunneling conductance. ### Main problems of the paper 1. **Coulomb blockade of anyons**: The paper first discusses how the Coulomb interaction transforms anyon quasiparticles into hard - core anyons in the primary quantum Hall liquid with a filling factor \(\nu = 1/(2m + 1)\). 2. **Transport in multi - antidot structures**: The author extends the Wigner - Jordan description and applies it to the tunneling problem of one - dimensional Abelian anyons to study the coherent transport of these quasiparticles in multi - antidot systems. 3. **Influence of exchange statistics**: The paper shows how the exchange statistics of anyons are manifested in the tunneling conductance, especially when tunneling through a linear structure of three antidots, the exchange statistics will lead to non - zero resonance peaks, which is a characteristic that integer statistics do not have. ### Main conclusions - **Non - zero peaks of tunneling conductance**: When tunneling through a linear structure of three antidots, the exchange statistics of anyons will lead to non - zero resonance peaks in the tunneling conductance, which will not occur under integer statistics. - **Coulomb interaction and exchange statistics**: In the antidot loop, the Coulomb interaction will affect the energy separation between different quasiparticle number states, but will not change the energy level structure of a given quasiparticle number state. In the linear structure without loops, the exchange statistics mainly affect the DC tunneling conductance through the tunneling matrix elements. ### Mathematical expressions - **Quasiparticle Hamiltonian**: \[ H=\sum_{x}\left(\epsilon_{x} n_{x}-\left(\Delta_{x} \xi_{x + 1}^{\dagger} \xi_{x}+\text{h.c.}\right)\right)+\sum_{x < y} U_{x,y} n_{x} n_{y} \] where \(\epsilon_{x}\) is the local state energy on the antidot, \(\Delta_{x}\) is the tunneling coupling, \(U_{x,y}\) is the Coulomb repulsion between quasiparticles, and \(n_{x}\equiv\xi_{x}^{\dagger} \xi_{x}\). - **Relations of anyon operators**: \[ \xi_{x}=e^{i\pi(\nu - 1)\sum_{z < x} n_{z}} c_{x}, \quad \xi_{y} \xi_{x}=\xi_{x} \xi_{y}e^{i\pi\nu \text{sgn}(x - y)} \] - **Wave function of two - quasiparticle state**: \[ \psi_{l}(x,y)=\frac{e^{i\pi(1-\nu)\text{sgn}(x - y)/2}}{\sqrt{2}}\det\begin{pmatrix}\phi_{q}(x)&\phi_{q}(y)\\\phi_{p}(x)&\phi_{p}(y)\end{pmatrix} \] - **Tunneling matrix element**: \[ \langle 2l|\xi_{z}^{\dagger}|1k\rangle=\sqrt{2}\sum_{x}\psi_{l}^{*}(x,z)\phi_{k}(x) \] Through these theoretical models and calculations, the paper reveals the unique manifestation of the exchange statistics of anyons in the tunneling conductance, providing a theoretical basis for experimental observations.
