In certain localized setting we construct Langlands correspondence from smooth representation side to Weil side through geometrized generalized Bernstein center.

Abstract:We state a conjecture, local Langlands in families, connecting the centre of the category of smooth representations on $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{q}^{-1}]$-modules of a quasi-split $p$-adic group $\mathrm{G}$ (where $q$ is the cardinality of the residue field of the underlying local field), the ring of global functions on the stack of Langlands parameters for $\mathrm{G}$ over $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{q}^{-1}]$, and the endomorphisms of a Gelfand-Graev representation for $\mathrm{G}$. For a class of classical $p$-adic groups (symplectic, unitary, or split odd special orthogonal groups), we prove this conjecture after inverting an integer depending only on $\mathrm{G}$. Along the way, we show that the local Langlands correspondence for classical $p$-adic groups (1) preserves integrality of $\ell$-adic representations; (2) satisfies an "extended" (generic) packet conjecture; (3) is compatible with parabolic induction up to semisimplification (generalizing a result of Moussaoui), hence induces a semisimple local Langlands correspondence; and (4) the semisimple correspondence is compatible with automorphisms of $\mathbb{C}$ fixing $\sqrt{q}$.

Abstract:Let $G$ and $\check{G}$ be Langlands dual connected reductive groups. We establish a monoidal equivalence of $\infty$-categories between equivariant quasicoherent sheaves on the formal neighborhood of the nilpotent cone in $G$ and Steinberg-Whittaker D-modules on the loop group of $\check{G}$, as conjectured by Bezrukavnikov. More generally, we establish equivalences between various spectral and automorphic realizations of affine Hecke categories and their modules, confirming conjectures of Bezrukavnikov.

Abstract:In this paper we prove a novel result on two categories that appear in the local Langlands correspondence, for generalized Steinberg representations. Let $G$ be a semisimple reductive group split over a $p$-adic field $F$. The main result of this paper shows that category of modules over the extension algebra of generalized Steinberg representations of $G(F)$ appears as a full subcategory of equivariant perverse sheaves on the variety of Langlands parameters for these representations.

Abstract:This paper performs the following steps toward the proof of GLC in the de Rham setting: (i) We deduce GLC for G=GL_n; (ii) We prove that the Langlands functor L_G constructed in [GLC1], when restricted to the cuspidal category, is ambidextrous; (iii) We reduce GLC to the study of a certain classical vector bundle with connection on the stack of irreducible local systems; (iv) We prove that GLC is equivalent to the contractibility of the space of generic oper structures on irreducible local systems; (v) Using [BKS], we deduce GLC for classical groups.

Abstract:We construct the geometric Langlands functor in one direction (from the automorphic to the spectral side) in characteristic zero settings (i.e., de Rham and Betti). We prove that various forms of the conjecture (de Rham vs Betti, restricted vs. non-restricted, tempered vs. non-tempered) are equivalent. We also discuss structural properties of Hecke eigensheaves.

Mirror Symmetry for Special Nilpotent Orbit Closures

Abstract:Motivated by geometric Langlands, we initiate a program to study the mirror symmetry between nilpotent orbit closures of a semisimple Lie algebra and those of its Langlands dual. The most interesting case is $B_n$ via $C_n$. Classically, there is a famous Springer duality between special orbits. Therefore, it is natural to speculate that the mirror symmetry we seek may coincide with Springer duality in the context of special orbits. Unfortunately, such a naive statement fails. To remedy the situation, we propose a conjecture which asserts the mirror symmetry for certain parabolic/induced covers of special orbits. Then, we prove the conjecture for Richardson orbits and obtain certain partial results in general. In the process, we reveal some very interesting and yet subtle structures of these finite covers, which are related to Lusztig's canonical quotients of special nilpotent orbits. For example, there is a mysterious asymmetry in the footprint or range of degrees of these finite covers. Finally, we provide two examples to show that the mirror symmetry fails outside the footprint.

Abstract:We discuss recent developments in the Langlands program for function fields, and in the geometric Langlands program. In particular we explain a canonical decomposition of the space of cuspidal automorphic forms for any reductive group G over a function field, indexed by global Langlands parameters. The proof uses the cohomology of G-shtukas with multiple modifications and the geometric Satake equivalence.

