Abstract:This paper is concerned with the blowup phenomenon of stochastic parabolic equations both on bounded domain and in the whole space. We introduce a new method to study the blowup phenomenon on bounded domain. Comparing with the existing results, we delete the assumption that the solutions to stochastic heat equations are non-negative. Then the blowup phenomenon in the whole space is obtained by using the properties of heat kernel. We obtain that the solutions will blow up in finite time for nontrivial initial data.

Abstract:In this short paper, we focus on the blowup phenomenon of stochastic parabolic equations. We first discuss the probability of the event that the solutions keep positive. Then, the blowup phenomenon in the whole space is considered. The probability of the event that the solutions blow up in finite time is given. Lastly, we obtain the probability of the event that blowup time of stochastic parabolic equations large than or less than the deterministic case.

Abstract:This article is concerned with the blowup phenomenon of stochastic delayed evolution equations. We first establish the sufficient condition to ensure the existence of a unique nonnegative solution of stochastic parabolic equations. Then the problem of blow-up solutions in mean L-q-norm, q 1, in a finite time is considered. The main aim in this article is to investigate the effect of time delay and stochastic term. A new result shows that the stochastic delayed term can induce singularities.

Abstract:This paper concerns classical solutions for homogeneous Dirichlet problem of parabolic equations coupled via exponential sources involving variable exponents. We first establish blowup criteria for positive solutions. And then, for radial solutions, we obtain optimal classification for simultaneous and non-simultaneous blowup, which is represented by using the maxim a of the involved variable exponents. At last, all kinds of blowup rates are determined for both simultaneous and non-simultaneous blowup solutions.

Abstract:This paper studies blowup parabolic equations with non-homogeneous terms. It shows that if a solution (y.; y(0), g) (where y(0) and g denote the initial value and the non-homogeneous term respectively) exists over an interval [0, T], and if {y(0k)}(k=1)(infinity) and {g(k)}(k=1)(infinity) converge accordingly to y(0) and g in some suitable topologies, then there is a natural number K such that for each k >= K, the solution y(.; y(0k), g(k)) exists on the same interval [0, T]. It also presents a uniform estimate of blowup rates for solutions with respect to non-homogeneous terms in a bounded subset of a certain function space. As an application of the above-mentioned two results, it is shown that optimal controls exist for some optimal blowup time control problems. (C) 2013 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.

Abstract:We consider a nonlocal parabolic equation associated with the fractional p-laplace operator, which was studied by Gal and Warm in [On some degenerate non-local parabolic equation associated with the fractional p-Laplacian. Dyn. Partial Differ. Equ., 14(1): 47-77, 2017]. By exploiting the boundary condition and the variational structure of the equation, according to the size of the initial dada, we prove the finite time blow-up, global existence, vacuum isolating phenomenon of the solutions. Furthermore, the upper and lower bounds of the blow-up time for blow-up solutions are also studied. The results generalize the results got by Gal and Warm.

Abstract:We study the phenomenon of finite time blow-up in solutions of the homogeneous Dirichlet problem for the parabolic equation ut=div(a(x,t)|∇u|p(x)−2∇u)+b(x,t)|u|σ(x,t)−2u with variable exponents of nonlinearity p(x),σ(x,t)∈(1,∞). Two different cases are studied. In the case of semilinear equation with p(x)≡2, a(x,t)≡1, b(x,t)≥b−>0 we show that the finite time blow-up happens if the initial function is sufficiently large and either minΩσ(x,t)=σ−(t)>2 for all t>0, or σ−(t)≥2, σ−(t)↘2 as t→∞ and ∫1∞es(2−σ−(s))ds<∞. In the case of the evolution p(x)-Laplace equation with the exponents p(x), σ(x) independent of t, we prove that every solution corresponding to a sufficiently large initial function exhibits a finite time blow-up if b(x,t)≥b−>0, at(x,t)≤0, bt(x,t)≥0, minσ(x)>2 and maxp(x)≤minσ(x).

Abstract:In this paper,we consider the weak solutions of the degenerate parabolic equations coupled via nonlocal sources,subject to nonlocal boundary conditions. By using the comparison principle,the critical blow-up exponent is obtained under the help of the weighted functions and the initial data. Moreover,asymptotic behavior near blow-up time is obtained for simultaneous blow-up solutions,which extends the known results in the previous paper.

Abstract:In this paper, we study blowup properties of weak solutions in their W-1,W-infinity norm to the degenerate parabolic equation with multi-nonlinearities and gradient terms. First, we show the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions by using the priori estimate methods. Second, we obtain the global existence criteria and blowup criteria after proving some gradient estimates for different coefficients. Third, we use some Sobolev's inequalities and deal with some differential inequalities of new barrier functions to determine some upper and lower bounds of blowup time of solutions. It could be found out that the blowup or global existence phenomena depend sensitively on the relationship among the different exponents of nonlinearities, which discover a key clue to the different effect of diffusion, gradient term, source term and absorption term on the singular properties of weak solutions.

