Abstract:The aim of this article is to study some invariants of associative algebras under stable equivalences of Morita type. First of all, we show that, if two finite-dimensional self-injective k-algebras are stably equivalent of Morita type, then their orbit algebras are isomorphic. Secondly, it is verified that the quasitilted property of an algebra is invariant under stable equivalences of Morita type. As an application of this result, it is obtained that if an algebra is of finite representation type, then its tilted property is invariant under stable equivalences of Morita type; the other application to partial tilting modules is given in Section 4. Finally, we prove that when two finite-dimensional k-algebras are stably equivalent of Morita type, their repetitive algebras are also stably equivalent of Morita type under certain conditions.

Abstract:Inspired by the theory of apartness relations of Scott, we establish a positive theory of dissimilarity valued in an involutive quantale $\mathsf{Q}$ without the aid of negation. It is demonstrated that a set equipped with a $\mathsf{Q}$-valued dissimilarity is precisely a symmetric category enriched in a subquantaloid of the quantaloid of back diagonals of $\mathsf{Q}$. Interactions between $\mathsf{Q}$-valued dissimilarities and $\mathsf{Q}$-valued similarities (which are equivalent to $\mathsf{Q}$-valued equalities in the sense of H{ö}hle--Kubiak) are investigated with the help of lax functors. In particular, it is shown that similarities and dissimilarities are interdefinable if $\mathsf{Q}$ is a Girard quantale with a hermitian and cyclic dualizing element.

Abstract:We show that if two $m$-homogeneous algebras have Morita equivalent graded module categories, then they are quantum-symmetrically equivalent, that is, there is a monoidal equivalence between the categories of comodules for their associated universal quantum groups (in the sense of Manin) which sends one algebra to the other. As a consequence, any Zhang twist of an $m$-homogeneous algebra is a 2-cocycle twist by some 2-cocycle from its Manin's universal quantum group.

Cotorsion pairs and model structures on Morita rings

Abstract:This paper is to study cotorsion pairs and abelian model structures on some Morita rings \ $\Lambda =\left(\begin{smallmatrix} A & {}_AN_B {}_BM_A & B\end{smallmatrix}\right)$. From cotorsion pairs $(\mathcal U, \mathcal X)$ and $(\mathcal V, \mathcal Y)$, respectively in $A$-Mod and $B$-Mod, one constructs 4 kinds of cotorsion pairs in $\Lambda$-Mod. There even exists an algebra $\Lambda$ such that the four cotorsion pairs above are pairwise different. The heredity and completeness of these cotorsion pairs are studied. The problem of identifications, namely, when the first two cotorsion pairs are the same, and when the second two cotorsion pairs are the same, is investigated. Various model structures on $\Lambda$\mbox{-}{\rm Mod} are obtained, by explicitly giving the corresponding Hovey triples and Quillen's homotopy categories. In particular, cofibrantly generated Hovey triples, and the Gillespie-Hovey triples induced by compatible generalized projective (respectively, injective) cotorsion pairs, are explicitly contructed.

Abstract:1 Quantiiers as Modal Operators 1.1 Motivations The semantics for quantiiers described in this paper can be viewed both as a new semantics for generalized quantiiers and as a new look at standard rst-order quantiication, bringing the latter closer to modal logic. The standard semantics for generalized quantiiers interprets a monadic generalized quantiier Q as a set of subsets of a domain. For example, the quantiier "there are precisely two" is interpreted by the set of all subsets of the domain which contain precisely two elements. A formula Qx' is true in a model if the set of elements satisfying ' belongs to the interpretation of the quantiier; in our example, if there are precisely two elements satisfying '. The existential quantiier can be treated as a generalized quantiier, too: it is interpreted as the set of all non-empty subsets of the domain. The universal quantiier is interpreted by the singleton set containing the whole domain. The quantiiers listed so far are rst-order deenable in the following sense: they can be deened using ordinary quantiiers and equality. Many interesting generalized quanti-ers are not rst-order deenable. The present study is motivated by the work of Michiel van Lambalgen (1991) on Gentzen-style proof theory for the quantiiers "for many" (its dual is interpreted as a non-principal lter), "for uncountably many" and "for almost all" (the latter contains all subsets of the domain which have Lebesgue measure 1). All those quantiiers are not rst-order deenable. They have Hilbert-style axiomatizations, but until lately no one believed that they can have a reasonable Gentzen-style proof theory. In order to devise such a proof theory, van Lambalgen used a translation of generalized quan-tiier formulas into a rst-order language enriched with a predicate R of indeenite arity. Observe that this translation is reminiscent of the standard translation of modal formulas into rst-order logic, with the sequence of free variables playing the role of the "actual world" and the quantiier ranging over the variables "accessible" from the given sequence. The idea behind such a translation is as follows. When generalized quantiiers are viewed as rst-order operators (binding rst-order variables), it becomes clear that a variable bound by a generalized quan-tiier cannot in general take any possible value. Abstract:Journal of Algebra and Its Applications, Ahead of Print. The Morita equivalences of classical Brauer algebras and classical Birman–Murakami–Wenzl (BMW) algebras have been well studied. Here, we study the Morita equivalence problems on these two kinds of algebras of simply-laced type, especially for them with the generic parameters. We show that Brauer algebras and BMW algebras of simply-laced type are Morita equivalent to the direct sums of some group algebras of Coxeter groups and some Hecke algebras of Coxeter groups, respectively.

