Abstract:The main goal of this work is to show that if two weighted homogeneous (but not homogeneous) function-germs $(\C^2,0)\to(\C,0)$ are bi-Lipschitz equivalent, in the sense that these function-germs can be included in a strongly bi-Lipschitz trivial family of weighted homogeneous function-germs, then they are analytically equivalent.

Abstract:In this article, we show the Hölder invariance of the Henry-Parusinski invariant. For a single germ $ f$, the Henry-Parusinski invariant of $ f $ is given in terms of the leading coefficients of the asymptotic expansion of $ f $ along the branches of the generic polar curve of $f$. As a consequence, we obtain that the classification problem of polynomial function-germs, with uniformly bounded degree, under Hölder equivalence, admits continuous moduli.

The biholomorphic invariance of essential normality on bounded symmetric domains

Abstract:This paper mainly concerns the biholomorphic invariance of $p$-essential normality of Hilbert modules on bounded symmetric domains. By establishing new integral formulas concerning rational function kernels for the Taylor functional calculus, we prove a biholomorphic invariance result related to the $p$-essential normality. Furthermore, for quotient analytic Hilbert submodules determined by analytic varieties, we develop an algebraic approach to proving that the $p$-essential normality is preserved invariant if the coordinate multipliers are replaced by arbitrary automorphism multipliers. Moreover, the Taylor spectrum of the compression tuple is calculated under a mild condition, which gives a solvability result of the corona problem for quotient submodules. As applications, we extend the recent results on the equivalence between $\infty$-essential normality and hyperrigidity.

Abstract:This paper deals with the embedding of the Sobolev spaces of fractional order into the space of Hölder continuous functions. More precisely, we show that the function $f\in H^s(\mathbb{R})$ with $\frac{1}{2}<s<1$ is Hölder continuous with the exponent $s-\frac{1}{2}$. This is a particular case of the much stronger embedding theorems (see Section 2.8.1 in \textit{H. Triebel, Interpolation Theory, Function Spaces, Differential Operators, North-Holland Pub. Co., Amsterdam, 1978.}), but here we give an elementary proof for $H^{s}(\mathbb{R})$.

Abstract:For two variable real analytic function germs we compare the blow-analytic equivalence in the sense of Kuo to other natural equivalence relations. Our main theorem states that $C^1$ equivalent germs are blow-analytically equivalent. This gives a negative answer to a conjecture of Kuo. In the proof we show that the Puiseux pairs of real Newton-Puiseux roots are preserved by the $C^1$ equivalence of function germs. The proof is achieved, being based on a combinatorial characterisation of blow-analytic equivalence, in terms of the real tree model. We also give several examples of bi-Lipschitz equivalent germs that are not blow-analytically equivalent.

Abstract:We prove that the Dirichlet problem for the complex Hessian equation has the Hölder continuous solution provided it has a subsolution with this property. Compared to the previous result of Benali-Zeriahi and Charabati-Zeriahi we remove the assumption on the finite total mass of the measure on the right hand side.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove metric analogues, in any dimension and in any co-dimension, of the famous Theorem of Mumford on smoothness of normal surfaces and the beautiful Theorem of Ramanujam that gives a topological characterization of $\mathbb{C}^2$ as an algebraic surface. For instance, we prove that a complex analytic set that is log-Lipschitz regular at 0 (i.e., a complex analytic set that has a neighbourhood of the origin which bi-log-Lipschitz homeomorphic to an Euclidean ball) must be smooth at 0. We prove even more, we prove that if a complex analytic set $X$ such that, for each $0<\alpha<1$, $(X,0)$ and $(\mathbb{R}^k,0)$ are bi-$\alpha$-Hölder homeomorphic, then $X$ must be smooth at 0. These results generalize the Lipschitz Regularity Theorem, which says that a Lipschitz regular complex analytic set must be smooth. Global versions of these results are also presented here and, in particular, we obtain a characterization of an affine linear subspace as a pure-dimensional entire complex analytic set.

Abstract:We prove that two smooth families of 2-connected domains in $\cc$ are smoothly equivalent if they are equivalent under a possibly discontinuous family of biholomorphisms. We construct, for $m \geq 3$, two smooth families of smoothly bounded $m$-connected domains in $\cc$, and for $n\geq2$, two families of strictly pseudoconvex domains in $\cc^n$, that are equivalent under discontinuous families of biholomorphisms but not under any continuous family of biholomorphisms. Finally, we give sufficient conditions for the smooth equivalence of two smooth families of domains.

