Abstract:We develop a new real-variable method for weighted $L^p$ estimates. The method is applied to the study of weighted $W^{1, 2}$ estimates in Lipschitz domains for weak solutions of second-order elliptic systems in divergence form with bounded measurable coefficients. It produces a necessary and sufficient condition, which depends on the weight function, for the weighted $W^{1,2}$ estimate to hold in a fixed Lipschitz domain with a given weight. Using this condition, for elliptic systems in Lipschitz domains with rapidly oscillating, periodic and VMO coefficients, we reduce the problem of weighted estimates to the case of constant coefficients.

Abstract:Under various elliptic boundary conditions, we obtain lower eigenvalue estimates for Dirac operators by using the weighted L-2-technique which has its origin in the Morrey-Kohn-Hormander theory from several complex variables. Abstract:We study a conormal boundary value problem for a class of quasilinear elliptic equations in bounded domain $\Omega$ whose coefficients can be degenerate or singular of the type $\text{dist}(x, \partial \Omega)^\alpha$, where $\partial \Omega$ is the boundary of $\Omega$ and $\alpha \in (-1, \infty)$ is a given number. We establish weighted Sobolev type estimates for weak solutions under a smallness assumption on the weighted mean oscillations of the coefficients in small balls. Our approach relies on a perturbative method and several new Lipschitz estimates for weak solutions to a class of singular-degenerate quasilinear equations.

Abstract:We obtain some weighted $L^{p}$-Sobolev estimates with gain on $p$ and the weight for solutions of the $\overline{\partial}$-equation in lineally convex domains of finite type in $\mathbb{C}^{n}$ and apply them to obtain weighted $L^{p}$-Sobolev estimates for weighted Bergman projections of convex domains of finite type for quite general weights equivalent to a power of the distance to the boundary.

Abstract:Let $\nu=(\nu_1,\ldots,\nu_n)\in (-1,\infty)^n$, $n\ge 1$, and let $\mathcal{L}_\nu$ be a self-adjoint extension of the differential operator \[ L_\nu := \sum_{i=1}^n \left[-\frac{\partial^2}{\partial x_i^2} + x_i^2 + \frac{1}{x_i^2}(\nu_i^2 - \frac{1}{4})\right] \] on $C_c^\infty(\mathbb{R}_+^n)$ as the natural domain. In this paper, we investigate the weighted estimates of singular integrals in the Laguerre setting including the maximal function, the Riesz transform and the square functions associated to the Laguerre operator $\mathcal L_\nu$. In the special case of the Riesz transform, the paper completes the description of the Riesz transform for the full range of $\nu\in (-1,\infty)^n$ which significant improves the result in [J. Funct. Anal. 244 (2007), 399--443] for $\nu_i\ge -1/2, \nu_i\notin (-1/2,1/2)$ for $i=1,\ldots, n$.

Abstract:For the purpose of proving the strong openness conjecture of multiplier ideal sheaves, Jonsson-Mustaţă posed an enhanced conjecture and proved the two-dimensional case, which says that: the Lebesgue measure of the set $\big\{c_o^F(\psi)\psi-\log|F|<\log r\big\}$ divided by $r^2$ has a uniform positive lower bound independent of $r$, for a plurisubharmonic function $\psi$ and a holomorphic function $F$ near the origin $o$. Jonsson-Mustaţă's conjecture was proved by Guan-Zhou depending on the truth of the strong openness conjecture. However, it is still a question whether one can prove Jonsson-Mustaţă's conjecture without using the strong openness property, and obtain a sharp effectiveness result for this conjecture. In this article, we use an $L^2$ method with the weight functions $\psi-\log|F|$ and firstly consider a module at at a boundary point of the sublevel sets of a plurisubharmonic function. By studying the minimal $L^{2}$ integrals on the sublevel sets of a plurisubharmonic function with respect to the module at the boundary point, we establish a concavity property of the minimal $L^{2}$ integrals. As applications, we obtain a sharp effectiveness result related to Jonsson-Mustaţă's conjecture, which completes the approach from the conjecture to the strong openness property. We also obtain a strong openness property of the module and a lower semi-continuity property with respect to the module.

