Abstract:In this article, we study an inhomogeneous second order delay differential equation on the fractal set $\mathbb{R}^{\alpha n}$ $(0<\alpha\leq 1)$, based on the theory of local calculus. We introduce delay cosine and sine type matrix functions and give their properties on the fractal set. Abstract:This paper investigates the asymptotic and oscillatory properties of a distinctive class of third-order linear differential equations characterized by multiple delays in a noncanonical case. Employing the comparative method and the Riccati method, we introduce the novel and rigorous criteria to discern whether the solutions of the examined equation exhibit oscillatory behavior or tend toward zero. Our study contributes to the existing literature by presenting theories that extend and refine the understanding of these properties in the specified context. To validate our findings and demonstrate their applicability in a general setting, we offer two illustrative examples, affirming the robustness and validity of our proposed criteria.

Abstract:The oscillation of a class of fourth-order nonlinear damped delay differential equations with distributed deviating arguments is the subject of this research. We propose a new explanation of the fourth-order equation oscillation in terms of the oscillation of a similar well-studied second-order linear differential equation without damping. The extended Riccati transformation, integral averaging approach, and comparison principles are used to provide some additional oscillatory criteria. An example demonstrates the efficacy of the acquired criteria.

Abstract:The local dynamics of systems of two equations with delay is considered. The main assumption is that the delay parameter is large enough. Critical cases in the problem of the stability of the equilibrium state are identified, and it is shown that they are of infinite dimension. Methods of infinite-dimensional normalization are used and further developed. The main result is the construction of special nonlinear boundary value problems that play the role of normal forms. Their nonlocal dynamics determine the behavior of all solutions of the original system in a neighborhood of the equilibrium state.

Abstract:In this paper, we deal with the asymptotic and oscillatory behavior of quasi-linear delay differential equations of fourth order. We first find new properties for a class of positive solutions of the studied equation, $ \mathcal{N}_{a} $. As an extension of the approach taken in [ 1 ] , we establish a new criterion that guarantees that $ \mathcal{N}_{a} = \emptyset $. Then, we create a new oscillation criterion.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a class of third-order nonlinear delay dynamic equations. First, we establish a Kiguradze-type lemma and some useful estimates. Second, we give a sufficient and necessary condition for the existence of eventually positive solutions having upper bounds and tending to zero. Third, we obtain new oscillation criteria by employing the Pötzsche chain rule. Then, using the generalized Riccati transformation technique and averaging method, we establish the Philos-type oscillation criteria. Surprisingly, the integral value of the Philos-type oscillation criteria, which guarantees that all unbounded solutions oscillate, is greater than θ4(t1, T). The results of Theorem 3.5 and Remark 3.6 are novel. Finally, we offer four examples to illustrate our results.

Abstract:In this study, we introduce and explore a delay differential equation that lends itself to explicit solutions in the Fourier-transformed space. Through the careful alignment of the initial function, we can construct a highly accurate solution to the equation. These findings open new avenues for understanding delay systems, demonstrating the efficacy of Fourier transform techniques in capturing transient oscillatory dynamics.

Abstract:Abstract The oscillation theory of differential equations is an important branch of performance of differential equations, which is widely used in engineering control, vibration mechanics, mechanics, and industry. Therefore, the vibration performance of different parts has attracted people’s attention, and a lot of research work has been done. For a special class of delay differential equations - advanced piecewise continuous differential equations, the oscillation of numerical solution is discussed. The θ − method is used to discretize the equation, and the numerical method is obtained to keep the oscillation of the analytical solution of the equation, progressive conditions. At the same time, four different states of the dynamic behavior are discussed in detail for the analytical solution and the numerical solution respectively. Some numerical examples further verify the corresponding conclusions.

Abstract:In this work, we examine a third-order nonlinear neutral integro-differential equation with constant delay. By building a Lyapunov functional, we obtain some sufficient criteria that ensure the asymptotic stability and boundedness of solutions for an analyzed equation. We present two examples to demonstrate the applicability of our conclusions, which extend and improve several well-known results in the literature.

Abstract:In this paper we study well-posedness and asymptotic stability for a class of nonlinear second-order evolution equations with intermittent delay damping. More precisely, a delay feedback and an undelayed one act alternately in time. We show that, under suitable conditions on the feedback operators, asymptotic stability results are available. Concrete examples included in our setting are illustrated. We give also stability results for an abstract model with alternate positive-negative damping, without delay.

Abstract:We consider an evolution equation with the Caputo-Dzhrbashyan fractional derivative of order $\alpha \in (1,2)$ with respect to the time variable, and the second order uniformly elliptic operator with variable coefficients acting in spatial variables. This equation describes the propagation of stress pulses in a viscoelastic medium. Its properties are intermediate between those of parabolic and hyperbolic equations. In this paper, we construct and investigate a fundamental solution of the Cauchy problem, prove existence and uniqueness theorems for such equations.

Abstract:Existence and stability of solutions are important parts in the qualitative study of delay differential equations. The stabilizing by imposing proper impulse controls are used in many areas of natural sciences and engineering. This article provides sufficient conditions for the existence and exponential stabilization of solutions to delay impulsive differential equations of second-order with multiple delays. The main tools in this article are the Schaefer fixed point theorem, fixed impulse effects, and Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals. The outcomes extend earlier results in the literature.
