Abstract:A tumor is an accumulation in solid form of abnormal tissues named neoplasm that is categorized as a primary tumor as well as a secondary tumor. Severity prediction of brain tumor is a daunting task in the medical field and incorrect decisions during diagnosis leads to increased human fatality. Hence, it is necessary to accurately identify the severity prediction of brain tumors in humans. This research work utilizes the proposed Dense Fused Maxout Network (DFMN) for the severity prediction of tumor in the brain. The main objective of this study provide doctors with a fast and accurate way to classify and segment tumors and it will improve the diagnosis and treatment of brain tumors. Here, image pre-processing is done by a Non-Local Means (NLM) filter for denoising input images. Also, tumor region segmentation is carried out using the fusion process of Evolutionary Neural Network (E-Net) along with Recursive residual blocks and Pyramid pooling module (RP-Net). This hybrid tumor segmentation algorithm is fused by the RV coefficient. Moreover, feature extraction is carried out, followed by the classification of brain tumor and severity prediction using DFMN. This DFMN is generated by the fusion of DenseNet and Deep Maxout Network (DMN). The proposed method has less trainable parameters and has strong accuracy. Finally, the performance is evaluated by metrics, such as sensitivity, accuracy, and specificity and the proposed method has superior values of 91.3%, 92.9%, and 92.3% for sensitivity, accuracy, and specificity, respectively.
