Abstract:Abstract Purpose: In this study, a non-invasive radiomics method was used to extract a large amount of valuable information from patient CT images (including pre-treatment and follow-up images), and the image features were effectively combined with treatment effect evaluation, aiming to solve the problem of lung adenocarcinoma in patients with EGFR mutation positive. The early efficacy evaluation of cancer EGFR-TKI targeted drugs provides a scientific basis for clinical drug selection and adjustment of treatment plans. Methods: It is planned to include 106 patients with EGFR-TKI targeted therapy for lung adenocarcinoma in Shaoxing People's Hospital (pathologically confirmed EGFR mutation positive), and randomly divide them into a training group and a validation group in a ratio of 7:3. The CT plain scan images of patients before and 2 months after treatment were collected, and the images were segmented by ITK-SNAP software. Perform feature screening and modeling, and draw nomograms, calibration curves, and decision curves. Results: After Lasso dimensionality reduction, three features with non-zero coefficients are extracted between groups, sumEntropy,LongRunLowGreyLevelEmphasis_angle0_offset1, LongRunLowGreyLevelEmphasis_angle0_offset4. The average area under the curve (AUC) of the logistic regression model in the training group and the validation group was 0.778 and 0.773, respectively; the Nomogram chart showed that after the three radiomics parameters were scored, the total score was 0-130, and the corresponding effective The risk was 0.1-0.9; the calibration curve showed that the predicted value and the actual clinical observation value approached a 45° slope, indicating that the model was well calibrated; while the decision curve radiomics model was used to evaluate EGFR-TKI in lung adenocarcinoma Targeted drugs have better clinical benefits when they have early efficacy. Conclusions: The radiomics model established based on the radiomics features of CT unenhanced images has good performance in evaluating the efficacy of EGFR-TKI targeted drugs in the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma, and the final Nomogram map can quantitatively evaluate the curative effect, providing individual patient information.
A retrospective study differentiating nontuberculous mycobacterial pulmonary disease from pulmonary tuberculosis on computed tomography using radiomics and machine learning algorithms

Abstract:Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of a machine learning based on computed tomography (CT) radiomics to distinguish nontuberculous mycobacterial pulmonary disease (NTM-PD) from pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB). Methods: In this retrospective analysis, medical records of 99 individuals afflicted with NTM-PD and 285 individuals with PTB in Zhejiang Chinese and Western Medicine Integrated Hospital were examined. Random numbers generated by a computer were utilized to stratify the study cohort, with 80% designated as the training cohort and 20% as the validation cohort. A total of 2153 radiomics features were extracted using Python (Pyradiomics package) to analyse the CT characteristics of the large disease areas. The identification of significant factors was conducted through the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression. The following four supervised learning classifier models were developed: random forest (RF), support vector machine (SVM), logistic regression (LR), and extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost). For assessment and comparison of the predictive performance among these models, receiver-operating characteristic (ROC) curves and the areas under the ROC curves (AUCs) were employed. Results: The Student's t-test, Levene test, and LASSO algorithm collectively selected 23 optimal features. ROC analysis was then conducted, with the respective AUC values of the XGBoost, LR, SVM, and RF models recorded to be 1, 0.9044, 0.8868, and 0.7982 in the training cohort. In the validation cohort, the respective AUC values of the XGBoost, LR, SVM, and RF models were 0.8358, 0.8085, 0.87739, and 0.7759. The DeLong test results noted the lack of remarkable variation across the models. Conclusion: The CT radiomics features can help distinguish between NTM-PD and PTB. Among the four classifiers, SVM showed a stable performance in effectively identifying these two diseases.
Machine learning and radiomics for the prediction of multidrug resistance in cavitary pulmonary tuberculosis: a multicentre study

