Abstract:As sessile organisms, plants are constantly exposed to a variety of environmental stresses and have evolved adaptive mechanisms, including transcriptional reprogramming, in order to survive or acclimate under adverse conditions. Over the past several decades, a large number of gene-specific transcription factors have been identified in the transcriptional regulation of plant adaptive responses. The Mediator complex plays a key role in transducing signals from gene-specific transcription factors to the transcription machinery to activate or repress target gene expression. Since its first purification about 15 years ago, plant Mediator complex has been extensively analyzed for its composition and biological functions. Mutants of many plant Mediator subunits are not lethal but are compromised in growth, development and response to biotic and abiotic stress, underscoring a particularly important role in plant adaptive responses. Plant Mediator subunits also interact with partners other than transcription factors and components of the transcription machinery, indicating the complexity of the regulation of gene expression by plant Mediator complex. Here, we present a comprehensive discussion of recent analyses of the structure and function of plant Mediator complex, with a particular focus on its roles in plant adaptive responses to a wide spectrum of environmental stresses and associated biological processes.
Opposing Effects on Two Phases of Defense Responses from Concerted Actions of Heat Shock Cognate70 and Bonzai1 in Arabidopsis

Abstract:The plant immune system consists of multiple layers of responses targeting various phases of pathogen infection. Here, we provide evidence showing that two responses, one controlling stomatal closure and the other mediated by intracellular receptor proteins, can be regulated by the same proteins but in an antagonistic manner. The HEAT SHOCK COGNATE70 (HSC70), while previously known as a negative regulator of stomatal closure, is a positive regulator of immune responses mediated by the immune receptor protein SUPPRESSOR OF NPR1-1, CONSTITUTIVE1 (SNC1) as well as basal defense responses. In contrast to HSC70, a calcium-binding protein, BONZAI1 (BON1), promotes abscisic acid-and pathogen-triggered stomatal closure in addition to and independent of its previously known negative role in SNC1 regulation. BON1 likely regulates stomatal closure through activating SUPPESSOR OF THE G2 ALLELE OF SKP1 VARIANT B and inhibiting HSC70. New functions of BON1 and HSC70 identified in this study thus reveal opposite effects of each of them on immunity. The opposing roles of these regulators at different phases of plant immune responses exemplify the complexity in immunity regulation and suggest that immune receptors may guard positive regulators functioning at stomatal closure control.

Abstract:Salicylic acid (SA) is a plant defense signal that mediates local and systemic immune responses against pathogen invasion. However, the underlying mechanism of SA-mediated defense is very complex due to the involvement of various positive and negative regulators to fine-tune its signaling in diverse pathosystems. Upon pathogen infections, elevated level of SA promotes massive transcriptional reprogramming in which Non-expresser of PR genes 1 (NPR1) acts as a central hub and transcriptional coactivator in defense responses. Recent findings show that Enhanced Disease Susceptibility 1 (EDS1) also functions as a transcriptional coactivator and stimulates the expression of PR1 in the presence of NPR1 and SA. Furthermore, EDS1 stabilizes NPR1 protein level, while NPR1 sustains EDS1 expression during pathogenic infection. The interaction of NPR1 and EDS1 coactivators initiates transcriptional reprogramming by recruiting cyclin-dependent kinase 8 in the Mediator complex to control immune responses. In this review, we highlight the recent breakthroughs that considerably advance our understanding on how transcriptional coactivators interact with their functional partners to trigger distinct pathways to facilitate immune responses, and how SA accumulation induces dynamic changes in NPR1 structure for transcriptional reprogramming. In addition, the functions of different Mediator subunits in SA-mediated plant immunity are also discussed in light of recent discoveries. Taken together, the available evidence suggests that transcriptional coactivators are essential and potent regulators of plant defense pathways and play crucial roles in coordinating plant immune responses during plant–pathogen interactions.

Exportin-4 Coordinates Nuclear Shuttling of TOPLESS Family Transcription Corepressors to Regulate Plant Immunity.

