Abstract:There are several researches on Lie algebras and Lie superalgebras graded by finite root systems. In this paper, we study Leibniz algebras graded by finite root systems and obtain some results in simply-laced cases.

Abstract:In general, the study of gradations has always represented a cornerstone in algebra theory. In particular, \textit{naturally graded} seems to be the first and the most relevant gradation when it comes to nilpotent algebras, a large class of solvable ones. In fact, many families of relevant solvable algebras have been obtained by extensions of naturally graded nilpotent algebras, i.e. solvable algebras with a well-structured nilradical. Thus, the aim of this work is introducing the concept of naturally graded for superalgebra structures such as Lie and (non-Lie) Leibniz. After having defined naturally graded Lie and Leibniz superalgebras, we characterize natural gradations on a very important class of each of them, that is, those with maximal super-nilindex.

Fine gradings of complex simple Lie algebras and Finite Root Systems

Abstract: A $G$-grading on a complex semisimple Lie algebra $L$, where $G$ is a finite abelian group, is called quasi-good if each homogeneous component is 1-dimensional and 0 is not in the support of the grading. Analogous to classical root systems, we define a finite root system $R$ to be some subset of a finite symplectic abelian group satisfying certain axioms. There always corresponds to $R$ a semisimple Lie algebra $L(R)$ together with a quasi-good grading on it. Thus one can construct nice basis of $L(R)$ by means of finite root systems. We classify finite maximal abelian subgroups $T$ in $\Aut(L)$ for complex simple Lie algebras $L$ such that the grading induced by the action of $T$ on $L$ is quasi-good, and show that the set of roots of $T$ in $L$ is always a finite root system. There are five series of such finite maximal abelian subgroups, which occur only if $L$ is a classical simple Lie algebra.

Abstract:Splints of root system of simple lie algebras appears naturally on studies of embedding of reductive subalgebras. A splint can be used to construct a branching rules as implementation of this idea simplifies calculation of branching coefficient. We extend the concept of splints to classical lie superalgebras cases as these algebras have wide application in physics.

Abstract:We study the structure of graded Lie superalgebras with arbitrary dimension and over an arbitrary field ${\mathbb K}$. We show that any of such algebras ${\mathfrak L}$ with a symmetric $G$-support is of the form ${\mathfrak L} = U + \sum\limits_{j}I_{j}$ with $U$ a subspace of ${\mathfrak L}_1$ and any $I_{j}$ a well described graded ideal of ${\mathfrak L}$, satisfying $[I_j,I_k] = 0$ if $j\neq k$. Under certain conditions, it is shown that ${\mathfrak L} = (\bigoplus\limits_{k \in K} I_k) \oplus (\bigoplus\limits_{q \in Q} I_q),$ where any $I_k$ is a gr-simple graded ideal of ${\mathfrak L}$ and any $I_q$ a completely determined low dimensional non gr-simple graded ideal of ${\mathfrak L}$, satisfying $[I_q,I_{q'}] = 0$ for any $q'\in Q$ with $q \neq q'$.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to investigate the algebraic structure that appears on $|3|-$gradings $\mathfrak{n}=\mathfrak{n}_{-3}\oplus \cdots \oplus \mathfrak{n}_3$ of a complex simple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{n}$. In particular, we completely determine the possible reductive algebras $\mathfrak{n}_0$ and prove that the only free nilpotent Lie algebra of step 3 that appears as the negative part $\mathfrak{n}_{-3}\oplus\mathfrak{n}_{-2}\oplus\mathfrak{n}_{-1}$ of a grading is the usual $|3|-$grading of the exceptional Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}_2$.

Abstract:A G-grading on an algebra, where G is an abelian group, is called multiplicity-free if each homogeneous component of the grading is 1-dimensional. We introduce skew root systems of Lie type and skew root systems of Jordan type, and use them to construct multiplicity-free gradings on semisimple Lie algebras and on semisimple Jordan algebras respectively. Under certain conditions the corresponding Lie (resp., Jordan) algebras are simple. Two families of skew root systems of Lie type (resp., of Jordan type) are constructed and the corresponding Lie (resp., Jordan) algebras are identified. This is a new approach to study abelian group gradings on Lie and Jordan algebras.