Abstract:ObjectivesMultidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) is a major challenge to global health security. Early identification of MDR-TB patients increases the likelihood of treatment success and interrupts transmission. We aimed to develop a predictive model for MDR to cavitary pulmonary TB using CT radiomics features.MethodsThis retrospective study included 257 consecutive patients with proven active cavitary TB (training cohort: 187 patients from Beijing Chest Hospital; testing cohort: 70 patients from Infectious Disease Hospital of Heilongjiang Province). Radiomics features were extracted from the segmented cavitation. A radiomics model was constructed to predict MDR using a random forest classifier. Meaningful clinical characteristics and subjective CT findings comprised the clinical model. The radiomics and clinical models were combined to create a combined model. ROC curves were used to validate the capability of the models in the training and testing cohorts.ResultsTwenty-one radiomics features were selected as optimal predictors to build the model for predicting MDR-TB. The AUCs of the radiomics model were significantly higher than those of the clinical model in either the training cohort (0.844 versus 0.589, p < 0.05) or the testing cohort (0.829 versus 0.500, p < 0.05). The AUCs of the radiomics model were slightly lower than those of the combined model in the training cohort (0.844 versus 0.881, p > 0.05) and testing cohort (0.829 versus 0.834, p > 0.05), but there was no significant difference.ConclusionsThe radiomics model has the potential to predict MDR in cavitary TB patients and thus has the potential to be a diagnostic tool.Key Points• This is the first study to build and validate models that distinguish MDR-TB from DS-TB with clinical and radiomics features based on cavitation.• The radiomics model demonstrated good performance and might potentially aid in prior TB characterisation treatment.• This noninvasive and convenient technique can be used as a diagnosis tool into routine clinical practice.

Differentiation of Pulmonary Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissue Lymphoma and Pulmonary Adenocarcinoma by Radiomics

Abstract:Objective To differentiate between pulmonary mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma (MALT) and adenocarcinoma by radiomics, and then evaluate the diagnostic value of this novel approach. Methods We retrospectively analyzed CT images of pulmonary MALT lymphoma (n=16) and invasive pulmonary adenocarcinoma (n=41) and all these cases were confirmed by pathology in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine from June 2012 to June 2017. After we delineated the lesions as region of interest (ROI), sixty-one radiomics features were extracted from each individual's CT images by Radcloud 1.0. All cases in each group were randomly divided into training set (70％cases) and testing set(30％cases), with 7 features (Wilcoxon test) of which showed group differences and were used to train and validate a support vector machine (SVM) classifier. Results Seven of 61 radiomics features showed differences between the two groups, i.e. 10th percentile, mean, median, minimum, total energy, run length non uniformity, gray level non uniformity. Using these 7 features, the resulted SVM successfully differentiated two diseases. The SVM showed high performance with 90％precision, recall 0.89, F1-score 0.87, ROC 0.75. Conclusions Pulmonary MALT and adenocarcinoma differ in radiomics features and machine learning can utilize these features to differentiate between pulmonary MALT and adenocarcinoma. Combination of radiomics and machine learning is promising in the differential diagnosis of these two diseases.
Differentiation between immune checkpoint inhibitor‐related and radiation pneumonitis in lung cancer by CT radiomics and machine learning

Abstract:PURPOSE: Consolidation immunotherapy after completion of chemoradiotherapy has become the standard of care for unresectable locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer and can induce potentially severe and life-threatening adverse events, including both immune checkpoint inhibitor-related pneumonitis (CIP) and radiation pneumonitis (RP), which are very challenging for radiologists to diagnose. Differentiating between CIP and RP has significant implications for clinical management such as the treatments for pneumonitis and the decision to continue or restart immunotherapy. The purpose of this study is to differentiate between CIP and RP by a CT radiomics approach.METHODS: We retrospectively collected the CT images and clinical information of patients with pneumonitis who received immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) only (n = 28), radiotherapy (RT) only (n = 31), and ICI+RT (n = 14). Three kinds of radiomic features (intensity histogram, gray-level co-occurrence matrix [GLCM] based, and bag-of-words [BoW] features) were extracted from CT images, which characterize tissue texture at different scales. Classification models, including logistic regression, random forest, and linear SVM, were first developed and tested in patients who received ICI or RT only with 10-fold cross-validation and further tested in patients who received ICI+RT using clinicians' diagnosis as a reference.RESULTS: Using 10-fold cross-validation, the classification models built on the intensity histogram features, GLCM-based features, and BoW features achieved an area under curve (AUC) of 0.765, 0.848, and 0.937, respectively. The best model was then applied to the patients receiving combination treatment, achieving an AUC of 0.896.CONCLUSIONS: This study demonstrates the promising potential of radiomic analysis of CT images for differentiating between CIP and RP in lung cancer, which could be a useful tool to attribute the cause of pneumonitis in patients who receive both ICI and RT.

