Abstract:A large part of the theory of Hardy spaces on products of Euclidean spaces has been extended to the setting of products of stratified Lie groups. This includes characterisation of Hardy spaces by square functions and by atomic decompositions, proof of the duality of Hardy spaces with BMO, and description of many interpolation spaces. Until now, however, two aspects of the classical theory have been conspicuously absent: the characterisation of Hardy spaces by singular integrals (of Christ--Geller type) or by (vertical or nontangential) maximal functions. In this paper we fill in these gaps by developing new techniques on products of stratified groups, using the ideas of Chen, Cowling, Lee, Li and Ottazzi on the Heisenberg group with flag structure.

Abstract:In this paper, the authors introduce a class of product anisotropic singular integral operators, whose kernels are adapted to the action of a pair $$\vec A$$:= (A1, A2) of expansive dilations on ℝn and ℝm, respectively. This class is a generalization of product singular integrals with convolution kernels introduced in the isotropic setting by Fefferman and Stein. The authors establish the boundedness of these operators in weighted Lebesgue and Hardy spaces with weights in product A∞ Muckenhoupt weights on ℝn × ℝm. These results are new even in the unweighted setting for product anisotropic Hardy spaces.

Abstract:Let $L_\nu = -\partial_x^2-(\nu-1)x^{-1} \partial_x$ be the Bessel operator on the half-line $X_\nu = [0,\infty)$ with measure $x^{\nu-1} \,\mathrm{d} x$. In this work we study singular integral operators associated with the Laplacian $\Delta_\nu = -\partial_u^2 + e^{2u} L_\nu$ on the product $G_\nu$ of $X_\nu$ and the real line with measure $\mathrm{d} u$. For any $\nu \geq 1$, the Laplacian $\Delta_\nu$ is left-invariant with respect to a noncommutative hypergroup structure on $G_\nu$, which can be thought of as a fractional-dimension counterpart to $ax+b$ groups. In particular, equipped with the Riemannian distance associated with $\Delta_\nu$, the metric-measure space $G_\nu$ has exponential volume growth. We prove a sharp $L^p$ spectral multiplier theorem of Mihlin--Hörmander type for $\Delta_\nu$, as well as the $L^p$-boundedness for $p \in (1,\infty)$ of the associated first-order Riesz transforms. To this purpose, we develop a Calderón--Zygmund theory à la Hebisch--Steger adapted to the nondoubling structure of $G_\nu$, and establish large-time gradient heat kernel estimates for $\Delta_\nu$. In addition, the Riesz transform bounds for $p > 2$ hinge on an operator-valued spectral multiplier theorem, which we prove in greater generality and may be of independent interest.

Maximal Singular Integral Operators Acting on Noncommutative L_p -Spaces

Abstract:In this paper, we study the boundedness theory for maximal Calderón–Zygmund operators acting on noncommutative $$L_p$$ -spaces. Our first result is a criterion for the weak type (1, 1) estimate of noncommutative maximal Calderón–Zygmund operators; as an application, we obtain the weak type (1, 1) estimates of operator-valued maximal singular integrals of convolution type under proper regularity conditions. These are the first noncommutative maximal inequalities for families of truly non-positive linear operators. For homogeneous singular integrals, the strong type (p, p) ( $$1<p<\infty $$ ) maximal estimates are shown to be true even for rough kernels. As a byproduct of the criterion, we obtain the noncommutative weak type (1, 1) estimate for Calderón–Zygmund operators with integral regularity condition that is slightly stronger than the Hörmander condition; this provides somewhat an affirmative answer to an open question in the noncommutative Calderón–Zygmund theory.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to establish a necessary and sufficient condition for the boundedness of product Calderón–Zygmund singular integral operators introduced by Journé on the product Lipschitz spaces. The key idea used in this paper is to develop the Littlewood–Paley theory for the product spaces which includes the characterization of a special product Besov space and a density argument for the product Lipschitz spaces in the weak sense.
Schatten Properties of Calderón--Zygmund Singular Integral Commutator on stratified Lie groups

Abstract:We provide full characterisation of the Schatten properties of $[M_b,T]$, the commutator of Calderón--Zygmund singular integral $T$ with symbol $b$ $(M_bf(x):=b(x)f(x))$ on stratified Lie groups $\mathbb{G}$. We show that, when $p$ is larger than the homogeneous dimension $\mathbb{Q}$ of $\mathbb{G}$, the Schatten $\mathcal{L}_p$ norm of the commutator is equivalent to the Besov semi-norm $B_{p}^{\frac{\mathbb{Q}}{p}}$ of the function $b$; but when $p\leq \mathbb{Q}$, the commutator belongs to $\mathcal{L}_p$ if and only if $b$ is a constant. For the endpoint case at the critical index $p=\mathbb{Q}$, we further show that the Schatten $\mathcal{L}_{\mathbb{Q},\infty}$ norm of the commutator is equivalent to the Sobolev norm $W^{1,\mathbb{Q}}$ of $b$. Our method at the endpoint case differs from existing methods of Fourier transforms or trace formula for Euclidean spaces or Heisenberg groups, respectively, and hence can be applied to various settings beyond.

