What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The paper aims to address the habitat adaptability and landscape connectivity of leopards (i.e., North China leopards) in northern China. Specifically, the research objectives are to map the current suitable habitats for leopards in the context of frequent human activities and to assess the connectivity between core habitats to guide future conservation planning. ### Main Objectives 1. **Habitat Suitability Analysis**: - Identify key environmental factors affecting leopard habitat suitability. - Map the distribution of suitable habitats for leopards. 2. **Landscape Connectivity Analysis**: - Analyze potential corridors between different core habitats. - Identify key bottleneck areas (i.e., "bottleneck points") in these corridors to guide future conservation measures. Through these analyses, researchers hope to provide scientific basis and support for the long-term survival of North China leopards in human-dominated landscapes.