Abstract:Tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the major infectious diseases in the world with a high incidence rate. Drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB) is a key and difficult challenge in the prevention and treatment of TB. Early, rapid, and accurate diagnosis of DR-TB is essential for selecting appropriate and personalized treatment and is an important means of reducing disease transmission and mortality. In recent years, imaging diagnosis of DR-TB has developed rapidly, but there is a lack of consistent understanding. To this end, the Infectious Disease Imaging Group, Infectious Disease Branch, Chinese Research Hospital Association; Infectious Diseases Group of Chinese Medical Association of Radiology; Digital Health Committee of China Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology Industrialization, and other organizations, formed a group of TB experts across China. The conglomerate then considered the Chinese and international diagnosis and treatment status of DR-TB, China's clinical practice, and evidence-based medicine on the methodological requirements of guidelines and standards. After repeated discussion, the expert consensus of imaging diagnosis of DR-PB was proposed. This consensus includes clinical diagnosis and classification of DR-TB, selection of etiology and imaging examination [mainly X-ray and computed tomography (CT)], imaging manifestations, diagnosis, and differential diagnosis. This expert consensus is expected to improve the understanding of the imaging changes of DR-TB, as a starting point for timely detection of suspected DR-TB patients, and can effectively improve the efficiency of clinical diagnosis and achieve the purpose of early diagnosis and treatment of DR-TB.

Abstract:Background: Radiomics can quantify pulmonary nodule characteristics non-invasively by applying advanced imaging feature algorithms. Radiomic textural features derived from Computed Tomography (CT) imaging are broadly used to predict benign and malignant pulmonary nodules. However, few studies have reported on the radiomics-based identification of nodular Pulmonary Cryptococcosis (PC). Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic and differential diagnostic value of radiomic features extracted from CT images for nodular PC. Methods: This retrospective analysis included 44 patients with PC (29 males, 15 females), 58 with Tuberculosis (TB) (39 males, 19 females), and 60 with Lung Cancer (LC) (20 males, 40 females) confirmed pathologically. Models 1 (PC vs. non-PC), 2 (PC vs. TB), and 3 (PC vs. LC) were established using radiomic features. Models 4 (PC vs. TB) and 5 (PC vs. LC) were established based on radiomic and CT features. Results: Five radiomic features were predictive of PC vs. non-PC model, but accuracy and Area Under the Curve (AUC) were 0.49 and 0.472, respectively. In model 2 (PC vs. TB) involving six radiomic features, the accuracy and AUC were 0.80 and 0.815, respectively. Model 3 (PC vs. LC) with six radiomic features performed well, with AUC=0.806 and an accuracy of 0.76. Between the PC and TB groups, model 4 combining radiomics, distribution, and PI, showed AUC=0.870. In differentiating PC from LC, the combination of radiomics, distribution, PI, and RBNAV achieved AUC=0.926 and an accuracy of 0.90. Conclusion: The prediction models based on radiomic features from CT images performed well in discriminating PC from TB and LC. The individualized prediction models combining radiomic and CT features achieved the best diagnostic performance.