Abstract:The regulated nucleocytoplasmic exchange of macromolecules is essential for the eukaryotic cell. However, nuclear transport pathways defined by different nuclear transport receptors (NTRs), including importins and exportins, and their significance in activating distinct stress responses are poorly understood in plants. Here, we exploited a CRISPR/Cas9-based genetic screen to search for modifiers of CONSTITUTIVE EXPRESSION OF PATHOGENESIS-RELATED GENE 5 (cpr5), an Arabidopsis thaliana nucleoporin mutant that activates autoimmune responses that partially mimic effector-triggered immunity (ETI). We identified an NTR gene, Exportin-4 (XPO4), as a genetic interactor of CPR5. The xpo4 cpr5 double mutant activates catastrophic immune responses, which leads to seedling lethality. By leveraging the newly developed proximity-labeling proteomics, we profiled XPO4 substrates and identified TOPLESS (TPL) and TPL-related (TPR) transcription corepressors as XPO4-specific cargo. TPL/TPRs target negative regulators of immunity and are redundantly required for ETI induction. We found that loss-of-XPO4 promotes the nuclear accumulation of TPL/TPRs in the presence of elevated salicylic acid (SA), which contributes to the SA-mediated defense amplification and potentiates immune induction in the cpr5 mutant. We showed that TPL and TPRs are required for the enhanced immune activation observed in xpo4 cpr5 but not for the cpr5 single-mutant phenotype, underscoring the functional interplay between XPO4 and TPL/TPRs and its importance in cpr5-dependent immune induction. We propose that XPO4 coordinates the nuclear accumulation of TPL/TPRs, which plays a role in regulating SA-mediated defense feedback to modulate immune strength downstream of CPR5 during ETI induction.
Arabidopsis WRKY38 and WRKY62 transcription factors interact with histone deacetylase 19 in basal defense.

Abstract:Arabidopsis thaliana WRKY38 and WRKY62, encoding two structurally similar type III WRKY transcription factors, are induced in a Nonexpressor of PR Gene1 (NPR1)-dependent manner by salicylic acid ( SA) or by virulent Pseudomonas syringae. Disease resistance and SA-regulated Pathogenesis-Related1 (PR1) gene expression are enhanced in the wrky38 and wrky62 single mutants and, to a greater extent, in the double mutants. Overexpression of WRKY38 or WRKY62 reduces disease resistance and PR1 expression. Thus, WRKY38 and WRKY62 function additively as negative regulators of plant basal defense. WRKY38 and WRKY62 interact with Histone Deacetylase 19 (HDA19). Expression of HDA19 is also induced by P. syringae, and the stability of its induced transcripts depends on SA and NPR1 in infected plants. Disruption of HDA19 leads to compromised resistance, whereas its overexpression results in enhanced resistance to P. syringae. Thus, HDA19 has a role opposite from those of WRKY38 and WRKY62 in basal resistance to the bacterial pathogen. Both WRKY38 and WRKY62 are transcriptional activators in plant cells, but their activation activities are abolished by overexpressed HDA19. Interaction of WRKY38 and WRKY62 with HDA19 may act to fine-tune plant basal defense responses.
Effects of mutations and constitutive overexpression of EDS1 and PAD4 on plant resistance to different types of microbial pathogens

Abstract:Arabidopsis EDS1 and PAD4 are important regulators of plant defense signaling. We have constructed transgenic lines that constitutively overexpress tandem affinity purification (TAP)-tagged EDS1 and PAD4 in the respective eds1-1 and pad4-1 mutant backgrounds. Affinity purified EDS1 complexes contained not only SAG101 as recently reported but also PAD4. The PAD4 complexes, on the other hand, contained EDS1 but not SAG101. These results support that PAD4 and SAG101 interact with EDS1 but not with each other. To determine the effects of constitutive expression of EDS1 and PAD4 on plant disease resistance, we have compared these transgenic plants with the wild type and the respective eds1-1 and pad4-1 mutant plants for responses to the hemibiotrophic bacterial pathogen Pseudomonas syringae and necrotrophic fungal pathogen Botrytis cinerea. The eds1 and pad4 mutants were highly susceptible to virulent strains of P. syringae and constitutive overexpression of EDS1 and PAD4 enhanced resistance to the bacterial pathogen in a dosage-dependent manner. Enhanced resistance to the bacterial pathogen in transgenic EDS1- and PAD4-overexpressing lines was associated with a quicker and stronger induction of salicylate-regulated PR1 after infection of the bacterial pathogen. By contrast, the eds1-1 and pad4-1 mutants were highly tolerant to B. cinerea and their constitutive overexpression restored the susceptibility of the mutants to the fungal pathogen. The negative role of EDS1 and PAD4 in plant response to the necrotrophic fungal pathogen correlated with their negative effects on induction of jasmonate-regulated PDF1.2gene expression.