Abstract:We calculate various categories of equivariant sheaves on the Beilinson-Drinfeld Grassmannian in Langlands dual terms. For one, we obtain the factorizable derived geometric Satake theorem. More generally, we calculate the categorical analogue of unramified vectors in the Jacquet module of sheaves on the Grassmannian. In all cases, our spectral categories involve factorization modules for factorization algebras related to the Langlands dual group.

Abstract:The Bruhat-Tits theory is a key ingredient in the construction of irreducible smooth representations of $p$-adic reductive groups. We describe generalizations to arbitrary such representations of several results recently obtained in the case of supercuspidal representations, in particular regarding the local Langlands correspondence and the internal structure of the $L$-packets. We prove that the enhanced $L$-parameters with semisimple cuspidal support are those which are obtained via the (ordinary) Springer correspondence. Let ${\mathbf G}$ be a connected reductive group over a non-archimedean field $F$ of residual characteristic $p$. In the case where ${\mathbf G}$ splits over a tamely ramified extension of $F$ and $p$ does not divide the order of the Weyl group of ${\mathbf G}$, we show that the enhanced $L$-parameters with semisimple cuspidal support correspond to the irreducible smooth representations of ${\mathbf G}(F)$ with non-singular supercuspidal support via the local Langlands correspondence constructed by Kaletha, under the assumption that the latter satisfies certain expected properties. As a consequence, we obtain that every compound $L$-packet of ${\mathbf G}(F)$ contains at least one representation with non-singular supercuspidal support.

$\infty$-Categorical Generalized Langlands Program I: Mixed-Parity Modules and Sheaves

Abstract:Mixed-parity module emerges for instance when a de Rham Galois representation is being tensored with a square root of cyclotomic character, which produces half odd integers as the corresponding Hodge-Tate weights. We build the whole foundation on the $p$-adic Hodge theory in this setting over small $v$-stacks after Scholze and we also consider certain moduli $v$-stack which parametrizes families of mixed-parity Hodge modules. Examples of the small $v$-stacks in our mind are rigid analytic spaces over $p$-adic fields and moduli $v$-stack of vector bundles over Fargues-Fontaine curves. The preparation implemented at this level will be expected to provide further essential foundationalization for generalized Langlands program after Langlands, Drinfeld, Fargues-Scholze. One side of the generalized Langlands correspondence in the geometric setting is the perverse motivic derived $\infty$-category over $\mathrm{Moduli}_G$ related to smooth representations of reductive groups, while the other side of the generalized Langlands correspondence in the geometric setting is the corresponding derived $\infty$-category over the stack of mixed-parity $L$-parametrizations (i.e. from two-fold covering of the Weil group into $\ell$-adic groups) related to the representations of Weil group in our setting into Langlands dual groups. Although after Scholze and Fargues-Scholze our generalized Langlands program can go along $\ell$-adic cohomologicalization to immediately achieve various solid derived $\infty$-categories $\mathrm{DerCat}_\text{ét}(\mathrm{Moduli}_G,\square)$, $\mathrm{DerCat}_\mathrm{lisse, \blacksquare}(\mathrm{Moduli}_G,\square)$, $\mathrm{DerCat}_{\blacksquare}(\mathrm{Moduli}_G,\square)$ and so on with well-established formalism regarding 6-functors, we already provide certain $p$-adic cohomologicalization of the story over $\mathrm{Moduli}_G$.

Abstract:Kazhdan and Lusztig identified the affine Hecke algebra $\mathcal{H}$ with an equivariant $K$-group of the Steinberg variety, and applied this to prove the Deligne-Langlands conjecture, i.e., the local Langlands parametrization of irreducible representations of reductive groups over nonarchimedean local fields $F$ with an Iwahori-fixed vector. We apply techniques from derived algebraic geometry to pass from $K$-theory to Hochschild homology and thereby identify $\mathcal{H}$ with the endomorphisms of a coherent sheaf on the stack of unipotent Langlands parameters, the coherent Springer sheaf. As a result the derived category of $\mathcal{H}$-modules is realized as a full subcategory of coherent sheaves on this stack, confirming expectations from strong forms of the local Langlands correspondence (including recent conjectures of Fargues-Scholze, Hellmann and Zhu). In the case of the general linear group our result allows us to lift the local Langlands classification of irreducible representations to a categorical statement: we construct a full embedding of the derived category of smooth representations of $\mathrm{GL}_n(F)$ into coherent sheaves on the stack of Langlands parameters.

