Abstract:Taking the Sewage of frozen Food of Hongyu Ltd.in Cangxi County as case,by surveying in the source of pollution and monitoring the surroundings,this paper carries on the environment impact assessment to the surface water in Diemaqiao ditch by taking the ways of single pollution index,predictly evaluates the surface water downstream of pollution outlet by combining one-dimension steady model and complete mixing model,analyzes the results of the evaluation and prediction,and proposes the corresponding countermeasure for pollution prevention and control to provide the scientific basis of the concerning macro-decision of the water environment.

Abstract:Paroxysmal pollution of water resource is a kind of chaotic accidents, and will cause urgent and serious results. Therefore, it is of realistic importance to prevent paroxysmal pollution of the water resource and set up corresponding emergency mechanism for national property and people's safety and social development. Based on the analysis of the current situation of paroxysmal pollution of water resource, in this paper, researches is carried out to establish prevention and emergency mechanism for paroxysmal pollution of water resource in our country, the three limitations in current work is pointed out, and several measures are put forward to prevent paroxysmal pollution of water resource more quickly and establish corresponding emergency mechanism, including investigation of hidden trouble, evaluation of frangibility, prediction of water quality, dynamic inspection and emergency organization of paroxysmal pollution, which can be expected to provide certain theoretical analytical foundation for increasing paroxysmal pollution of water resource and its loss.

Abstract:Contaminants from Non-point Sources(NPS) not only enter rivers,lakes,and inshore through overland flow and pollute surface water bodies but also infiltrate into the subsurface and pollute ground water.The contaminated ground water eventually flows into river,lakes,or inshore and also pollutes surface water bodies.The significance of ground water pollution prevention is thus twofold: one is to protect groundwater as drinking water sources and the other is to prevent surface water pollution.However,most studies in China so far have been focused on protecting ground water as drinking water sources.Little attention has been paid to studying how contaminants in ground water move into surface water bodies and how much they contribute to surface water pollution.In this paper,ground water contamination by nitrate from agricultural NPS is used as an example to emphasize the twofold significance of ground water pollution prevention.It is hypothesized that ground water contaminated by NPS may be a nutrient source leading to eutrophication of China's major rivers,lakes,and inshore waters.More research is needed in the areas of ground water contamination by NPS for better watershed management and more effective control of China's water pollution.

At present, many cities and towns in China have water quality problems, bringing a great impact on people's lives. Therefore, this paper studies the safety of water quality in towns and cities firstly analyses the main factors affecting the safety of drinking water quality, and then proposes some corresponding measures to solve the current situation. It is hoped that the study of this paper can bring some degree of help to China's urban water supply management.

Abstract:This paper discussed four types of organic pollutants,including organic pollutants from raw water,additives and degradation products from pipe leaching,pipe scales releasing or metabolic products from biofilm and microorganism in water,and disinfection by-products. Most current studies focused on disinfection by-products because of their high concentrations,and various organic pollutants from pipe leaching obtained a lot of research attention as well,while organic pollutants from pipe scales releasing or metabolic products from biofilm and microorganism in water were not studies enough due to the low concentration,migration,great variety and difficulties in sampling. This paper pointed out that future research should focus on investigating the identification of high toxic trace organic pollutants,the release performances of different pollutants and the qualitative or quantitative research of degradation products,and the migration and transformation of these organic pollutants.

Abstract:The ever increasing water demands arising from population and economic growth during China's industrial transition exerts significant stress on the country's limited freshwater resources. Meanwhile, widespread water pollution that occurred during the course of industrialization exacerbates the water shortages. This work presents an overview on the water shortages and water pollution in China, and analyzes the root causes of water pollution—increased pollutant discharges from industrial, municipal and agricultural sources, excessive water abstraction from the environment, and poor water resources management and enforcement of pollution control regulations. The three key drivers of long-term water quality improvement, namely, economic transformation, technological innovation, and institutional and policy reforms, are then discussed in details. The trend of China's surface water quality over the last two decades supports that China is approaching the critical point in its industrial transition where reduction of pollution and improvement of environmental quality are going to occur. Policy measures and institutional reforms are also recommended to accelerate the reversal of surface water quality in China.