Abstract:Plants use cell-surface immune receptors to recognize pathogen-specific patterns to evoke basal immunity. ENHANCED DISEASE SUSCEPTIBILITY (EDS1) is known to be crucial for plant basal immunity, whereas its activation mechanism by pattern recognition remains enigmatic. Here, we show that the fungal pattern chitin induced the plasma membrane-anchored receptor-like cytoplasmic kinase PBS1-LIKE 19 (PBL19) to undergo nuclear translocation in Arabidopsis. The palmitoylation-deficient PBL19C3A variant constantly resided in the nucleus, triggering transcriptional self-amplification mainly through WRKY8 and EDS1-dependent constitutive immunity. Unexpectedly, the metacaspase-cleaved PBL19 lacking the N-terminal nuclear localization sequence specifically interacted with and phosphorylated EDS1 in the cytoplasm. Phosphodeficient EDS1 attenuated PBL19C3A-induced constitutive immunity, while phosphomimetic EDS1 complemented the loss of PBL19 for fungal resistance. Collectively, these findings reveal a compelling model wherein the plasma membrane, nuclear and cytoplasmic pools of PBL19 temporally coordinate distinct roles of immune signal receiver, amplifier and effector to boost plant antifungal immunity via EDS1.

Abstract:Summary Plants perceive pathogens and induce robust transcriptional reprogramming to rapidly achieve immunity. The mechanisms how immune‐related genes are transcriptionally regulated remains largely unknown. Previously, the trihelix transcriptional factor ASR3 (ARABIDOPSIS SH4‐RELATED 3) was shown to negatively regulate PTI in Arabidopsis thaliana. Here, we identified another trihelix family member AITF1 (ASR3‐Interacting Transcriptional Factor 1) as an interacting protein of ASR3. AITF1 and ASR3 form heterogenous and homogenous dimers in planta. Both aitf1 and asr3 single mutants exhibited increased resistance against the bacterial pathogen Pseudomonas syringae but the double mutant showed reduced resistance, suggesting AITF1 and ASR3 interdependently regulate immune gene expression and resistance. Overexpression of AITF1 triggered autoimmunity dependently on its DNA binding ability and the presence of ASR3. Notably, autoimmunity caused by overexpression of AITF1 was dependent on a TIR‐NBS‐LRR (TNL) protein SAA1 (Suppressor of AITF1‐induced autoimmunity 1), as well as EDS1, the central regulator of TNL signaling. AITF1 and ASR3 directly activated SAA1 expression through binding to the GT‐boxes in SAA1 promoter. Collectively, our results revealed a mechanism of trihelix transcription factors complex in regulating immune gene expression, thereby modulating plant disease resistance and autoimmunity.

Abstract:Jasmonate (JA) and ethylene (ET) are two major plant hormones that synergistically regulate plant development and tolerance to necrotrophic fungi. Both JA and ET induce the expression of several pathogenesis-related genes, while blocking either signaling pathway abolishes the induction of these genes by JA and ET alone or in combination. However, the molecular basis of JA/ET coaction and signaling interdependency is largely unknown. Here, we report that two Arabidopsis ET-stabilized transcription factors (EIN3 and EIL1) integrate ET and JA signaling in the regulation of gene expression, root development, and necrotrophic pathogen defense. Further studies reveal that JA enhances the transcriptional activity of EIN3/EIL1 by removal of JA-Zim domain (JAZ) proteins, which physically interact with and repress EIN3/EIL1. In addition, we find that JAZ proteins recruit an RPD3-type histone deacetylase (HDA6) as a corepressor that modulates histone acetylation, represses EIN3/EIL1-dependent transcription, and inhibits JA signaling. Our studies identify EIN3/EIL1 as a key integration node whose activation requires both JA and ET signaling, and illustrate transcriptional derepression as a common mechanism to integrate diverse signaling pathways in the regulation of plant development and defense.
Transcription Factor Interaction with COMPASS-like Complex Regulates Histone H3K4 Trimethylation for Specific Gene Expression in Plants