Abstract:The Cauchy-Szegő singular integral is a fundamental tool in the study of holomorphic Hardy space. But for a kind of Siegel domains, the Cauchy-Szegő kernels are quite different from product kernels or flag kernels on the Shilov boundaries, which have the structure of nilpotent Lie groups of step two. We use the lifting method to investigate flag-like singular integrals on , which include these Cauchy-Szegő ones as a special case. The lifting group is the product of three Heisenberg groups, and naturally geometric or analytical objects on are the projection of those on . As in the flag case, we introduce various notions on adapted to geometric feature of these kernels, such as tubes, nontangential regions, tube maximal functions, Littlewood-Paley functions, tents, shards and atoms etc. They have the feature of tri-parameters, although the second step of the group is only 2-dimensional, i.e. there exists a hidden parameter. We also establish the corresponding Calderón reproducing formula, characterization of by Littlewood-Paley functions, -boundedness of tube maximal functions and flag-like singular integrals and atomic decomposition of Hardy space on .

Abstract:We give the multilinear anisotropic singular integral operators associated to the general discrete group of dilations introduced by Bownik [1], where is a real matrix with all its eigenvalues satisfying . We obtain the weak type estimate of multilinear anisotropic singular integral operators . As an application, we show the pointwise estimate of the sharp maximal operator acting on singular integral operators . The above results are the generalizations from isotropic setting to anisotropic setting.

Abstract:We continue the $U$-bound program initiated in [J. Funct. Anal. 258, 814-851 (2010)] and prove super-Poincaré inequalities for a class of subelliptic probability measures defined on Métivier groups, the main ingredient in the proof being a Hardy-type inequality. In doing so, we recover and extend some previous results from the probabilistic viewpoint.

Abstract:Let 𝒢 be a stratified Lie group and {_j}_1 ≤ j ≤ n a basis for the left-invariant vector fields of degree one on 𝒢. Let Δ = ∑_j = 1^n _j^2 be the sub-Laplacian on 𝒢 and the j^th Riesz transform on 𝒢 is defined by R_j:= _j (-Δ)^-1/2, 1 ≤ j ≤ n. In this paper we give a new version of the lower bound of the kernels of Riesz transform R_j and then establish the Bloom-type two weight estimates as well as a number of endpoint characterisations for the commutators of the Riesz transforms and BMO functions, including the Llog^+L(𝒢) to weak L^1(𝒢), H^1(𝒢) to L^1(𝒢) and L^∞(𝒢) to BMO(𝒢). Moreover, we also study the behaviour of the Riesz transform kernel on a special case of stratified Lie group: the Heisenberg group, and then we obtain the weak type (1,1) characterisations for the Riesz commutators.

Abstract:We study certain square functions on product spaces ℝ n ×ℝ m , whose integral kernels are obtained from kernels which are homogeneous in each factor ℝ n and ℝ m locally in L(log+L) away from ℝ n ×{0} and ℝ m by means of polynomial distortions in the radial variable. As a model case, we obtain that the Marcinkiewicz integral operator is bounded on L p (ℝ n ×ℝ m )(p>1) for Ω∈Llog+L(Sn−1×Sm−1) satisfying the cancellation condition.
Quantitative weighted estimates for the multilinear pseudo-differential operators in function spaces

Abstract:In this paper, the weighted estimates for multilinear pseudo-differential operators were systematically studied in rearrangement invariant Banach and quasi-Banach spaces. These spaces contain the Lebesgue space, the classical Lorentz space and Marcinkiewicz space as typical examples. More precisely, the weighted boundedness and weighted modular estimates, including the weak endpoint case, were established for multilinear pseudo-differential operators and their commutators. As applications, we show that the above results also hold for the multilinear Fourier multipliers, multilinear square functions, and a class of multilinear Calderón-Zygmund operators.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the rough singular integral operators on product Triebel-Lizorkin spaces and prove certain boundedness properties on the Triebel-Lizorkin spaces. We also use the same method to study the fractional integral operator and the Littlewood-Paley functions. The results extend some known results.
Weighted Estimates of Singular Integrals and Commutators in the Zygmund Dilation Setting

Abstract:The main purpose of this paper is to establish weighted estimates for singular integrals associated with Zygmund dilations via a discrete Littlewood--Paley theory, and then apply it to obtain the upper bound of the norm of commutators of such singular integrals with a function in the little bmo space associated with Zygmund dilations. Examples of such singular integrals associated with Zygmund dilations include a class of singular integrals studied by Ricci--Stein and Fefferman--Pipher, as well as a singular integral along a particular surface studied by Nagel--Wainger. We show that the lower bound of the norm of this commutator is not true for any singular integral in the class considered in Ricci--Stein and Fefferman--Pipher, but does in fact hold for the specific singular integral studied in Nagel--Wainger. In particular this implies that the family of singular integrals studied in these papers is not sufficiently general to contain the operator of Nagel--Wainger, which we show is of significance in this theory.

Abstract:Motivated by the recent work of Gimperlein and Goffeng on Calderón's commutator on compact Heisenberg type manifolds and the related weak Schatten class estimates, we establish the characterisation of $L^p$ boundedness for Calderon's commutator on stratified Lie groups. We further study related weak Schatten class estimates for second order commutators on two step stratified Lie groups, which include the Heisenberg groups. This latter result is obtained using double operator integral techniques which are novel in this area.

The boundedness of such operators is established on Triebel–Lizorkin spaces whenever their rough kernel functions belong to the Grafakos and Stefanov class. Abstract:We extend the estimates proved by Donnelly and Fefferman, and by Lebeau, Robbiano and Zuazua, for sums of eigenfunctions of the Laplacian (on a compact manifold) to estimates for sums of eigenfunctions of any positive and elliptic pseudo-differential operator of positive order on a compact Lie group. Our criteria are imposed in terms of the positivity of the corresponding matrix-valued symbol of the operator. As an application of these inequalities in control theory, we obtain the null-controllability for diffusion models for elliptic pseudo-differential operators on compact Lie groups.
