Abstract:For a non-associative algebra $A$ with a derivation $d$, its derived algebra $A^{(d)}$ is the same space equipped with new operations $a\succ b = d(a)b$, $a\prec b = ad(b)$, $a,b\in A$. Given a variety ${\rm Var}$ of algebras, its derived variety is generated by all derived algebras $A^{(d)}$ for all $A$ in ${\rm Var}$ and for all derivations $d$ of $A$. The same terminology is applied to binary operads governing varieties of non-associative algebras. For example, the operad of Novikov algebras is the derived one for the operad of (associative) commutative algebras. We state a sufficient condition for every algebra from a derived variety to be embeddable into an appropriate differential algebra of the corresponding variety. We also find that for ${\rm Var} = {\rm Zinb}$, the variety of Zinbiel algebras, there exist algebras from the derived variety (which coincides with the class of pre-Novikov algebras) that cannot be embedded into a Zinbiel algebra with a derivation.

Quasi-Centroids and Quasi-Derivations of low-dimensional Zinbiel algebras

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the concepts of quasi-centroid and quasi-derivation for Zinbiel algebras. Utilizing the classification results of Zinbiel algebras established previously, we describe the quasi-centroids and quasi-derivations of low-dimensional Zinbiel algebras. Additionally, we explore certain properties of quasi-centroids in the context of Zinbiel algebras and employ these properties to classify algebras with so-called small quasi-centroids. This description of quasi-derivations allows us to identify a significant subclass of Zinbiel algebras characterized as quasi-characteristically nilpotent.

Abstract:Pre-Novikov algebras and quasi-Frobenius Novikov algebras naturally appear in the theory of Novikov bialgebras. In this paper, we show that there is a natural pre-Novikov algebra structure associated to a quasi-Frobenius Novikov algebra. Then we introduce the definition of double constructions of quasi-Frobenius Novikov algebras associated to two pre-Novikov algebras and show that it is characterized by a pre-Novikov bialgebra. We also introduce the notion of pre-Novikov Yang-Baxter equation, whose symmetric solutions can produce pre-Novikov bialgebras. Moreover, the operator forms of pre-Novikov Yang-Baxter equation are also investigated.

Abstract:In his thesis, N. Durov develops a theory of algebraic geometry in which schemes are locally determined by commutative algebraic monads. In this setting, one is able to construct the Arakelov geometric compactification of the spectrum of the ring of integers in a purely algebraic fashion. This object arises as the limit of a certain projective system of generalized schemes. We study the constituents of this projective system, and compute their algebraic K-theory.

Abstract:We prove that a variety of Novikov algebras has a distributive lattice of subvarieties if and only if the lattice of its subvarieties defined by identities of degree three is distributive, thus answering, in the case of Novikov algebras, a question of Bokut from about fifty years ago. As a byproduct, we classify all Koszul operads with one binary generator of which the Novikov operad is a quotient.

Abstract:We introduce the notion of double Courant-Dorfman algebra and prove that it satisfies the so-called Kontsevich-Rosenberg principle, that is, a double Courant-Dorfman algebra induces Roytenberg's Courant-Dorfman algebras on the affine schemes parametrizing finite-dimensional representations of a noncommutative algebra. The main example is given by the direct sum of double derivations and noncommutative differential 1-forms, possibly twisted by a closed Karoubi-de Rham 3-form. To show that this basic example satisfies the required axioms, we first prove a variant of the Cartan identity $[L_X,L_Y]=L_{[X,Y]}$ for double derivations and Van den Bergh's double Schouten-Nijenhuis bracket. This new identity, together with noncommutative versions of the other Cartan identities already proved by Crawley-Boevey-Etingof-Ginzburg and Van den Bergh, establish the differential calculus on noncommutative differential forms and double derivations and should be of independent interest. Motivated by applications in the theory of noncommutative Hamiltonian PDEs, we also prove a one-to-one correspondence between double Courant-Dorfman algebras and double Poisson vertex algebras, introduced by De Sole-Kac-Valeri, that are freely generated in degrees 0 and 1.

Abstract:In this paper, we develop the bialgebra theory for Novikov-Poisson algebras and establish the equivalence between matched pairs, Manin triples and Novikov-Poisson bialgebras. We study coboundary Novikov-Poisson bialgebras which leads to the introduction of the Novikov-Poisson Yang-Baxter equation (NPYBE). A skew-symmetric solution of the NPYBE naturally gives a coboundary Novikov-Poisson bialgebra. Moreover, O -operators and related algebras are considered.

Abstract:The relative Novikov conjecture states that the relative higher signatures of manifolds with boundary are invariant under orientation-preserving homotopy equivalences of pairs. The relative Baum–Connes assembly encodes information about the relative higher index of elliptic operators on manifolds with boundary. In this paper, we study the relative Baum–Connes assembly map for any pair of groups and apply it to solve the relative Novikov conjecture when the groups satisfy certain geometric conditions.

