Abstract:We develop a biparameter theory for matrix weights and provide various biparameter matrix-weighted bounds for Journé operators as well as other central operators under the assumption of the product matrix Muckenhoupt condition. In particular, we provide a complete theory for biparameter Journé operator bounds on matrix-weighted $L^2$ spaces. We also achieve bounds in the general case of matrix-weighted $L^p$ spaces, for $1 < p < \infty$ for paraproduct-free Journé operators. Finally, we expose an open problem involving a matrix-weighted Fefferman--Stein inequality, on which our methods rely in the general setting of matrix-weighted bounds for arbitrary Journé operators and $p \neq 2.$

Weighted inequalities for multivariable dyadic paraproducs

Abstract:Using Wilson's Haar basis in $\R^n$, which is different than the usual tensor product Haar functions, we define its associated dyadic paraproduct in $\R^n$. We can then extend "trivially" Beznosova's Bellman function proof of the linear bound in $L^2(w)$ with respect to $[w]_{A_2}$ for the 1-dimensional dyadic paraproduct. Here trivial means that each piece of the argument that had a Bellman function proof has an $n$-dimensional counterpart that holds with the same Bellman function. The lemma that allows for this painless extension we call the good Bellman function Lemma. Furthermore the argument allows to obtain dimensionless bounds in the anisotropic case.

Words of analytic paraproducts on Hardy and weighted Bergman spaces

Abstract:For a fixed analytic function g on the unit disc, we consider the analytic paraproducts induced by g, which are formally defined by $T_gf(z)=\int_0^zf(\zeta)g'(\zeta)d\zeta$, $S_gf(z)=\int_0^zf'(\zeta)g(\zeta)d\zeta$, and $M_gf(z)=g(z)f(z)$. We are concerned with the study of the boundedness of operators in the algebra $\mathcal{A}_g$ generated by the above operators acting on Hardy, or standard weighted Bergman spaces on the disc. The general question is certainly very challenging, since operators in $\mathcal{A}_g$ are finite linear combinations of finite products (words) of $T_g,S_g,M_g$ which may involve a large amount of cancellations to be understood. The results in the paper "Composition of analytic paraproducts, J. Math. Pures Appl. 158 (2022) 293--319" show that boundedness of operators in a fairly large subclass of $\mathcal{A}_g$ can be characterized by one of the conditions $g\in H^\infty$, or $g^n$ belongs to $BMOA$ or the Bloch space, for some integer $n>0$. However, it is also proved that there are many operators, even single words in $\mathcal{A}_g$ whose boundedness cannot be described in terms of these conditions. The present paper provides a considerable progress in this direction. Our main result provides a complete quantitative characterization of the boundedness of an arbitrary word in $\mathcal{A}_g$ in terms of a ``fractional power'' of the symbol $g$, that only depends on the number of appearances of each of the letters $T_g,S_g,M_g$ in the given word.

Abstract:Ó. Blasco and S. Pott showed that the supremum of operator norms over $L^2$ of all bicommutators (with the same symbol) of one-parameter Haar multipliers dominates the biparameter dyadic product BMO norm of the symbol itself. In the present work we extend this result to the Bloom setting, and to any exponent $1<p<\infty$. The main tool is a new characterization in terms of paraproducts and two-weight John--Nirenberg inequalities for dyadic product BMO in the Bloom setting. We also extend our results to the whole scale of indexed spaces between little bmo and product BMO in the general multiparameter setting, with the appropriate iterated commutator in each case.

Abstract:Abstract Let A 1 and A 2 be expansive dilations, respectively, on ℝ n and ℝ m . Let A ≡ ( A 1 , A 2 ) and 𝒜 p ( A ) be the class of product Muckenhoupt weights on ℝ n × ℝ m for p ∈ (1, ∞]. When p ∈ (1, ∞) and w ∈ 𝒜 p ( A ), the authors characterize the weighted Lebesgue space L p w (ℝ n × ℝ m ) via the anisotropic Lusin‐area function associated with A . When p ∈ (0, 1], w ∈ 𝒜 ∞ ( A ), the authors introduce the weighted anisotropic product Hardy space H p w (ℝ n × ℝ m ; A ) via the anisotropic Lusin‐area function and establish its atomic decomposition. Moreover, the authors prove that finite atomic norm on a dense subspace of H p w (ℝ n ×ℝ m ; A ) is equivalent with the standard infinite atomic decomposition norm. As an application, the authors prove that if T is a sublinear operator and maps all atoms into uniformly bounded elements of a quasi‐Banach space ℬ︁, then T uniquely extends to a bounded sublinear operator from H p w (ℝ n × ℝ m ; A ) to ℬ︁. Abstract:Given a bilinear (or sub-bilinear) operator $B$, we prove restricted weighted weak type inequalities of the form $$ ||B(f_1, f_2)||_{L^{p, \infty}(w_1^{p/p_1}w_2^{p/p_2})}\lesssim ||f_1||_{L^{p_1, 1}(w_1)}||f_2||_{L^{p_2, 1}(w_2)}, $$ whenever $B(f_1, f_2)= (T_1f_1) (T_2 f_2)$ is the product of two singular integral operators satisfying Dini conditions. Additionally, we also establish, as an application, the boundedness of a certain class of bounded variation bilinear Fourier multipliers solving a question posted in [Bilinear Fourier multipliers of bounded variation; Int. Math. Res. Not. (2023), no.24, 21943--21975 by Baena-Miret, Carro, Luque and Sanchez-Pascuala].