Abstract:If $f:{\bf R}^d\to{\bf C}$ is bounded and $f$'s Hölder $\alpha$-modulus of continuity grows no faster than $(1+\vert x\vert)^M$ ($M\geq0$) then, for every $\epsilon>0$, there is a $\beta>0$ such that $f$'s Hölder $\beta$-modulus grows no faster than $(1+\vert x\vert)^{\epsilon}$. We use this easy fact to show that, if $\vert f\vert$ decays as fast as $(1+\vert x\vert)^{-R}$ (for $R>0$) and $f$'s $\alpha$-Hölder modulus grows no faster than $(1+\vert x\vert)^M$, then, for every $0\leq R'< R$, there is a $\beta>0$ such that $f$'s $\beta$-Hölder modulus decays as fast as $(1+\vert x\vert)^{-R'}$. We apply this to strengthen a result of Coifman and Meyer on almost-orthogonality of vaguelet families and to derive other useful facts about vaguelets and vaguelet-like functions.

Abstract:In this paper we will develop a general approach which shows that generalized 'critical relations' of families of locally defined holomorphic maps on the complex plane unfold transversally. The main idea is to define a transfer operator, which is a local analogue of the Thurston pullback operator, using holomorphic motions. Assuming a so-called lifting property is satisfied, we obtain information about the spectrum of this transfer operator and thus about transversality. An important new feature of our method is that it is not global: the maps we consider are only required to be defined and holomorphic on a neighbourhood of some finite set. We will illustrate this method by obtaining transversality for a wide class of one-parameter families of interval and circle maps, for example for maps with flat critical points, but also for maps with complex analytic extensions such as certain polynomial-like maps. As in Tsujii's approach (Tsujii M 1994 A note on Milnor and Thurston's monotonicity theoremGeometry and Analysis in Dynamical Systemvol 14 (Singapore: World Scientific) pp 60-2; Tsujii M 2000 Ergod. Theor. Dyn. Syst.20925-933), for real maps we obtain positive transversality (where > 0 holds instead of just not equal 0), and thus monotonicity of entropy for these families, and also (as an easy application) for the real quadratic family. This method additionally gives results for unimodal families of the form x -> vertical bar x vertical bar(l) vertical bar c for l > 1 not necessarily an even integer and c real.
Higher Order Bergman Functions and Explicit Construction of Moduli Space for Complete Reinhardt Domains

Abstract:In this article we introduce higher order Bergman functions for bounded complete Reinhardt domains in a variety with possibly isolated singularities. These Bergman functions are invariant under biholomorhic maps. We use Bergman functions to determine all the biholomorhic maps between two such domains. As a result, we can construct an infinite family of numerical invariants from the Bergman functions for such domains in A(n) variety {(x,y,z) is an element of C-3 : xy = z(n+1)}. These infinite family of numerical invariants are actually a complete set of invariants for either the set of all bounded strictly pseudoconvex complete Reinhardt domain in A(n) variety or the set of all bounded pseudoconvex complete Reinhardt domains with real analytic boundaries in A(n) variety. In particular the moduli space of these domains in A(n) variety is constructed explicitly as the image of this complete family of numerical invariants. It is well known that A(n) variety is the quotient of cyclic group of order n + 1 on C-2. We prove that the moduli space of bounded complete Reinhardt domains in A(n) variety coincides with the moduli space of the corresponding bounded complete Reinhardt domains in C-2. Since our complete family of numerical invariants are computable, we have solved the biholomorphically equivalent problem for large family of domainsin C-2
A~Moebius invariant space of $H$-harmonic functions on the ball

Abstract:We~describe a Dirichlet-type space of $H$-harmonic functions, i.e. functions annihilated by the hyperbolic Laplacian on~the unit ball of the real $n$-space, as~the analytic continuation (in~the spirit of Rossi and Vergne) of the corresponding weighted Bergman spaces. Characterizations in terms of derivatives are given, and the associated semi-inner product is shown to be Moebius invariant. We~also give a formula for the corresponding reproducing kernel. Our~results solve an open problem addressed by M.~Stoll in his book ``Harmonic and subharmonic function theory on the hyperbolic ball'' (Cambridge University Press, 2016).

Bi-Lipschitz equivalent cones with different degrees

Abstract:We show that for every $k\ge 3$ there exist complex algebraic cones of dimension $k$ with isolated singularities, which are bi-Lipschitz and semi-algebraically equivalent but they have different degrees. We also prove that homeomorphic projective hypersurfaces with dimension greater than 2 have the same degree. In the final part of the paper, we classify links of real cones with base $\mathbb{P}^1\times \mathbb{P}^2.$ As an application we give an example of three four dimensional real algebraic cones in $\mathbb{R}^8$ with isolated singularity which are semi-algebraically and bi-Lipschitz equivalent but they have non-homeomorphic bases.

Abstract:The strata of the moduli spaces of Abelian differentials are non-homogenous spaces carrying natural bi-algebraic structures. Partly inspired by the case of homogenous spaces carrying bi-algebraic structures (such as torii, Abelian varieties and Shimura varieties), Klingler and Lerer recently showed that any bi-algebraic curve in a stratum of the moduli space of Abelian differentials is linear provided that the so-called condition $(\star)$ is fulfilled. In this note, we construct a non-linear bi-algebraic curve, resp. surface, of Abelian differentials of genus $7$, resp. $10$.