Abstract:The paper deals with blow-up phenomena for the following parabolic equations with nonlocal source and nonlinear boundary conditions. By using Sobolev inequality and some first-order differential inequalities and constructing auxiliary functions, the global existence of the solution and the upper and lower bounds of blow-up solutions of equations are obtained. Finally, two examples are given to illustrate the main results of this paper.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the N-dimensional semilinear parabolic equation $ u_t=\Delta u+e^{|\nabla u|}$, for which the spatial derivative of solutions becomes unbounded in finite (or infinite) time while the solutions themselves remain bounded. We establish estimates of blowup rate as well as lower and upper bounds for the radial solutions. We prove that in this case the blowup rate does not match the one obtained by the rescaling method.

It is shown that if $ u_0 $ decays like $ |x| ^{- \alpha }$ as $ |x| \rightarrow \infty $ in $ \Omega$ with $ 0 < \alpha < 2(1-\mu)/(p-1) $, then the solution blows up in finite time regardless of the behavior of $u_0$ outside $\Omega$. Moreover the life span of such a solution with $u_0 = \lambda \varphi$ is estimated from above for small $\lambda > 0$ in terms of p, $ \alpha $, and $ \mu $. The optimality of these results is also studied.

Abstract:This paper deals with a Cauchy problem of the parabolic equations $$\begin{aligned} u_t =\Delta u + a_{1}(x) u^{p_{1}} + b_{1}(x) v^{q_{1}},\ v_t =\Delta v + a_{2}(x) u^{p_{2}} + b_{2}(x) v^{q_{2}}, \end{aligned}$$ where the exponents $$p_{i}$$ , $$q_{i}$$ $$(i=1,2)$$ are positive constants; the coefficients $$a_{i}(x)\sim |x|^{\alpha _{i}}$$ and $$b_{i}(x)\sim |x|^{\beta _{i}}$$ as $$|x|\rightarrow +\infty $$ with the parameters $$\alpha _{i}$$ , $$\beta _{i}\in R$$ . For $$\alpha _{i}$$ , $$\beta _{i}\ge 0$$ , we determine the exponent regions where all of the solutions blow up for any nonnegative nontrivial initial data. For at least one negative parameter, we find different conditions on global existence of solutions according to different classifications of the parameters.

Abstract:We study the asymptotic behavior of the solutions to the problem \[\left\{ \begin{array}{rlll} u_t-\Delta u&=a u-b(x)u^p &\mbox{in} &(0,\infty)\times \Omega,\\ \alpha u_\nu+\beta u&=0 & \mbox{on}& (0,\infty)\times \partial \Omega,\\ u(0,.)&=u_0&\mbox{in}& \Omega, \end{array}\right. \] where $p>1$, $b(x)\geq 0$ is continuous and vanishes on the closure of a nontrivial subdomain $\Omega_0$ of $\Omega\subset R^N$. This case can be regarded as a mixture of the well-understood logistic (when b(x) > 0 always) and Malthusian (when $b(x)\equiv 0$) models and has attracted much study in recent years. It follows from recent studies that the model behaves like the logistic model if the growth rate a of the species is less than some constant a0 > 0 and it behaves differently from the logistic model once $a\geq a_0$. In this paper, we show that, when $a\geq a_0$, the model behaves like the Malthusian model on part of the domain (i.e., on $\Omega_0$ where b vanishes) and it behaves like the logistic model on the remaining part of the domain. Our study shows that the boundary blow-up problem \[ -\Delta u=au-b(x)u^p \mbox{ in} \ \Omega\setminus\overline{\Omega}_0,\ \alpha u_\nu +\beta u=0 \mbox{ on}\\partial \Omega,\ \ u=\infty \mbox{ on}\ \partial \Omega_0 \] plays a key role in understanding the dynamics of our model and that the whole theory can be described by a nice bifurcation picture involving a branch of positive solutions at "infinity."

The conditions on the existence and nonexistence of global positive solutions are given. Moreover, we give the precise blow-up rate estimate and the uniform blow-up estimate for the blow-up solution.

Abstract:This paper deals with parabolic equations with nonlocal Dirichlet boundary conditions. Critical exponent and simultaneous blow-up criteria are studied for blow-up solutions. Moreover, we determine uniform blow-up profiles and blow-up set to all kinds of simultaneous blow-up solutions. It is interesting that large weighted functions could provide sufficient help to the occurring of blow-up of solutions without conditions on initial data.

The obtained result is illustrated through an example in which a, b, c, f, g are power functions or exponential functions.

Abstract:We deal with the blowup properties of the solution to the degenerate and singular parabolic system with nonlocal source and homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. The existence of a unique classical nonnegative solution is established and the sufficient conditions for the solution that exists globally or blows up in finite time are obtained. Furthermore, under certain conditions it is proved that the blowup set of the solution is the whole domain.
