Abstract:Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is defined as persistent kidney damage or a decline in renal function lasting 3 months or more, impairing the body's ability to effectively clear waste and excess fluid from the blood. [ 1 , 2 ] With an aging population, the prevalence of CKD is increasing, posing a significant challenge to global public health. CKD progresses through various stages, with nonspecific early symptoms. [ 3 , 4 ] However, as the disease progresses, significant renal impairment can lead to multisystem complications, including cardiovascular and hematological diseases. [ 5–7 ] Therefore, exploring the factors associated with CKD can help to better understand management strategies for CKD.