Abstract:Accumulation of unfolded or misfolded proteins causes endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, which activates a set of ER membrane-associated transcription factors for protein homeostasis regulation. Previous genome-wide chromatin immunoprecipitation analysis shows a strong correlation between histone H3K4 trimethylation (H3K4me3) and active gene expression. However, how the histone modification complex is specifically and timely recruited to the active promoters remains unknown. Using ER stress responsive gene expression as a model system, we demonstrate that sequence-specific transcription factors interact with COMPASS-like components and affect H3K4me3 formation at specific target sites in Arabidopsis. Gene profiling analysis reveals that membrane-associated basic leucine zipper (bZIP) transcription factors bZIP28 and bZIP60 regulate most of the ER stress responsive genes. Loss-of-functions of bZIP28 and bZIP60 impair the occupancy of H3K4me3 on promoter regions of ER stress responsive genes. Further, in vitro pull-down assays and in vivo bimolecular fluorescence complementation (BiFC) experiments show that bZIP28 and bZIP60 interact with Ash2 and WDR5a, both of which are core COMPASS-like components. Knockdown expression of either Ash2 or WDR5a decreased the expression of several ER stress responsive genes. The COMPASS-like complex is known to interact with histone methyltransferase to facilitate preinitiation complex (PIC) assembly and generate H3K4me3 during transcription elongation. Thus, our data shows that the ER stress stimulus causes the formation of PIC and deposition of H3K4me3 mark at specific promoters through the interaction between transcription factor and COMPASS-like components.
Physical and functional interactions between pathogen-induced Arabidopsis WRKY18, WRKY40, and WRKY60 transcription factors.

Abstract:Limited information is available about the roles of specific WRKY transcription factors in plant defense. We report physical and functional interactions between structurally related and pathogen-induced WRKY18, WRKY40, and WRKY60 transcription factors in Arabidopsis thaliana. The three WRKY proteins formed both homocomplexes and heterocomplexes and DNA binding activities were significantly shifted depending on which WRKY proteins were present in these complexes. Single WRKY mutants exhibited no or small alterations in response to the hemibiotrophic bacterial pathogen Pseudomonas syringae and the necrotrophic fungal pathogen Botrytis cinerea. However, wrky18 wrky40 and wrky18 wrky60 double mutants and the wrky18 wrky40 wrky60 triple mutant were substantially more resistant to P. syringae but more susceptible to B. cinerea than wild-type plants. Thus, the three WRKY proteins have partially redundant roles in plant responses to the two distinct types of pathogens, with WRKY18 playing a more important role than the other two. The contrasting responses of these WRKY mutants to the two pathogens correlated with opposite effects on pathogen-induced expression of salicylic acid-regulated PATHOGENESIS-RELATED1 and jasmonic acid-regulated PDF1.2. While constitutive expression of WRKY18 enhanced resistance to P. syringae, its coexpression with WRKY40 or WRKY60 made plants more susceptible to both P. syringae and B. cinerea. These results indicate that the three WRKY proteins interact both physically and functionally in a complex pattern of overlapping, antagonistic, and distinct roles in plant responses to different types of microbial pathogens.

Abstract:Background: The NAC transcription factor family, which is recognized as one of the largest plant-specific transcription factor families, comprises numerous members that are widely distributed among various higher plant species and play crucial regulatory roles in plant immunity. Results: In this paper, we provided a detailed summary of the roles that NAC transcription factors play in plant immunity via plant hormone pathways and reactive oxygen species pathways. In addition, we conducted in-depth investigations into the interactions between NAC transcription factors and pathogen effectors to summarize the mechanism through which they regulate the expression of defense-related genes and ultimately affect plant disease resistance. Conclusions: This paper presented a comprehensive overview of the crucial roles that NAC transcription factors play in regulating plant disease resistance through their involvement in diverse signaling pathways, acting as either positive or negative regulators, and thus provided references for further research on NAC transcription factors.
Conserved transcription factors NRZ1 and NRM1 regulate NLR receptor–mediated immunity

