Abstract:In this paper, we prove the fractional Hardy inequality on polarisable metric measure spaces. The integral Hardy inequality for $1<p\leq q<\infty$ is playing a key role in the proof. Moreover, we also prove the fractional Hardy-Sobolev type inequality on metric measure spaces. In addition, logarithmic Hardy-Sobolev and fractional Nash type inequalities on metric measure spaces are presented. In addition, we present applications on homogeneous groups and on the Heisenberg group.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the two-weight Hardy inequalities on metric measure space possessing polar decompositions for the case p = 1 and 1 ≤ q < ∞ . This result complements the Hardy inequalities obtained in [M. Ruzhansky and D. Verma, Hardy inequalities on metric measure spaces, Proc. Roy. Soc. A. 475 2019, 2223, Article ID 20180310] in the case 1 < p ≤ q < ∞ . The case p = 1 requires a different argument and does not follow as the limit of known inequalities for p > 1 . As a byproduct, we also obtain the best constant in the established inequality. We give examples obtaining new weighted Hardy inequalities on homogeneous Lie groups, on hyperbolic spaces and on Cartan–Hadamard manifolds for the case p = 1 and 1 ≤ q < ∞ .

Abstract:In this paper, we obtain a fractional Hardy inequality in the case $Q<sp$ on homogeneous Lie groups, and as an application we show the corresponding uncertainty principle. Also, we show a fractional Hardy-Sobolev type inequality on homogeneous Lie groups. In addition, we prove fractional logarithmic Hardy-Sobolev and fractional Nash type inequalities on homogeneous Lie groups. We note that the case $Q>sp$ was extensively studied in the literature, while here we are dealing with the complementary range $Q<sp$.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the sharp constants of quantitative Hardy and Rellich inequalities on nonreversible Finsler manifolds equipped with arbitrary measures. In particular, these inequalities can be globally refined by adding remainder terms like the Brezis–Vázquez improvement, if Finsler manifolds are of strictly negative flag curvature, vanishing S-curvature and finite uniformity constant. Furthermore, these results remain valid when Finsler metrics are reversible.
Self-improvement of fractional Hardy inequalities in metric measure spaces via hyperbolic fillings

Abstract:In this paper, we prove a self-improvement result for $(\theta,p)$-fractional Hardy inequalities, in both the exponent $1<p<\infty$ and the regularity parameter $0<\theta<1$, for bounded domains in doubling metric measure spaces. The key conceptual tool is a Caffarelli-Silvestre-type argument, which relates fractional Sobolev spaces on $Z$ to Newton-Sobolev spaces in the hyperbolic filling $\overline{X}_{\varepsilon}$ of $Z$ via trace results. Using this insight, it is shown that a fractional Hardy inequality in an open subset of $Z$ is equivalent to a classical Hardy inequality in the filling $\overline{X}_{\varepsilon}$. The main result is then obtained by applying a new weighted self-improvement result for $p$-Hardy inequalities. The exponent $p$ can be self-improved by a classical Koskela-Zhong argument, but a new theory of regularizable weights is developed to obtain the self-improvement in the regularity parameter $\theta$. This generalizes a result of Lehrbäck and Koskela on self-improvement of $d_\Omega^\beta$-weighted $p$-Hardy inequalities by allowing a much broader class of weights. Using the equivalence of fractional Hardy inequalities with Hardy inequalities in the fillings, we also give new examples of domains satisfying fractional Hardy inequalities.

Abstract:In this paper, we discuss the Hardy inequality with bilinear operators on general metric measure spaces. We give the characterization of weights for the bilinear Hardy inequality to hold on general metric measure spaces having polar decompositions. We also provide several examples of the results, finding conditions on the weights for integral Hardy inequalities on homogeneous Lie groups, as well as on hyperbolic spaces and more generally on Cartan-Hadamard manifolds.

Abstract:We prove that a pointwise fractional Hardy inequality implies a fractional Hardy inequality, defined via a Gagliardo-type seminorm. The proof consists of two main parts. The first one is to characterize the pointwise fractional Hardy inequality in terms of a fractional capacity density condition. The second part is to show the deep open-endedness or self-improvement property of the fractional capacity density, which we accomplish in the setting of a complete geodesic space equipped with a doubling measure. These results are new already in the standard Euclidean setting.

Abstract:In this paper we prove a fractional version of a Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg type interpolation inequality on hypersurfaces $M\subset\R^{n+1}$ which are boundaries of convex sets. The inequality carries a universal constant independent of $M$ and involves the fractional mean curvature of $M.$ In particular, it interpolates between the fractional Micheal-Simon Sobolev inequality recently obtained by Cabré, Cozzi, and the first author, and a new fractional Hardy inequality on $M$. Our method, when restricted to the plane case $M=\R^n$, gives a new simple proof of the fractional Hardy inequality. To obtain the fractional Hardy inequality on a hypersurface, we establish an inequality which bounds a weighted perimeter of $M$ by the standard perimeter of $M$ (modulo a universal constant), and which is valid for all convex hypersurfaces $M$.

Our work focuses on finding the best (i.e. sharp) constant $C=C(d,s,p,\alpha,\beta)$ in all cases. We also obtain weighted version of the fractional Hardy-Sobolev-Maz'ya inequality. The proofs are based on general Hardy inequalities and the non-linear ground state representation, established by Frank and Seiringer.

Abstract:We show that, when $sp>N$, the sharp Hardy constant $\mathfrak{h}_{s,p}$ of the punctured space $\mathbb R^N\setminus\{0\}$ in the Sobolev-Slobodecki\uı space provides an optimal lower bound for the Hardy constant $\mathfrak{h}_{s,p}(\Omega)$ of an open $\Omega\subsetneq \mathbb R^N$. The proof exploits the characterization of Hardy's inequality in the fractional setting in terms of positive local weak supersolutions of the relevant Euler-Lagrange equation and relies on the construction of suitable supersolutions by means of the distance function from the boundary of $\Omega$. Moreover, we compute the limit of $\mathfrak{h}_{s,p}$ as $s\nearrow 1$, as well as the limit when $p \nearrow \infty$. Finally, we apply our results to establish a lower bound for the non-local eigenvalue $\lambda_{s,p}(\Omega)$ in terms of $\mathfrak{h}_{s,p}$ when $sp>N$, which, in turn, gives an improved Cheeger inequality whose constant does not vanish as $p\nearrow \infty$.

Abstract:We establish generalised fractional boundary Hardy-type inequality, in the spirit of Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequality for different values of $s$ and $p$ on various domains in $\mathbb{R}^d, d \geq 1$. In particular, for Lipschitz bounded domains any values of $s$ and $p$ are admissible, settling all the cases in sub critical, super critical and critical regime. In this paper we have solved the open problems posed by Dyda for the critical case $sp =1$. Moreover we have proved the embeddings of $W^{s,p}_{0}(\Omega)$ in subcritical, critical and supercritical uniformly without using Dyda's decomposition. Additionally, we extend our results to include a weighted fractional boundary Hardy-type inequality for the critical case.

Abstract:In this note, we obtain a reverse version of the integral Hardy inequality on metric measure spaces. Moreover, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the weighted reverse Hardy inequality to be true. The main tool in our proof is a continuous version of the reverse Minkowski inequality.
