Abstract:Metabolism plays a crucial role in both aging and aging-related diseases, but the metabolites that serve as pivotal biomarkers of aging are not fully known. Sebastiani et al. analyze metabolites in plasma of Long Life Family Study participants to characterize metabolic markers of chronological age, aging, extreme longevity, and mortality.