Abstract:Plant innate immunity mediated by the nucleotide-binding leucine-rich repeat (NLR) class of immune receptors plays an important role in defense against various pathogens. Although key biochemical events involving NLR activation and signaling have been recently uncovered, we know very little about the transcriptional regulation of NLRs and their downstream signaling components. Here, we show that the Toll-Interleukin 1 receptor homology domain containing NLR (TNL) gene N (Necrosis), which confers resistance to Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV), is transcriptionally induced upon immune activation. We identified two conserved transcription factors, N required C3H Zinc finger 1 (NRZ1) and N required MYB-like transcription factor 1 (NRM1), that activate N in an immune responsive manner. Genetic analyses indicated that NRZ1 and NRM1 positively regulate coiled-coil domain-containing NLR (CNL)- and TNL-mediated immunity and function independently of the signaling component Enhanced Disease Susceptibility 1 (EDS1). Furthermore, NRZ1 functions upstream of NRM1 in cell death signaling, and their gene overexpression induces ectopic cell death and expression of NLR signaling components. Our findings uncovered a conserved transcriptional regulatory network that is central to NLR-mediated cell death and immune signaling in plants.

Abstract:Emerging evidence indicates a close connection between cell-cycle progression and the plant immune responses. In Arabidopsis, MODIFIER OF snc1-1 (MOS1) modulates a number of processes including endoreduplication and plant disease resistance, but the molecular mechanism underlying this modulation was not fully understood. Here, we provide biochemical and genetic evidence that TEOSINTE BRANCHED 1, CYCLOIDEA, PCF1 (TCP) transcription factors TCP15 and its homologues are mediators of MOS1 function in the immune response and are likely to be also involved in cell-cycle control. MOS1 and TCP proteins have a direct physical interaction. They both bind to the promoter of the immune receptor gene SUPRESSOR OF npr1-1, CONSTITUTIVE 1 (SNC1) and modulate its expression and consequently immune responses. MOS1 and TCP15 both affect the expression of cell-cycle genes D-type CYCLIN 3;1 (CYCD3;1), which may mediate the MOS1 function in cell-cycle modulation. In addition, CYCD3;1 overexpression upregulates immune responses, and SNC1 expression. This study investigated and revealed a role for MOS1 in transcriptional regulation through TCP15 and its homologues. This finding suggests the coordination of cell-cycle progression and plant immune responses at multiple levels.
The antagonistic role of an E3 ligase pair in regulating plant NLR-mediated autoimmunity and fungal pathogen resistance

Abstract:Plant immune homeostasis is achieved through a balanced immune activation and suppression, enabling effective defense while averting autoimmunity. In Arabidopsis, disrupting a mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase cascade triggers nucleotide-binding leucine-rich-repeat (NLR) SUPPRESSOR OF mkk1/2 2 (SUMM2)-mediated autoimmunity. Through an RNAi screen, we identify PUB5, a putative plant U-box E3 ligase, as a critical regulator of SUMM2-mediated autoimmunity. In contrast to typical E3 ligases, PUB5 stabilizes CRCK3, a calmodulin-binding receptor-like cytoplasmic kinase involved in SUMM2 activation. A closely related E3 ligase, PUB44, functions oppositely with PUB5 to degrade CRCK3 through monoubiquitylation and internalization. Furthermore, CRCK3, highly expressed in roots and conserved across plant species, confers resistance to Fusarium oxysporum, a devastating soil-borne fungal pathogen, in both Arabidopsis and cotton. These findings demonstrate the antagonistic role of an E3 ligase pair in fine-tuning kinase proteostasis for the regulation of NLR-mediated autoimmunity and highlight the function of autoimmune activators in governing plant root immunity against fungal pathogens.
The BZR1-EDS1 module regulates plant growth-defense coordination

Abstract:Plants have developed sophisticated strategies to coordinate growth and immunity, but our understanding of the underlying mechanism remains limited. In this study, we identified a novel molecular module that regulates plant growth and defense in both compatible and incompatible infections. This module consisted of BZR1, a key transcription factor in brassinosteroid (BR) signaling, and EDS1, an essential positive regulator of plant innate immunity. We found that EDS1 interacts with BZR1 and suppresses its transcriptional activities. Consistently, upregulation of EDS1 function by a virulent Pseudomonas syringae strain or salicylic acid treatment inhibited BZR1-regulated expression of BR-responsive genes and BR-promoted growth. Furthermore, we showed that the cytoplasmic fraction of BZR1 positively regulates effector-triggered immunity (ETI) controlled by the TIR-NB-LRR protein RPS4, which is attenuated by BZR1's nuclear translocation. Mechanistically, cytoplasmic BZR1 facilitated AvrRps4-triggered dissociation of EDS1 and RPS4 by binding to EDS1, thus leading to efficient activation of RPS4-controlled ETI. Notably, transgenic expression of a mutant BZR1 that accumulates exclusively in the cytoplasm improved pathogen resistance without compromising plant growth. Collectively, these results shed new light on plant growth-defense coordination and reveal a previously unknown function for the cytoplasmic fraction of BZR1. The BZR1-EDS1 module may be harnessed for the simultaneous improvement of crop productivity and pathogen resistance.