Abstract:BACKGROUND: Pneumonia-like primary pulmonary lymphoma (PPL) was commonly misdiagnosed as infectious pneumonia, leading to delayed treatment. The purpose of this study was to establish a computed tomography (CT)-based radiomics model to differentiate pneumonia-like PPL from infectious pneumonia.METHODS: In this retrospective study, 79 patients with pneumonia-like PPL and 176 patients with infectious pneumonia from 12 medical centers were enrolled. Patients from center 1 to center 7 were assigned to the training or validation cohort, and the remaining patients from other centers were used as the external test cohort. Radiomics features were extracted from CT images. A three-step procedure was applied for radiomics feature selection and radiomics signature building, including the inter- and intra-class correlation coefficients (ICCs), a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO). Univariate and multivariate analyses were used to identify the significant clinicoradiological variables and construct a clinical factor model. Two radiologists reviewed the CT images for the external test set. Performance of the radiomics model, clinical factor model, and each radiologist were assessed by receiver operating characteristic, and area under the curve (AUC) was compared.RESULTS: A total of 144 patients (44 with pneumonia-like PPL and 100 infectious pneumonia) were in the training cohort, 38 patients (12 with pneumonia-like PPL and 26 infectious pneumonia) were in the validation cohort, and 73 patients (23 with pneumonia-like PPL and 50 infectious pneumonia) were in the external test cohort. Twenty-three radiomics features were selected to build the radiomics model, which yielded AUCs of 0.95 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.94-0.99), 0.93 (95% CI: 0.85-0.98), and 0.94 (95% CI: 0.87-0.99) in the training, validation, and external test cohort, respectively. The AUCs for the two readers and clinical factor model were 0.74 (95% CI: 0.63-0.83), 0.72 (95% CI: 0.62-0.82), and 0.73 (95% CI: 0.62-0.84) in the external test cohort, respectively. The radiomics model outperformed both the readers' interpretation and clinical factor model ( P <0.05).CONCLUSIONS: The CT-based radiomics model may provide an effective and non-invasive tool to differentiate pneumonia-like PPL from infectious pneumonia, which might provide assistance for clinicians in tailoring precise therapy.

Abstract:Background Accurate prediction of tumor microenvironment is crucial for optimizing decision making throughout cancer treatment process. Current biopsy or surgical-based approaches to assess tumor microenvironment are limited by their invasiveness and tumor heterogeneity. The present study aimed to investigate the association of computed tomography radiomics features and CD8+ lymphocyte infiltration levels for patients with non-small cell lung cancer. Materials and Methods 283 patients with CT imaging and RNA-Seq data were collected from open-source data repositories. The study included three independent cohorts of non-small cell lung cancer patients, with one serving as the training set and the other two as external test sets. 1246 CT radiomics features were extracted. Three discriminative texture features were used to train the AI model. Results The model, trained on discriminative features, achieved a mean area under the curve AUC-ROC of 0.71(±0.17 std) on the training data. The AUC-ROC of the model on the two independent test sets is 0.67 (95% CI: 51%, 80%) on TCGA and 0.64 (95% CI: 51%, 74%) on LUNG3. Conclusion CT texture features can differentiate patients with high from low CD8+ lymphocyte infiltration levels. These features can non-invasively analyze the whole tumor and aid in the identification of patients that can respond to immunotherapy.

Abstract:BACKGROUND: Until now, radiographic manifestations of multidrug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis (MDR- TB) in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) have not been reported. We conducted a study to investigate the imaging features of pulmonary computed tomography (CT) for type 2 diabetic (T2DM) patients with MDR-TB.METHODS: The clinical data and pulmonary CT findings of 39 type 2 diabetic patients with MDR-TB, 46 type 2 diabetic patients with drug-susceptible tuberculosis (DS-TB), and 72 pure drug-susceptible TB cases (without T2DM and MDR) treated at Dalian Tuberculosis Hospital from 2012 to 2015 were collected, and the clinical features and imaging differences of the three groups were compared.RESULTS: The clinical characteristics of the three groups of patients were not significantly different except with respect to age and previous treatment history. However, on imaging, the patients with MDR-TB showed consolidation in and above the pulmonary segments was significantly more extensive than that seen in the DS-TB group with or without T2DM.CONCLUSION: Consolidation in or above multiple pulmonary segments with multiple mouth-eaten cavities and bronchial damage on pulmonary CT images in type 2 diabetic patients with tuberculosis suggests the possibility of multi-drug resistance.

