Current Situation and Developing Trend of Environmental Supervision in Chinese Construction Projects

Abstract:As a part of the environmental management system,the environmental supervision of construction projects is now in its experimental stage,with needs of further perfection in terms of managerial system. Based on researches into the implementation of environmental supervisions in China,the background,development and present state in this area are introduced,the accomplishments so far made are concluded,and the progresses of this work in some provinces,cities and autonomous regions are compared. Moreover,the deficiencies in the supervision works carried out by the environmental administration departments both at national and local levels are analyzed. Suggestions are accordingly proposed to improve and strengthen our environmental managerial system so as to give it a more important role in real operations.