Abstract:We study the structure of arbitrary split Leibniz superalgebras. We show that any of such superalgebras ${\frak L}$ is of the form ${\frak L} = {\mathcal U} + \sum_jI_j$ with ${\mathcal U}$ a subspace of an abelian (graded) subalgebra $H$ and any $I_j$ a well described (graded) ideal of ${\frak L}$ satisfying $[I_j,I_k] = 0$ if $j \neq k$. In the case of ${\frak L}$ being of maximal length, the simplicity of ${\frak L}$ is also characterized in terms of connections of roots.

Abstract:In this paper we introduce the concept of $n$-Lie-isoclinism on non-Lie Leibniz algebras. Among the results obtained, we provide several characterizations of $n$-Lie-isoclinic classes of Leibniz algebras. Also, we provide a characterization of $n$-Lie-stem Leibniz algebras, and prove that every $n$-Lie-isoclinic class of Leibniz algebras contains a $n$-Lie-stem Leibniz algebra.

Abstract:A set grading on the split simple Lie algebra of type $D_{13}$, that cannot be realized as a group-grading, is constructed by splitting the set of positive roots into a disjoint union of pairs of orthogonal roots, following a pattern provided by the lines of the projective plane over $GF(3)$. This answers in the negative Question 1.11 in Elduque-Kochetov monograph (2013). Similar non-group gradings are obtained for types $D_n$ with $n$ congruent to 1 modulo 12, by substituting the lines in the projective plane by blocks of suitable Steiner systems.

Koszul Lie algebras and their subalgebras

Abstract:This paper examines (restricted) Koszul Lie algebras, a class of positively graded Lie algebras with a quadratic presentation and specific cohomological properties. The study employs HNN-extensions as a key tool for decomposing and analysing these algebras. Building on a previous work on Koszul Lie algebras ("Kurosh theorem for certain Koszul Lie algebras", S. Blumer), this paper also deals with Bloch-Kato Lie algebras, which constitute a distinguished subclass of that of Koszul Lie algebras where all subalgebras generated by elements of degree $1$ have a quadratic presentation. It is shown that Bloch-Kato Lie algebras satisfy a version of the Levi decomposition theorem and that they satisfy the Toral Rank Conjecture. Two new families of such Lie algebras are introduced, including all graded Lie algebras generated in degree $1$ and defined by two quadratic relations. Throughout the paper, we show many properties of right-angled Artin graded (RAAG) Lie algebras, which form a large class of Koszul Lie algebras.

Abstract:We study central extensions of the Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{s}\mathfrak{l}_n(A)$ when A is a ℤ/2ℤ-graded superalgebra over a commutative ring K. Steinberg Lie superalgebras and their central extensions play an essential role. We use a ℤ/2ℤ-graded version of cyclic homology to study the center of the extensions in question.

Abstract:In this paper we study non-nilpotent non-Lie Leibniz $\mathbb{F}$-algebras with one-dimensional derived subalgebra, where $\mathbb{F}$ is a field with $\operatorname{char}(\mathbb{F}) \neq 2$. We prove that such an algebra is isomorphic to the direct sum of the two-dimensional non-nilpotent non-Lie Leibniz algebra and an abelian algebra. We denote it by $L_n$, where $n=\dim_{\mathbb{F}} L_n$. This generalizes the result found in [11], which is only valid when $\mathbb{F}=\mathbb{C}$. Moreover, we find the Lie algebra of derivations, its Lie group of automorphisms and the Leibniz algebra of biderivations of $L_n$. Eventually, we solve the coquecigrue problem for $L_n$ by integrating it into a Lie rack.

Abstract:In this paper, we develop structure theory for graded regular graded self-injective rings and apply it in the context of Leavitt path algebras. We show that for a finite graph, graded regular graded self-injective Leavitt path algebras are of graded type I and these are precisely graded $\Sigma$-$V$ Leavitt path algebras.

Abstract:We consider the problem of classifying gradings by groups on a finite-dimensional algebra $A$ (with any number of multilinear operations) over an algebraically closed field. We introduce a class of gradings, which we call almost fine, such that every $G$-grading on $A$ is obtained from an almost fine grading on $A$ in an essentially unique way, which is not the case with fine gradings. For abelian groups, we give a method of obtaining all almost fine gradings if fine gradings are known. We apply these ideas to the case of semisimple Lie algebras in characteristic $0$: to any abelian group grading with nonzero identity component, we attach a (possibly nonreduced) root system and, in the simple case, construct an adapted grading by this root system.