Abstract:Excessive activation of effector-triggered immunity (ETI) in plants inhibits plant growth and activates cell death. ETI mediated by intracellular Toll/Interleukin-1 receptor/Resistance protein (TIR) nucleotide-binding leucine-rich-repeat receptors (NLRs) involves two partially redundant signalling nodes in Arabidopsis, EDS1-PAD4-ADR1 and EDS1-SAG101-NRG1. Genetic and transcriptomic analyses show that EDS1-PAD4-ADR1 primarily enhances the immune component abundance and is critical for limiting pathogen growth, whereas EDS1-SAG101-NRG1 mainly activates the hypersensitive cell death response (HR) but is dispensable for immune priming. This study enhances our understanding of the distinct contributions of these two signalling modules to ETI and suggests potential strategies for improving disease resistance in crops without compromising yield.

Abstract:The NAC (NAM, ATAF and CUC) family is one of the largest plant-specific transcription factor (TF) families. Members of this family are implicated in plant growth, development and stress responses. Recent functional studies demonstrate that a number of NAC TFs function as positive or negative regulators of plant immunity to biotrophic, hemibiotrophic or necotrophic pathogens, as modulators of the hypersensitive responses and stomatal immunity or as virulence targets of pathogen effectors. They affect plant immunity through their regulatory impact on signaling of plant hormones, which in turn are key players in plant immune responses. This review summarizes current knowledge and recent progress in our understanding of the biological functions of NAC TFs in plant immunity and discusses perspectives and directions for further study to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of NAC TF functions in immunity and potential application in improvement of crop disease resistance.

Abstract:As sessile organisms, plants are constantly exposed to a variety of environmental stresses and have evolved adaptive mechanisms, including transcriptional reprogramming, in order to survive or acclimate under adverse conditions. Over the past several decades, a large number of gene-specific transcription factors have been identified in the transcriptional regulation of plant adaptive responses. The Mediator complex plays a key role in transducing signals from gene-specific transcription factors to the transcription machinery to activate or repress target gene expression. Since its first purification about 15 years ago, plant Mediator complex has been extensively analyzed for its composition and biological functions. Mutants of many plant Mediator subunits are not lethal but are compromised in growth, development and response to biotic and abiotic stress, underscoring a particularly important role in plant adaptive responses. Plant Mediator subunits also interact with partners other than transcription factors and components of the transcription machinery, indicating the complexity of the regulation of gene expression by plant Mediator complex. Here, we present a comprehensive discussion of recent analyses of the structure and function of plant Mediator complex, with a particular focus on its roles in plant adaptive responses to a wide spectrum of environmental stresses and associated biological processes.

Abstract:In plants, pathogen effector-triggered immunity (ETI) often leads to programmed cell death, which is restricted by NPR1, an activator of systemic acquired resistance. However, the biochemical activities of NPR1 enabling it to promote defense and restrict cell death remain unclear. Here we show that NPR1 promotes cell survival by targeting substrates for ubiquitination and degradation through formation of salicylic acid-induced NPR1 condensates (SINCs). SINCs are enriched with stress response proteins, including nucleotide-binding leucine-rich repeat immune receptors, oxidative and DNA damage response proteins, and protein quality control machineries. Transition of NPR1 into condensates is required for formation of the NPR1-Cullin 3 E3 ligase complex to ubiquitinate SINC-localized substrates, such as EDS1 and specific WRKY transcription factors, and promote cell survival during ETI. Our analysis of SINCs suggests that NPR1 is centrally integrated into the cell death or survival decisions in plant immunity by modulating multiple stress-responsive processes in this quasi-organelle.Copyright © 2020 Elsevier Inc.