Abstract:The surface water of 10 major river systems across China has been under intermediate pollution with striking eutrophication problems in major lakes (reservoirs). More data from the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China showed that underground water in 57% of monitoring sites across Chinese cities was polluted or extremely polluted. Rural water pollution, the rising number of incidents of industrial pollution, outdated sewerage systems, and the overuse of pesticides and chemical fertilizers also endanger the health of rural inhabitants in China. Nearly 0.2 billion rural residents could not use drinking water in accordance with the national standard, and there were reports of ‘cancer villages9 and food-borne diseases (cancer village refers to a village where a certain proportion of its inhabitants suffer from the same kind of cancer or where there is a hike in cancer incidence in that area). This study aims to raise awareness of the prevention and control of water pollution and to propose a set of national research and policy initiatives for the future safety of the water environment in China.

Abstract:Reclaimed water is considered to be a stable and easily accessible nontraditional water source in urban areas. Potable reuse of reclaimed water is technologically and economically feasibleꎬ making it an important approach to relieve water shortage problem and the key part of sustainable water recycling system in a city. As an unconventional water supply project with the characteristics of complex systemꎬ the core goals of potable reuse are to guarantee the security and stability of water quality and to achieve high reliability and efficiency of the system. Thereforeꎬ it is necessary to build a security guarantee system for water qualityꎬ including water safety managementꎬ health risk assessment and multiple ̄barrier system. Water safety management requires to issue the scientific criteria for water quality and wastewater treatment processesꎬ to build the hazard analysis critical control point system of wastewater treatment and potable 环境科学研究第 31 卷 reuse systemꎬ and to enhance the supervision and authentication of water safety. Health risk assessment needs a holistic and systematic long term study on chemicals risk assessment and microorganisms risk assessment. As for engineering measuresꎬ it is important to build a multiple ̄barrier system containing source controlꎬ reclaimed water treatmentꎬ environmental buffer and drinking water treatment to guarantee the water safety. Among the multiple barriersꎬ reclaimed water treatment is the core unitꎬ and reverse osmosis∕advanced oxidation and ozonation∕biological activated carbon are feasible treatment processes for potable reuse. Furthermoreꎬ a deep and long term study on emerging pollutants controlꎬ environmental storage and potable reuse mode is needed in the future.
THE POSITIVE ANALYSIS OF SANITARY MANAGEMENT TO SECOND WATER SUPPLY IN SHUNYI DISTRICT

Abstract:[Objective] To investigate the current status of sanitation management of the second water supply in Shunyi district. [Methods] 52 set equipments in 38 second water supply entities were inspected for the sanitary management and security, and the results were analyzed by statistic analysis. The sanitary status, water facility sanitary status and sanitary of water boxes from second water supply entities and theirproperty management companies were inspected. [ Results] There was no qualified check and accept information for the 38 second water supply entities. Entity which have emergency forecast accounted for 7.9%. Entity with qualified sanitation certificate accounted for 55.3%. In the second water supply regular function, rates of sterilization, regular cleanout and water quality inspection 64.3%, 50.0% and 8.0%, respectively. Qualified rates in 52 water boxes accounted for 61.2%-98.0%. [Conclusion] Preventive inspection is major problem in sanitation management for the second water supply in Shunyi district, inefficacy sanitation management to second water supply result in low rate of qualified sanitation certificate. We should improve the sanitary management for the second water supply.
Investigation on the Inverted Suction Incurred by Negative Pressure in Water Supply System and the Countermeasures

Abstract:The intermittent supply mode in water supply system will lead to negative pressure in the main pipe, and the same phenomenon also exists in long downcomers of elevated basin (reservoir). The negative pressure sucks sewage and air from the outside into the pipe, which will contaminate water and corrode the inner wall of pipe, and thus bringing serious effect on service life of the pipe. The cause of negative pressure produced in pipe is investigated, and thus the severity, catholicity and concealment of the harm to water system incurred by negative pressure is pointed out; and finally the measures for solving the negative pressure are proposed.
