Abstract:This article concerns the Lp Minkowski problem for q-capacity. We consider the case p >= 1 and 1 < q < nin the smooth category by a kind of curvature flow, which converges smoothly to the solution of a Monge-Amp & eacute;re type equation. We show the existence of smooth solution to the problem for p >= n. We also provide a proof for the weak solution to the problem when p >= 1, which has been obtained by Zou and Xiong.

Abstract:We prove $C^\infty$ convergence for suitably normalized solutions of the parabolic complex Monge-Ampère equation on compact Hermitian manifolds. This provides a parabolic proof of a recent result of Tosatti and Weinkove.

Abstract:Consider the following variational inclusion problem: where f is differentiable in a neighbourhood of a solution and g is differentiable at , and F is a set-valued mapping, and the method introduced in Jean-Alexis and Pietrus [C. Jean-Alexis and A. Pietrus, On the convergence of some methods for variational inclusions, Rev. R. Acad. Cien. serie A. Mat. 102(2) (2008), pp. 355–361] for solving this problem: where ∇f(x) denotes the Fréchet derivative of f at x and [x, y; g] the first-order divided difference of g on the points x and y. Local converge analysis are provided for the method under the weaker conditions than Jean-Alexis and Pietrus (2008). Moreover, if ∇f and the first-order divided difference of g are p-Hölder continuous at a solution, then we show that this method converges superlinearly. In particular, our results extend the corresponding ones Jean-Alexis and Pietrus (2008), and fix a gap in the proof in (Jean-Alexis and Pietrus (2008), Theorem 1).
Convergence of cones of metric measure spaces and its application to Cauchy distribution

Abstract:We prove that the sequence of cones of metric measure spaces converges if the sequence of base spaces converges in Gromov's box, concentration, and weak topologies. As an application, we show that the generalized Cauchy distribution with suitable scaling converges to a half line in the concentration topology as the dimension diverges to infinity. This is a new example distinguished from previously known examples such as Gaussian distributions and typical closed Riemannian manifolds with constant Ricci curvature.

Abstract:Let {f(n) : D --> D} be a sequence of locally quasiconformal harmonic maps on the unit disk D with respect to the Poincare metric. Suppose that the energy densities of fn are uniformly bounded from below by a positive constant and locally uniformly bounded from above. Then there is a subsequence of {f(n)} that locally uniformly converges on D, and the limit function is either a locally quasiconformal harmonic map of the Poincare disk or a constant. Especially, if the limit function is not a constant, the subsequence can be chosen to satisfy some stronger conditions. As an application, it is proved that every point of the space T-0(D), a subspace of the universal Teichmuller space, can be represented by a quasiconformal harmonic map that is an asymptotic hyperbolic isometry.

Abstract:We prove that the Bergman measure along a holomorphic family of curves parametrized by the punctured unit disk converges to the Zhang measure on the associated Berkovich space. The convergence takes place on a Berkovich hybrid space. We also study the convergence of the Bergman measure to a measure on a metrized curve complex in the sense of Amini and Baker.

Abstract:In this paper, pointwise convergence, uniform convergence and compact convergence of sequences of holomorphic functions on an open subset of the complex plane are compared from a linear point of view. In fact, it is proved the existence of large linear algebras consisting, except for zero, of sequences of holomorphic functions tending to zero compactly but not uniformly on the open set or of sequences of holomorphic functions tending pointwisely to zero but not compactly. Also dense linear subspaces in an appropriate Fréchet space as well as infinite dimensional Banach spaces of sequences converging to zero in the mentioned modes are shown to exist.

Abstract:We study the asymptotics of complete Kaehler-Einstein metrics on strictly pseudoconvex domains in C^n and derive a convergence theorem for solutions to the corresponding Monge-Ampere equation. If only a portion of the boundary is analytic, the solutions satisfy Gevrey type estimates for tangential derivatives. A counterexample for the model linearized equation suggests that there is no local convergence theorem for the complex Monge-Ampere equation

Abstract:In this paper, we establish convergence rate estimates for convex solutions to the Dirichlet problem of the Monge-Ampere equation det D(2)u = f in Omega, where f is a positive and continuous function and Omega is a bounded convex domain in the Euclidean space R-n. We approximate the solution u by a sequence of convex polyhedra v(h) , which are generalized solutions to the Monge- Ampere equation in the sense of Aleksandrov, and the associated Monge-Ampere measures nu(h) are supported on a properly chosen grid in Omega. We will derive the convergence rate estimates for the cases when f is smooth, Holder continuous, and merely continuous.

