What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem this paper attempts to address is: the impact of postoperative patellar tilt on functional outcomes after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) remains unclear. The study aims to analyze the relationship between postoperative patellar tilt and functional outcome scores after total knee arthroplasty. Specifically, the study focuses on the following aspects: 1. **Angle of postoperative patellar tilt**: Assess whether the angle of postoperative patellar tilt affects the patient's functional recovery. 2. **Functional outcome scores**: Evaluate the patient's functional recovery using three functional scoring systems: Knee Society Score (KSS), Short Form-36 (SF-36), and Western Ontario McMaster University Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC). 3. **Impact of different patellar tilt angles**: Divide patients into three groups (patellar tilt less than 5°, 5.1°-10°, and greater than 10°) and compare the differences in functional outcomes among the different groups. The main objective of the study is to determine whether postoperative patellar tilt affects specific functional outcome scores, particularly certain components of the KSS score.
