Abstract:In this article we prove that every entire curve in the complement of a generic hypersurface of degree $d\geq 586$ in $\mathbb{P}_{\mathbb{C}}^{3}$ is algebraically degenerate i.e there exists a proper subvariety which contains the entire curve.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is about the weak analytic hyperbolicity of high - degree algebraic surfaces in the complex projective 3 - space. Specifically, the author proves that for a general hypersurface \(X\subset \mathbb{P}^3_{\mathbb{C}}\) of a sufficiently high degree \(d\geq586\), any entire curve \(f:\mathbb{C}\to \mathbb{P}^3_{\mathbb{C}}\setminus X\) is algebraically degenerate, that is, there exists a proper sub - variety \(Y\subset \mathbb{P}^3_{\mathbb{C}}\) such that \(f(\mathbb{C})\subset Y\). ### Background In complex geometry, Kobayashi hyperbolicity is an important concept, which studies whether a given complex manifold \(X\) satisfies certain hyperbolic conditions. For hypersurfaces in projective spaces, the Kobayashi conjecture poses two main problems: 1. **Conjecture 1**: A general hypersurface \(X\subset \mathbb{P}^{n + 1}\) (\(n\geq2\)), if its degree \(\deg X\geq2n + 1\), then \(X\) is hyperbolic. 2. **Conjecture 2**: For a general hypersurface \(X\subset \mathbb{P}^n\) (\(n\geq2\)), if its degree \(\deg X\geq2n + 1\), then \(\mathbb{P}^n\setminus X\) is hyperbolic. ### Main contributions of the paper In this paper, the author Erwan Rousseau studies a weak form of Conjecture 2 in the logarithmic sense and proves the following result: - For a general hypersurface \(X\subset \mathbb{P}^3_{\mathbb{C}}\), if its degree \(d = \deg(X)\geq586\), then any entire curve \(f:\mathbb{C}\to \mathbb{P}^3_{\mathbb{C}}\setminus X\) is algebraically degenerate, that is, there exists a proper sub - variety \(Y\subset \mathbb{P}^3_{\mathbb{C}}\) such that \(f(\mathbb{C})\subset Y\). ### Proof methods The author uses two main techniques to prove this result: 1. **Construction of logarithmic vector fields**: This is a generalization of the methods of Clemens, Ein and Voisin et al. for constructing vector fields on logarithmic spaces. 2. **Logarithmic jet differential bundles**: Through the global sections of these bundles, algebraic differential equations satisfied by any entire curve \(f:\mathbb{C}\to X\setminus D\) can be provided. The key is to generate a sufficient number of algebraically independent global holomorphic logarithmic jet differentials. ### Conclusion The results of this paper provide new insights into understanding the hyperbolic properties of high - degree hypersurfaces in the complex projective 3 - space, especially in the logarithmic setting. This result is of great significance for the development of complex geometry and hyperbolicity theory.
