Abstract:Manifestations of rhinitis, cough, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and other symptoms are clinical indications of the common cold, referred as an upper respiratory tract infection, [ 1 ] which includes influenza and is more likely to occur during spring and winter. [ 2 , 3 ] The onset of cold is rapid, with an incubation period of 1 to 3 days, mainly manifested by nasal symptoms, such as sneezing, nasal congestion, runny mucus, but also manifested by cough, dry throat, throat itch, throat pain or burning sensation, and even postnasal drip. After 2 to 3 days, the nose becomes thick, often accompanied by sore throat, tears, reduced taste, poor breathing, hoarseness, etc. [ 3 ] Generally no fever and systemic symptoms, or only low fever, discomfort, mild chills, headache. [ 3 ]
