Abstract:The market demand of household product becomes heavier and heavier with the subdivision of furniture market. The necessity for daily life become more with the improvement of life quality, besides people have higher requirements of apartments in aspects of both comfort and functional property. It is also the urgent problem for designers to solve that how to store more goods in small space. Storage commodity of high quality will make more spacious and brighter, with characteristics and beauty. There is little study on household storage box, although it is one of the most important household storage products. In the thesis, it makes investigation with the basis of household storage box that is being sold in China market at present time: Firstly, through the investigation on the current market status of household storage box, it knows and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the existing products. Secondly, through the questionnaire survey on users of household storage box, it knows about users’ habits to take advantages of household storage box, analyzes and studies users’ function demands on household storage box, behavior characteristics when purchasing and consumers’ demands. Finally, it submits new development suggestions and design direction for the design of household storage box in future through comprehensive investigation of consumers’ demands.
