Abstract:This paper focuses on an attraction-repulsion chemotaxis system coupled with a logistic source, in a smoothly bounded domain ( ), where with , and . The constants , , , , and are all positive. We establish the existence of a unique, globally bounded classical solution for this system under specific conditions: when and , or when and , assuming that . By imposing additional assumptions on the coefficients, we also derive the asymptotic behavior of the solution. Notably, our proof technique relies heavily on the use of , a term typically employed in low-dimensional settings. We extend its applicability to arbitrary dimensions, thereby improving upon previous results reported in [17,33] which require for and specifically for .

Abstract:This paper is devoted to a chemotaxis system with signal-dependent motility under homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions in a bounded domain. We prove that this problem possesses a global classical solution which is uniformly bounded under weaker conditions than that obtained by Lv and Wang (2020). The findings of our study demonstrate the presence of a consistent decay rate, effectively ruling out the occurrence of blow-up phenomena in the system across all spatial dimensions.

Abstract:While much literature on chemotaxis systems focuses on bounded domains, this paper emphasizes the global existence of classical solutions for three primary chemotaxis systems with a logistic source on $\mathbb{R}^n$. We present a unified proof demonstrating global existence of solutions can be deduced from their locally uniform boundedness in $L^p(\mathbb{R}^n)$ for some $p>\max\{1,\frac{n}{2}\}$. We then provide sufficient conditions for the global existence and boundedness of classical solutions. Notably, our findings even improve several existing results for bounded domains.

Abstract:This article deals with a class of chemotaxis systems describing mechanisms from mathematical biology. In the specific, for a rather general class of attraction-repulsion models, with nonlinear productions, diffusion, sensitivities and logistic term, we are interested in deriving interplays on the parameters involved in the problem capable to ensure globality and boundedness of related solutions. This project is precisely contextualized in the frame of a series of results dealing with local and nonlocal, and linear and nonlinear, attraction-repulsion chemotaxis systems. For these problems, rooms of improvements are still open; in this sense, this research exactly enhances and extends already known analyses in the literature. More specifically, a direct comparison with [Jiao, Jadlovská, Li, Nonlinear Anal. Real World Appl., 2023; Ren, Liu, Math. Models Methods Appl. Sci., 2020; Chiyo, Yokota, Z. Angew. Math. Abstract:This article concerns the chemotaxis-growth system with indirect signal production $$\displaylines{ u_t=\Delta u-\nabla\cdot(u\nabla v)+\mu u(1-u),\quad x\in \Omega,\; t>0,\cr 0=\Delta v-v+w,\quad x\in \Omega,\; t>0,\cr w_t=-\delta w+u,\quad x\in\Omega,\; t>0, }$$ on a smooth bounded domain $\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^n$ ($n\geq1$ with homogeneous Neumann boundary condition, where the parameters $\mu, \delta>0$. It is proved that if $n\leq 2$ and $\mu>0$, for all suitably regular initial data, this model possesses a unique global classical solution which is uniformly-in-time bounded. While in the case $n\geq 3$, we show that if $\mu$ is sufficiently large, this system possesses a global bounded solution. Furthermore, the large time behavior and rates of convergence have also been considered under some explicit conditions.

Abstract:This paper is framed in a series of studies on attraction–repulsion chemotaxis models combining different effects: nonlinear diffusion and sensitivities and logistic sources, for the dynamics of the cell density, and consumption and/or production impacts, for those of the chemicals. In particular, herein we focus on the situation where the signal responsible of gathering tendencies for the particles' distribution is produced, while the opposite counterpart is consumed. In such a sense, this research complements the results in Frassu et al. (Math Methods Appl Sci 45:11067–11078, 2022) and Chiyo et al. (Commun Pure Appl Anal, 2023, doi: 10.3934/cpaa.2023047), where the chemicals evolve according to different laws.

Abstract:We study the existence of global boundedness solutions to the fully parabolic chemotaxis systems with logistic sources, $ru- \mu u^2$, under nonlinear Neumann boundary conditions, $\frac{\partial u}{\partial \nu }= |u|^p$ where $p >1 $ in smooth bounded domain $\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^n$ with $n \geq 2$. A recent study by Le (2023) has shown that the logistic sources can ensure that solutions are global and bounded when $n =2$ with $p < \frac{3}{2}$ and $n=3$ with $p <\frac{7}{5}$. In this paper, we extend the previous findings by demonstrating the existence of global bounded solutions when $p< \frac{3}{2}$ in any spatial dimension $n \geq 2$.