Abstract:Using the results of J. Arthur on the representation theory of classical groups with additional work by Colette Moeglin and its relation with representations of affine Hecke algebras established by the author, we show that the category of smooth complex representations of a split $p$-adic classical group and its pure inner forms is naturally decomposed into subcategories which are equivalent to a tensor product of categories of unipotent representations of classical groups (in the sense of G. Lusztig). A statement of this kind had been conjecture by G. Lusztig. All classical groups (general linear, orthogonal, symplectic and unitary groups) appear in this context. We get also parameterizations of representations of affine Hecke algebras, which seem not all to be in the literature yet. All this should also shed some light on what is known as the stable Bernstein center.

Abstract:We prove that Fargues-Scholze's semisimplified local Langlands correspondence (for quasisplit groups) with $\overline{\mathbb{F}}_\ell$-coefficients is compatible with Deligne and Kazhdan's philosophy of close fields. From this, we deduce that the same holds with $\overline{\mathbb{Q}}_\ell$-coefficients after restricting to wild inertia, addressing questions of Gan-Harris-Sawin and Scholze. The proof involves constructing a moduli space of nonarchimedean local fields and then extending Fargues-Scholze's work to this context.

Abstract:Let $G_\mathbb R$ be a connected real reductive group and let $X$ be the corresponding complex symmetric variety under the Cartan bijection. We construct a canonical equivalence between the relative Satake category of $G(\mathcal O)$-equivariant $\mathbb C$-constructible complexes on the loop space of $X$ and the real Satake category of $G_\mathbb R(\mathcal O_\mathbb R)$-equivariant $\mathbb C$-constructible complexes on the real affine Grassmannian. We show that the equivalence is $t$-exact with respect to the natural perverse $t$-structures and is compatible with the fusion products and Hecke actions. We further show that the relative Satake category is equivalent to the category of $\mathbb C$-constructible complexes on the moduli stack of $G_\mathbb R$-bundles on the real projective line $\mathbb P^1(\mathbb R)$ and hence provides a connection between the relative Langlands program and the geometric Langlands program for real groups. We provide numerous applications of the main theorems to real and relative Langlands duality including the formality and commutativity conjectures for the real and relative Satake categories and an identification of the dual groups for $G_\mathbb R$ and $X$.

Abstract:We prove the second adjointness in the setting of the categorical local Langlands correspondence. Moreover, we study the relation between Eisenstein series and cuspidal supports and present a conjectural characterization of irreducible smooth representations with supercuspidal $L$-parameters regarding geometric constant terms. The main technical ingredient is an induction principle for geometric Eisenstein series which allows us to reduce to the situations already treated in the literature.

Abstract:We study the locally analytic theory of infinite level local Shimura varieties. As a main result, we prove that in the case of a duality of local Shimura varieties, the locally analytic vectors of different period sheaves at infinite level are independent of the actions of the $p$-adic Lie groups $G$ and $G_b$ of the two towers; this generalizes a result of Pan for the Lubin-Tate and Drinfeld spaces for $GL_2$. We apply this theory to show that the $p$-adic Jacquet-Langlands functor of Scholze commutes with the passage to locally analytic vectors, and is compatible with central characters of Lie algebras. We also prove that the compactly supported de Rham cohomology of the two towers are isomorphic as smooth representations of $G\times G_b$.

Abstract:We formulate some refinements and complements to the categorical local Langlands conjecture of Fargues-Scholze. In particular, we state the expected compatibilities with Eisenstein series and duality, and explain some of their consequences. We also begin the process of matching t-structures on both sides. Notably, we introduce the so-called hadal t-structure on the automorphic side, which has good finiteness properties, and which conjecturally matches with a suitable perverse coherent t-structure on the spectral side.
