Abstract:There is a lack of relevant studies to grade the evidence on the risk factors of chronic pain after total knee arthroplasty (TKA), and only quantitative methods are used for systematic evaluation. The review aimed to systematically identify risk factors of chronic postoperative pain following TKA and to evaluate the strength of the evidence underlying these correlations.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The paper attempts to address the issue of systematically identifying risk factors for chronic postoperative pain following total knee arthroplasty (TKA) and assessing the strength of evidence for these risk factors. Specifically, the study aims to: 1. Systematically identify risk factors for chronic pain after total knee arthroplasty. 2. Assess the strength of evidence supporting the association of these risk factors with chronic postoperative pain. Through this study, the authors hope to provide important information for surgeons and patients regarding the risk factors that need attention in future TKA pain management research, especially those factors that are controversial or have weak associations. Additionally, the study emphasizes the need for further high-quality research to validate these factors, in order to provide clinicians with critical knowledge about high-risk patients and their clinical characteristics, thereby formulating effective preventive measures to reduce postoperative pain after TKA.