Abstract:Radiomics, a technology based on multimodal medical image processing and analysis, is able to extract automatically and analyze massive data from computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) via high-performance computer algorithm in order to pursue early diagnosis of disease, benign and malignant tumor discrimination, dynamic evaluation of disease treatment, and individualized precision therapy. To date, many studies demonstrate that radiomics not only has great potential in early diagnosis of lung cancer and prediction of genotype, treatment efficacy, as well as prognosis but also is based on imaging methods that are noninvasive, inexpensive, and repeatable. It does demonstrate precious values in guiding the clinical diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, especially in the personalized and precise treatments and researches of lung cancer. However, the consistency and reproducibility of radiomics and the selection of robust characteristics still warrant further researches. .
CT‐based radiomics for differentiating peripherally located pulmonary sclerosing pneumocytoma from carcinoid

Abstract:Background Pulmonary sclerosing pneumocytoma (PSP) and pulmonary carcinoid (PC) are difficult to distinguish based on conventional imaging examinations. In recent years, radiomics has been used to discriminate benign from malignant pulmonary lesions. However, the value of radiomics based on computed tomography (CT) images to differentiate PSP from PC has not been well explored. Purpose We aimed to investigate the feasibility of radiomics in the differentiation between PSP and PC. Methods Fifty‐three PSP and fifty‐five PC were retrospectively enrolled and then were randomly divided into the training and test sets. Univariate and multivariable logistic analyses were carried to select clinical predictor related to differential diagnosis of PSP and PC. A total of 1316 radiomics features were extracted from the unenhanced CT (UECT) and contrast‐enhanced CT (CECT) images, respectively. The minimum redundancy maximum relevance and the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator were used to select the most significant radiomics features to construct radiomics models. The clinical predictor and radiomics features were integrated to develop combined models. Two senior radiologists independently categorized each patient into PSP or PC group based on traditional CT method. The performances of clinical, radiomics, and combined models in differentiating PSP from PC were investigated by the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. The diagnostic performance was also compared between the combined models and radiologists. Results In regard to differentiating PSP from PC, the area under the curves (AUCs) of the clinical, radiomics, and combined models were 0.87, 0.96, and 0.99 in the training set UECT, and were 0.87, 0.97, and 0.98 in the training set CECT, respectively. The AUCs of the clinical, radiomics, and combined models were 0.84, 0.92, and 0.97 in the test set UECT, and were 0.84, 0.93, and 0.98 in the test set CECT, respectively. In regard to the differentiation between PSP and PC, the combined model was comparable to the radiomics model, but outperformed the clinical model and the two radiologists, whether in the test set UECT or CECT. Conclusions Radiomics approaches show promise in distinguishing between PSP and PC. Moreover, the integration of clinical predictor (gender) has the potential to enhance the diagnostic performance even further.

Abstract:Our study established a machine learning‐based radiomics strategy to differentiate lung adenocarcinoma from tuberculosis. We explored how including or excluding the cavity region within nodules impacts results. Predictive performance of radiomics and composite models significantly surpassed the clinical model. Segmentation of the region of interest, with or without the cavity region, likely did not significantly affect predictive ability. Background Radiomics is increasingly utilized to distinguish pulmonary nodules between lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) and tuberculosis (TB). However, it remains unclear whether different segmentation criteria, such as the inclusion or exclusion of the cavity region within nodules, affect the results. Methods A total of 525 patients from two medical centers were retrospectively enrolled. The radiomics features were extracted according to two regions of interest (ROI) segmentation criteria. Multiple logistic regression models were trained to predict the pathology: (1) The clinical model relied on clinical‐radiological semantic features; (2) The radiomics models (radiomics+ and radiomics−) utilized radiomics features from different ROIs (including or excluding cavities); (3) the composite models (composite+ and composite−) incorporated both above. Results In the testing set, the radiomics+/− models and the composite+/− models still possessed efficient prediction performance (AUC ≥ 0.94), while the AUC of the clinical model was 0.881. In the validation set, the AUC of the clinical model was only 0.717, while that of the radiomics+/− models and the composite+/− models ranged from 0.801 to 0.825. The prediction performance of all the radiomics+/− and composite+/− models were significantly superior to that of the clinical model (p 0.05). Conclusions The present study established a machine learning‐based radiomics strategy for differentiating LUAD from TB lesions. The ROI segmentation including or excluding the cavity region may exert no significant effect on the predictive ability.

