Abstract:Continuous advances in medical technology and breakthroughs in cancer treatments have led to unprecedented improvements in childhood cancer survival rates. 1 However, childhood cancer and its treatment have long-term adverse effects on the physical and psychological well-being of survivors. In particular, evidence suggests that the survival rate for solid tumors is lower than that for other cancers and that survivors of solid tumors, especially brain tumors, have more negative physical and psychological sequelae that seriously affect their quality of life. 2,3
