Abstract:Two-dimensional hybrid perovskites, with their novel functionalities and structural diversity, are a perfect platform for emerging optoelectronic devices such as photodetectors, lightemitting diodes, and solar cells. For the first time, we studied the synthesis and characterization of mixed-cation copper perovskite crystals including (Cs, caesium/MA, methyl ammonium). Interestingly, unlike mixed-cation lead perovskites, which demonstrate bimodal band gap behavior, mixed-cation copper perovskites demonstrate trimodal band gap behavior, as proven by X-Ray Diffraction and Raman spectroscopy. In comparison to all Cs perovskite, which has antiferromagnetic properties, all MA and mixed-cation perovskites demonstrate ferromagnetic behavior. According to optical measurements, mixed-cation perovskite has the lowest band gap (1.53 eV) of all MA and all Cs perovskites. In comparison to all MA and all Cs perovskites, the mixed-cation perovskite solar cell exhibits the lowest Voc losses. These findings demonstrate the importance of cation-engineering in developing innovative materials with novel properties.