Matrix-weighted little BMO spaces in two parameters

Abstract:In this paper we set up a theory of two-matrix weighted little BMO in two parameters. We prove that being a member of this class is equivalent to belonging uniformly in each variable to two-matrix weighted (one-parameter) BMO, a class studied extensively by J. Isralowitz, S. Pott, S. Treil and others. Using this equivalence, we deduce lower and upper bounds in terms of the two-matrix weighted little BMO norm of the symbol for the norm of commutators with Journé operators.

On a Banach algebra of entire functions with a weighted Hadamard multiplication

Abstract:New algebraic-analytic properties of a previously studied Banach algebra $\mathcal{A}({\bf{p}})$ of entire functions are established. For a given fixed sequence $(\bf{p}(n))_{n\geq 0}$ of positive real numbers, such that $\lim_{n\rightarrow \infty} {\bf{p}}(n)^{\frac{1}{n}}=\infty$, the Banach algebra $\mathcal{A}({\bf{p}})$ is the set of all entire functions $f$ such that $f(z)=\sum_{n=0}^\infty \hat{f}(n) z^n $ ($z\in \mathbb{C}$), where the sequence $(\hat{f}(n))_{n\geq 0}$ of Taylor coefficients of $f$ satisfies $\hat{f}(n)=O({\bf{p}}(n)^{-1})$ for $n\rightarrow \infty$, with pointwise addition and scalar multiplication, a weighted Hadamard multiplication $\ast$ with weight given by ${\bf{p}}$ (i.e., $(f\ast g)(z)=\sum_{n=0}^\infty {\bf{p}}(n) \hat{f}(n)\hat{g}(n)z^n$ for all $z\in \mathbb{C}$), and the norm $\|f\|=\sup_{n\geq 0} {\bf{p}}(n)|\hat{f}(n)|$. The following results are shown: The Bass and the topological stable ranks of $\mathcal{A}({\bf{p}})$ are both $1$. $\mathcal{A}({\bf{p}})$ is a Hermite ring, but not a projective-free ring. Idempotents and exponentials in $\mathcal{A}({\bf{p}})$ are described, and it is shown that every invertible element of $\mathcal{A}({\bf{p}})$ has a logarithm. A generalised necessary and sufficient `corona-type condition' on the matricial data $(A,b)$ with entries from $\mathcal{A}({\bf{p}})$ is given for the solvability of $Ax = b$ with $x$ also having entries from $\mathcal{A}({\bf{p}})$. The Krull dimension of $\mathcal{A}({\bf{p}})$ is infinite. $\mathcal{A}({\bf{p}})$ is neither Artinian nor Noetherian, but is coherent. The special linear group over $\mathcal{A}({\bf{p}})$ is generated by elementary matrices.

We show the boundedness of operator-valued commutators $[\pi_a,M_b]$ on the noncommutative $L_p(L_\infty(\mathbb{R})\otimes \mathcal{M})$ for any von Neumann algebra $\mathcal{M}$, where $\pi_a$ is the $d$-adic martingale paraproduct with symbol $a\in BMO^d(\mathbb{R})$ and $M_b$ is the noncommutative left multiplication operator with $b\in BMO^d_\mathcal{M}(\mathbb{R})$. Besides, we consider the extrapolation property of semicommutative $d$-adic martingale paraproducts in terms of the $BMO^d_\mathcal{M}(\mathbb{R})$ space.