Abstract:PURPOSE: The aim of this study is to create and validate a radiomics model based on CT scans, enabling the distinction between pulmonary mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma and other pulmonary lesion causes.METHODS: Patients diagnosed with primary pulmonary MALT lymphoma and lung infections at Fuzhou Pulmonary Hospital were randomly assigned to either a training group or a validation group. Meanwhile, individuals diagnosed with primary pulmonary MALT lymphoma and lung infections at Fujian Provincial Cancer Hospital were chosen as the external test group. We employed ITK-SNAP software for delineating the Region of Interest (ROI) within the images. Subsequently, we extracted radiomics features and convolutional neural networks using PyRadiomics, a component of the Onekey AI software suite. Relevant radiomic features were selected to build an intelligent diagnostic prediction model utilizing CT images, and the model's efficacy was assessed in both the validation group and the external test group.RESULTS: Leveraging radiomics, ten distinct features were carefully chosen for analysis. Subsequently, this study employed the machine learning techniques of Logistic Regression (LR), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and k-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) to construct models using these ten selected radiomics features within the training groups. Among these, SVM exhibited the highest performance, achieving an accuracy of 0.868, 0.870, and 0.90 on the training, validation, and external testing groups, respectively. For LR, the accuracy was 0.837, 0.863, and 0.90 on the training, validation, and external testing groups, respectively. For KNN, the accuracy was 0.884, 0.859, and 0.790 on the training, validation, and external testing groups, respectively.CONCLUSION: We established a noninvasive radiomics model utilizing CT imaging to diagnose pulmonary MALT lymphoma associated with pulmonary lesions. This model presents a promising adjunct tool to enhance diagnostic specificity for pulmonary MALT lymphoma, particularly in populations where pulmonary lesion changes may be attributed to other causes.

Abstract:Purpose: To develop a predictive nomogram based on computed tomography (CT) radiomics to distinguish pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) from community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). Methods: A total of 195 PTB patients and 163 CAP patients were enrolled from three hospitals. It is divided into a training cohort, a testing cohort and validation cohort. Clinical models were established by using significantly correlated clinical features. Radiomics features were screened by the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) algorithm. Radiomics scores (Radscore) were calculated from the formula of radiomics features. Clinical radiomics conjoint nomogram was established according to Radscore and clinical features, and the diagnostic performance of the model was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. Results: Two clinical features and 12 radiomic features were selected as optimal predictors for the establishment of clinical radiomics conjoint nomogram. The results showed that the predictive nomogram had an outstanding ability to discriminate between the two diseases, and the AUC of the training cohort was 0.947 (95% CI, 0.916-0.979), testing cohort was 0.888 (95% CI, 0.814-0.961) and that of the validation cohort was 0.850 (95% CI, 0.778-0.922). Decision curve analysis (DCA) indicated that the nomogram has outstanding clinical value. Conclusions: This study developed a clinical radiomics model that uses radiomics features to identify PTB from CAP. This model provides valuable guidance to clinicians in identifying PTB.

Abstract:PURPOSE:To develop CT-based radiomics models that can efficiently distinguish between multiple primary lung cancers (MPLCs) and intrapulmonary metastasis (IPMs).METHOD:This retrospective study included 127 patients with 254 lung tumors pathologically proved as MPLCs or IPMs between May 2009 and January 2020. Radiomics features of lung tumors were extracted from baseline CT scans. Particularly, we incorporated tumor-focused, refined radiomics by calculating relative radiomics differences from paired tumors of individual patients. We applied the L1-norm regularization and analysis of variance to select informative radiomics features for constructing radiomics model (RM) and refined radiomics model (RRM). The performance was assessed by the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC-ROC). The two radiomics models were compared with the clinical-CT model (CCM, including clinical and CT semantic features). We incorporated both radiomics features to construct fusion model1 (FM1). We also, build fusion model2 (FM2) by combing both radiomics, clinical and CT semantic features. The performance of the FM1 and FM2 were further compared with that of the RRM.RESULTS:On the validation set, the RM achieved an AUC of 0.857. The RRM demonstrated improved performance (validation set AUC, 0.870) than the RM, and showed significant differences compared with the CCM (validation set AUC, 0.782). Fusion models further led prediction performance (validation set AUC, FM1:0.885; FM2:0.889). There were no significant differences among the performance of the FM1, the FM2 and the RRM.CONCLUSIONS:The CT-based radiomics models presented good performance on the discrimination between MPLCs and IPMs, demonstrating the potential for early diagnosis and treatment guidance for MPLCs and IPMs.
