Abstract:Intraocular inflammatory diseases are relatively rare, involving predominantly younger patients and are usually characterized by rapid progression. Consequently, effective management of uveitis requires prompt diagnosis and initiation of the correct treatment regimen without delay, an occasionally challenging task for the non‐specialist ophthalmologist. Despite the frequent overlap of clinical features in uveitis patients, certain disease characteristics should be recognized to facilitate efficacy and avoidance of pitfalls. We provide a survival guide of 10 crucial key points, essential to ensure the optimum outcome and safe management in inflammatory conditions.
