Abstract:Dear Editor, The recent surge in cases of Primary Amoebic Meningoencephalitis (PAM) in Kerala, India, exemplifies a growing public health concern that necessitates immediate international attention. Over the last two months, the region has reported four cases, including three fatalities—all in children [ Citation 1 ]. Such developments underscore the lethal potential of Naegleria fowleri , the causative agent of PAM, and the urgent need for enhanced epidemiological surveillance and public health initiatives.