Abstract:Throughout the current paper, we extend the study of Zinbiel algebras to Zinbiel superalgebras. In particular, we show that all the Zinbiel superalgebras over an arbitrary field are nilpotent in the same way as occurs for Zinbiel algebras. Moreover and since the most important cases of nilpotent algebras or superalgebras are those with maximal nilpotency index, we study the complex null-filiform Zinbiel superalgebra, i.e. the only one single generated, proving that is unique up to isomorphism. After that, we characterise the naturally graded filiform ones and obtain low-dimensional classifications.

Abstract:Several kinds of quotient triangulated categories arising naturally in representations of algebras are studied; their relations with the stable categories of Frobenius exact categories are investigated; the derived categories of Gorenstein algebras are explicitly computed inside the stable categories of the graded module categories of the corresponding trivial extension algebras; new descriptions of the singularity categories of Gorenstein algebras are obtained.

Abstract:We provide the geometric construction of a series of generalized Schur algebras of any type via Borel-Moore homologies and equivariant K-groups of generalized Steinberg varieties. As applications, we obtain a Schur algebra analogue of the local geometric Langlands correspondence of any finite type, provide an equivariant K-theoretic realization of quasi-split $\imath$quantum groups of affine type AIII, and establish a geometric Howe duality for affine ($\imath$-)quantum groups.

Abstract:Let $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{g}_{\bar 0}\oplus\mathfrak{g}_{\bar 1}$ be a basic classical Lie superalgebra over an algebraically closed field $\textbf{k}$ of characteristic $p>2$. Denote by $\mathcal{Z}$ the center of the universal enveloping algebra $U(\mathfrak{g})$. Then $\mathcal{Z}$ turns out to be finitely-generated purely-even commutative algebra without nonzero divisors. In this paper, we demonstrate that the fraction $\text{Frac}(\mathcal{Z})$ is isomorphic to $\text{Frac}(\mathfrak{Z})$ for the center $\mathfrak{Z}$ of $U(\mathfrak{g}_{\bar 0})$. Consequently, both Zassenhaus varieties for $\mathfrak{g}$ and $\mathfrak{g}_{\bar 0}$ are birationally equivalent via a subalgebra $\widetilde{mathcal{Z}}\subset\mathcal{Z}$, and $\text{Spec}(\mathcal{Z})$ is rational under the standard hypotheses.

Abstract:We consider algebras embeddable into free bicommutative algebras with respect to commutator and anti-commutator products over a field of characteristic zero. We show that every metabelian Lie algebra can be embedded into a bicommutative algebra with respect to the commutator product. Furthermore, we prove that the class of commutative algebras embeddable into bicommutative algebras with respect to the anti-commutator product forms a variety. As a consequence, we obtain that every metabelian Lie algebra can be embedded into a Novikov algebra with respect to the commutator product.

Abstract:The study of central derivations in low-dimensional algebraic structures is a crucial area of research in mathematics, with applications in understanding the internal symmetries and deformations of these structures. In this article, we investigate the central derivations of complex Zinbiel algebras of dimension $\leq 4$. Key properties of the central derivation algebras are presented, including their structures and dimensions. The results are summarized in a tabular format, providing a clear classification of decomposable and indecomposable centroids based on these derivations. Specifically, we show that the centroid of two-dimensional Zinbiel algebras is indecomposable, while in three-dimensional Zinbiel algebras, centroids such as $\A_3^3$, $\A_4^3$, $\A_6^3$, and $\A_7^3$ are decomposable. For four-dimensional Zinbiel algebras, centroids including $\A_1^4$, $\A_3^4$, $\A_5^4$, $\A_9^4$, $\A_{10}^4$, $\A_{11}^4$, and $\A_{16}^4$ are decomposable. Furthermore, the dimensions of central derivation algebras vary across different dimensions: two-dimensional Zinbiel algebras have central derivation dimensions of one, while in three-dimensional and four-dimensional cases, these dimensions range from zero to nine.

A graph theoretic model for the derived categories of gentle algebras and their homological bilinear forms

Abstract:We formulate a simple model for the bounded derived category of gentle algebras in terms of marked ribbon graphs and their walks, in order to analyze indecomposable objects, Auslander-Reiten triangles and homological bilinear forms, and to provide some relevant derived invariants in a graph theoretic setting. Among others, we exhibit the non-negativity and Dynkin type of the homological quadratic form of a gentle algebra, describe its roots as the classes of indecomposable perfect complexes in the Grothendieck group, and express its Coxeter polynomial in terms of the Avella-Alaminos Geiss invariant. We also derive some consequences for Brauer graph algebras.

A Foundation for Synthetic Algebraic Geometry

Abstract:This is a foundation for algebraic geometry, developed internal to the Zariski topos, building on the work of Kock and Blechschmidt. The Zariski topos consists of sheaves on the site opposite to the category of finitely presented algebras over a fixed ring, with the Zariski topology, i.e. generating covers are given by localization maps $A\to A_{f_1}$ for finitely many elements $f_1,\dots,f_n$ that generate the ideal $(1)=A\subseteq A$. We use homotopy type theory together with three axioms as the internal language of a (higher) Zariski topos. One of our main contributions is the use of higher types -- in the homotopical sense -- to define and reason about cohomology. Actually computing cohomology groups, seems to need a principle along the lines of our ``Zariski local choice'' axiom, which we justify as well as the other axioms using a cubical model of homotopy type theory.
