Abstract:In this article, using generalized derivations, we obtain a simple idea to prove the non-commutative Newton binomial formula in unital algebras and then, we extend that formula to non-unital algebras. Additionally, we establish the non-commutative Newton binomial formula with a negative power.

Abstract:In this paper, types of Leibniz Rule for Riemann-Liouville Variable-Order fractional integral and derivative Operator is developed. The product rule, quotient rule, and chain rule formulas for both integral and differential operators are established. In particular, there are four types of product rule formulas: Product rule type-I, Product rule type-II, Product rule type-III, and Product rule type-Iv. Quotient rule type-I, quotient rule type-II, quotient rule type-III, and quotient rule type-Iv formulas developed from product rule types. There are four types of chain rule formulas: chain rule type-I, chain rule type-II, chain rule type-III, and chain rule type-Iv.

Abstract:When teaching an elementary logic course to students who have a general scientific background but have never been exposed to logic, we have to face the problem that the notions of deduction rule and of derivation are completely new to them, and are related to nothing they already know, unlike, for instance, the notion of model, that can be seen as a generalization of the notion of algebraic structure. In this note, we defend the idea that one strategy to introduce these notions is to start with the notion of inductive definition [1]. Then, the notion of derivation comes naturally. We also defend the idea that derivations are pervasive in logic and that defining precisely this notion at an early stage is a good investment to later define other notions in proof theory, computability theory, automata theory, ... Finally, we defend the idea that to define the notion of derivation precisely, we need to distinguish two notions of derivation: labeled with elements and labeled with rule names. This approach has been taken in [2].

Abstract:In this article, we prove the following result. Let n ≥ 3 be some fixed integer and let R be a prime ring with char ( R ) ≠ ( n + 1 ) ! 2 n − 2 . Suppose there exists an additive mapping D : R → R satisfying the relation for all x ∈ R . In this case, D is a derivation. This result is related to a classical result of Herstein, which states that any Jordan derivation on a prime ring with char ( R ) ≠ 2 is a derivation.

Abstract:In this paper, we derive two versions of divided difference form of the Lagrange–Bürmann expansion formula. The first version expresses all coefficients by a form of a determinant. By means of the factorizations of the generalized Leibniz functional matrices with respect to a sequence, we obtain the second version with coefficients represented by a finite sum. Some new matrix inversions are also investigated.

Abstract:This Note revisits the Leibnitz integral calculus method based on differentiation under the integral sign with respect to a parameter either already existing or introduced ad hoc. Through several cases exemplifying the method, it is shown that this approach, applicable to regular and, under certain conditions, to improper integrals as well, results in a 1st order differential equation whose solution is usually straightforward.

Abstract:In this paper, we first define a concrete representation on an abelian extension of a Leibniz triple system L by a Leibniz triple system A. Using this new representation we construct the third-order cohomology classes by derivations of A and L, which characterize the splitting property of above abelian extensions. Then we study the obstruction for extensibility of derivation pairs. We prove that the set of compatible derivation pairs can define a Lie algebra, whose representation can also characterize the extensibility of the compatible derivation pairs.

Abstract:At first we prove some results on a general polynomial derivation using few results of linear derivation. Then we study the ring of constants of a linear derivation for some rings. We know that any linear derivation is a nonsimple derivation. In the last section we find the smallest integer w > 1 such that the polynomial ring in n variables is w -differentially simple, all w derivations are nonsimple and the w derivations set contains a linear derivation.

Abstract:Leibniz algebras are generalizations of Lie algebras. Similar to Lie algebras, inner derivations play a crucial role in characterizing complete Leibniz algebras. In this work, we demonstrate that the algebra of inner derivations of a Leibniz algebra can be decomposed into the sum of the algebra of left multiplications and a certain ideal. Furthermore, we show that the quotient of the algebra of derivations of the Leibniz algebra by this ideal yields a complete Lie algebra. Our results independently establish that any derivation of a semisimple Leibniz algebra can be expressed as a combination of three derivations. Additionally, we compare the properties of the algebra of inner derivations of Leibniz algebras with the algebra of central derivations.

Abstract:This paper presents a reformulation of the Leibniz product rule as a finite sum that expresses the fractional derivative of the product of two differentiable functions. This paper then proves the cases for when the product consists of an arbitrary differentiable function and a Sheffer sequence , and the case for when the product consists of an arbitrary differentiable function and a confluent hypergeometric limiting function with a positive integer order. Finally, this paper provides example expressions for certain Sheffer sequences: any Apell sequence, the falling factorial, the rising factorial, the exponential polynomial, and the Associated Laguerre polynomial.

Abstract:We initiate a study on a range of new generalized derivations of finite-dimensional Lie algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. This new generalization of derivations has an analogue in the theory of associative prime rings and unites many well-known generalized derivations that have already appeared extensively in the study of Lie algebras and other nonassociative algebras. After exploiting fundamental properties, we introduce and analyze their interiors, especially focusing on the rationality of the corresponding Hilbert series. Applying techniques in computational ideal theory we develop an approach to explicitly compute these new generalized derivations for the three-dimensional special linear Lie algebra over the complex field.

Abstract:Given two real functions on the real line f and g, the Faa di Bruno provides the higher order derivative of the composition of f and g, as a summation over the lower order derivatives of f and g individually. The corresponding multi-dimensional generalization is substantially more difficult due to the complicated combinatorial considerations one must take into account when dealing with standard multi-indices. In this note we provide a simple statement and derivation of the multi-dimensional Faa di Bruno formula by resorting to notions from multiset theory.