Abstract:In this paper we recontextualize the theory of matrix weights within the setting of Banach lattices. We define an intrinsic notion of directional Banach function spaces, generalizing matrix weighted Lebesgue spaces. Moreover, we prove an extrapolation theorem for these spaces based on the boundedness of the convex-set valued maximal operator. We also provide bounds and equivalences related to the convex body sparse operator. Finally, we introduce a weak-type analogue of directional Banach function spaces. In particular, we show that the weak-type boundedness of the convex-set valued maximal operator on matrix weighted Lebesgue spaces is equivalent to the matrix Muckenhoupt condition, with equivalent constants.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce matrix weighted Bourgain-Morrey spaces and obtain two sufficient conditions for precompact sets in matrix weighted Bourgain-Morrey spaces. We prove that the dyadic average operator is bounded on some matrix weighted Bourgain-Morrey spaces. With this result, we obtain the necessity for precompact sets in some matrix weighted Bourgain-Morrey spaces.

Abstract:We prove a weighted $ L^{p} $ boundedness of Marcinkiewicz integral operators along surfaces on product domains. For various classes of surfaces, we prove the boundedness of the corresponding operators on the weighted Lebsgue space $ L^{p}(\mathbb{R}^{n}\times\mathbb{R}^{m}, \, \omega _{1}(x)dx, \, \omega_{2}(y)dy) $, provided that the weights $ \omega_{1} $ and $ \omega_{2} $ are certain radial weights and that the kernels are rough in the optimal space $ L(\log L)(\mathbb{S}^{n-1}\times\mathbb{S}^{m-1}) $. In particular, we prove the boundedness of Marcinkiewicz integral operators along surfaces determined by mappings that are more general than polynomials and convex functions. Also, in this paper we prove the weighted $ L^{p} $ boundedness of the related square and maximal functions. Our weighted $ L^{p} $ inequalities extend as well as generalize previously known $ L^{p} $ boundedness results.

Fock projections on vector-valued $L^p$-spaces with matrix weights

Abstract:In this paper, we characterize the $d\times d$ matrix weights $W$ on $\mathbb{C}^n$ such that the Fock projection $P_{\alpha}$ is bounded on the vector-valued spaces $L^p_{\alpha,W}(\mathbb{C}^n;\mathbb{C}^d)$ induced by $W$. It is proved that for $1\leq p<\infty$, the Fock projection $P_{\alpha}$ is bounded on $L^p_{\alpha,W}(\mathbb{C}^n;\mathbb{C}^d)$ if and only if $W$ satisfies a restricted $\mathbf{A}_p$-condition. In particular, when $p=1$, our result establishes a strong (1,1) type estimate for the Fock projections, which is quite different with the case of Calderón--Zygmund operators.

Abstract:In a paper published in 1981, Schönhage showed that large total matrix multiplications can be reduced to powers of partial matrix multiplication tensors, which correspond to the bilinear computation task of multiplying matrices with some of the entries fixed to be zero. It was left as an open problem to generalize the method to the case when the multiplication is also partial in the sense that only a subset of the entries need to be computed. We prove a variant of a more general case: reducing large weighted matrix multiplications to tensor powers of a partial matrix multiplication in the sense that every entry of the result is a partial version of the inner product of the corresponding row and column of the factors that would appear in the usual matrix product. The implication is that support rank upper bounds on partial matrix multiplication tensors in this general sense give upper bounds on the support rank exponent of matrix multiplication.

In the current paper, we will prove matrix weighted norm inequalities for matrix symbolled paraproducts via a general matrix weighted Carleson embedding theorem. Abstract:This article is the second one of three successive articles of the authors on the matrix-weighted Besov-type and Triebel--Lizorkin-type spaces. In this article, we obtain the sharp boundedness of almost diagonal operators on matrix-weighted Besov-type and Triebel--Lizorkin-type sequence spaces. These results not only possess broad generality but also improve several existing related results in various special cases covered by this family of spaces. This improvement depends, on the one hand, on the notion of $A_p$-dimensions of matrix weights and their properties introduced in the first article of this series and, on the other hand, on a careful direct analysis of sequences of averages avoiding maximal operators. While a recent matrix-weighted extension of the Fefferman--Stein vector-valued maximal inequality would provide an alternative route to some of our results in the restricted range of function space parameters $p,q\in(1,\infty)$, our approach covers the full scale of exponents $p\in(0,\infty)$ and $q\in(0,\infty]$ that is relevant in the theory of function spaces.

Abstract:Via the new weight function $A_{\vec p}^{\theta }(\varphi )$, the authors introduce a new class of multilinear Littlewood--Paley $g_{\lambda}^{*}$ functions and establish the boundedness on weighted Lebesgue spaces. In addition, the authors obtain the boundedness of the multilinear commutator and multilinear iterated commutator generated by the multilinear Littlewood--Paley $g_{\lambda}^{*}$ function and the new $BMO$ function on weighted Lebesgue spaces. The results in this article include the known results in \cite{XY2015,SXY2014}. When $m=1$, that is, in the case of one-linear, our conclusions are also new, further extending the results in \cite{S1961}.