Abstract:We introduce a wide subclass ${\cal F}(X,\omega)$ of quasi-plurisubharmonic functions in a compact Kähler manifold, on which the complex Monge-Ampère operator is well-defined and the convergence theorem is valid. We also prove that ${\cal F}(X,\omega)$ is a convex cone and includes all quasi-plurisubharmonic functions which are in the Cegrell class.

Abstract: Based on uniform CR Sobolev inequality and Moser iteration, this paper investigates the convergence of closed pseudo-Hermitian manifolds. In terms of the subelliptic inequality, the set of closed normalized pseudo-Einstein manifolds with some uniform geometric conditions is compact. Moreover, the set of closed normalized Sasakian $\eta$-Einstein $(2n+1)$-manifolds with Carnot-Carath\'eodory distance bounded from above, volume bounded from below and $L^{n + \frac{1}{2}}$ norm of pseudo-Hermitian curvature bounded is $C^\infty$ compact. As an application, we will deduce some pointed convergence of complete K\"ahler cones with Sasakian manifolds as their links.

Abstract:Let $\Omega$ be a smooth, bounded subset of $\mathbb{R}^3$ diffeomorphic to a ball. Consider $M = \mathbb{R}^3 \setminus \Omega$ equipped with an asymptotically flat metric $g = f^4 g_{\text{euc}}$, where $f\to 1$ at infinity. Assume that $g$ has non-negative scalar curvature and that $\Sigma = \partial M$ is a minimal 2-sphere in the $g$ metric. We prove a sharp inequality relating the ADM mass of $M$ with the conformal capacity of $\Omega$. As a corollary, we deduce a sharp lower bound for the ADM mass of $M$ in terms of the Euclidean volume of $\Omega$. We also prove a stability type result for this ``volumetric Penrose inequality.'' The proofs are based on a monotonicity formula holding along the level sets of a 3-harmonic function.

Abstract:In this paper we look for the existence of large linear and algebraic structures of sequences of measurable functions with different modes of convergence. Concretely, the algebraic size of the family of sequences that are convergent in measure but not a.e. pointwise, uniformly but not pointwise convergent, and uniformly convergent but not in <span class="InlineEquation">$L^1$</span>-norm, are analyzed. These findings extend and complement a number of earlier results by several authors.

Abstract:We review and provide simplified proofs related to the Magnus expansion, and improve convergence estimates. Observations and improvements concerning the Baker--Campbell--Hausdorff expansion are also made. In this Part IE, we consider the case of finite dimensional Banach algebras. We show that Magnus expansion is convergent (and works in logarithmic sense) if the cumulative norm $< 2+\varepsilon_{n}$, where $\varepsilon_{n}$ is a positive number depending on the dimension $n$ of the Banach algebra. We also show concrete finite-dimensional counterexamples of multiple Baker--Campbell--Hausdorff type for any cumulative norm $>2$ (necessarily of possibly great dimension).

Abstract:We study the condenser capacity $\mathrm{cap}_p(E,\Omega)$ on \emph{unbounded} open sets $\Omega$ in a proper connected metric space $X$ equipped with a locally doubling measure supporting a local $p$-Poincaré inequality, where $1<p<\infty$. Using a new definition of capacitary potentials, we show that $\mathrm{cap}_p$ is countably subadditive and that it is a Choquet capacity. We next obtain formulas for the capacity of superlevel sets for the capacitary potential. These are then used to show that $p$-harmonic Green functions exist in an unbounded domain $\Omega$ if and only if either $X$ is $p$-hyperbolic or the Sobolev capacity $C_p(X\setminus \Omega)>0$. As an application, we deduce new results for Perron solutions and boundary regularity for the Dirichlet boundary value problem for $p$-harmonic functions in unbounded open sets.

Abstract:We investigate the almost everywhere convergence of sequences of convolution operators given by probability measures $\mu_n$ on $\mathbb R$. If this sequence of operators constitutes an approximate identity on a particular class of functions $\mathcal F$, under what additional conditions do we have $\mu_n \ast f \to f$ a.e. for all $f \in \mathcal F$?