Abstract:In a recent paper \cite{HuXi3}, we introduced a classes of derived equivalences called almost $\nu$-stable derived equivalences. The most important property is that an almost $\nu$-stable derived equivalence always induces a stable equivalence of Morita type, which generalizes a well-known result of Rickard: derived-equivalent self-injective algebras are stably equivalent of Morita type. In this paper, we shall consider the compositions of almost $\nu$-stable derived equivalences and their quasi-inverses, which is called iterated almost $\nu$-stable derived equivalences. We give a sufficient and necessary condition for a derived equivalence to be an iterated almost $\nu$-stable derived equivalence, and give an explicit construction of the stable equivalence functor induced by an iterated almost $\nu$-stable derived equivalence. As a consequence, we get some new sufficient conditions for a derived finite-dimensional algebras to induce a stable equivalence of Morita type.

Abstract:Unitally nondistributive quantales are unital quantales such that the unit is approximable by the totally below relation and does not meet-distribute over arbitrary joins. It is shown that the underlying nondistributive complete lattice contains at least $7$ elements. Moreover, under mild conditions, every quantale has an extension to a unitally nondistributive quantale by the addition of an isolated unit. As a byproduct of this construction we prove that there exist $30$ non-isomorphic, unitally nondistributive quantales on the set of $7$ elements.

Abstract:The classical Morita Theorem for rings established the equivalence of three statements, involving categorical equivalences, isomorphisms between corners of finite matrix rings, and bimodule homomorphisms. A fourth equivalent statement (established later) involves an isomorphism between infinite matrix rings. In our main result, we establish the equivalence of analogous statements involving graded categorical equivalences, graded isomorphisms between corners of finite matrix rings, graded bimodule homomorphisms, and graded isomorphisms between infinite matrix rings.

Abstract:This paper connects complete orthomodular lattices to two enriched quantale structures. Complete orthomodular lattices emphasize a static perspective of a quantum system, helping us reason about testable properties of a quantum system. Quantales offer a dynamic perspective, helping us reason about the structure of quantum actions. We enrich quantales with an orthocomplementation-inducing operator, and call these structures orthomodular dynamic algebras. One type of orthomodular dynamic algebra distinguishes the joins of any two different sets of atoms, while the other distinguishes elements by the collective behavior of the atoms below it. We show that both orthomodular dynamic algebras are unital, and the unit is the top element of an induced orthomodular lattice. We provide a categorical equivalence between both orthomodular dynamic algebras and complete orthomodular lattices with isomorphisms, and we show that this equivalence is preserved when augmenting the orthomodular dynamic algebras with an involution. These equivalences help clarify the relationship between static and dynamic quantum structures.

Abstract:hi this paper, we show that a two-sided quantale is coherent if it is isomorphic to the quantale of ideals of a distributive two-sided *-semilattice. Thus quantale representations of distributive two-sided *-semilattices are obtained. We also show that the free two-sided quantale generated by a set exists. And then the category TQuant of two-sided quantales is an algebraic category.

Abstract:We study Morita equivalence and Morita duality for rings with local units. We extend Auslander's results on the theory of Morita equivalence and the Azumaya–Morita duality theorem to rings with local units. As a consequence, we give a version of Morita theorem and Azumaya–Morita duality theorem over rings with local units in terms of their full subcategory of finitely generated projective unitary modules and full subcategory of finitely generated injective unitary modules.

Abstract:We study Lindstrom quantifiers that satisfy certain closure properties which are motivated by the study of polymorphisms in the context of constraint satisfaction problems (CSP). When the algebra of polymorphisms of a finite structure B satisfies certain equations, this gives rise to a natural closure condition on the class of structures that map homomorphically to B. The collection of quantifiers that satisfy closure conditions arising from a fixed set of equations are rather more general than those arising as CSP. For any such conditions P, we define a pebble game that delimits the distinguishing power of the infinitary logic with all quantifiers that are P-closed. We use the pebble game to show that the problem of deciding whether a system of linear equations is solvable in Z2 is not expressible in the infinitary logic with all quantifiers closed under a near-unanimity condition.