Weighted norm inequalities of various square functions and Volterra integral operators on the unit ball

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate various square functions on the unit complex ball. We prove the weighted inequalities of the Lusin area integral associated with Poisson integral in terms of $A_p$ weights for all $1<p<\infty$; this gives an affirmative answer to an open question raised by Segovia and Wheeden. To that end, we establish the weighted inequalities for Littlewood-Paley type square functions. As an interesting application, we obtain the weighted inequalities of the Lusin area integral associated with Bergman gradient. In addition, we get an equivalent characterization of weighted Hardy spaces by means of the Lusin area integral in the context of holomorphic functions. We also obtain the weighted inequalities for Volterra integral operators. The key ingredients of our proof involve complex analysis, Calderón-Zygmund theory, the local mean oscillation technique and sparse domination.

Weighted Estimates of Singular Integrals and Commutators in the Zygmund Dilation Setting

Abstract:The main purpose of this paper is to establish weighted estimates for singular integrals associated with Zygmund dilations via a discrete Littlewood--Paley theory, and then apply it to obtain the upper bound of the norm of commutators of such singular integrals with a function in the little bmo space associated with Zygmund dilations. Examples of such singular integrals associated with Zygmund dilations include a class of singular integrals studied by Ricci--Stein and Fefferman--Pipher, as well as a singular integral along a particular surface studied by Nagel--Wainger. We show that the lower bound of the norm of this commutator is not true for any singular integral in the class considered in Ricci--Stein and Fefferman--Pipher, but does in fact hold for the specific singular integral studied in Nagel--Wainger. In particular this implies that the family of singular integrals studied in these papers is not sufficiently general to contain the operator of Nagel--Wainger, which we show is of significance in this theory.

Abstract:In this paper, we apply Hömander’s weighted L-method([9]) to study eigenvalues of Dirac operators of Dirac bundles over Riemannian manifolds. The conformal covariance([13]) of the classical Dirac operators played an important role in estimating eigenvalues of the classical Dirac operator on spin manifolds, see [9]-[12], [8], [5] and the references therein. Different from spinor bundles over spin manifolds, the connection of the Dirac bundle is not determined by the Levi-Civita connection of the underlying manifold. In general, we don’t have conformal covariance for Dirac operators of Dirac bundles. Bär([2]) generalized the Hijazi estimate([9]) to Dirac operators of Dirac bundles over closed manifolds. To avoid the use of conformal covariance, the modified connection is the key technique in Bär’s proof. We will consider eigenvalue bounds for Dirac operators of Dirac bundles under both local(Definitions 3.1, 3.2) and global(Definitions 3.5, 3.7) boundary conditions. Our weighted L-identity is given by Lemma 2.5 below where the boundary terms will be dealt with using the Morrey trick for the case of local boundary condition and the boundary Dirac operator for the case of global condition. By a rescaling argument, we also obtain lower bounds in terms of the volume of the underlying manifolds where the Li-Zhu inequality ([17]) is the fundamental tool. Recently, Chang, Chen and Wu([4]) also study eigenvalue estimates in CR geometry by establishing weighted Rayleigh formula, their method is closely related to this paper.

Abstract:We establish some sharp affine weighted L 2 Sobolev inequalities on the upper half space, which involves a divergent operator with degeneracy on the boundary. Moreover, for some certain exponents cases, we also characterize the extremal functions and best constants. Our approach only relies on the L 2 structure of gradient norm, affine invariance and a class of weighted L 2 Sobolev inequality on the upper half space. This is a simple approach which does not depend on the geometric structure of Euclidean space such as Brunn–Minkowski theory on convex geometry.

Abstract:Let $S_{\alpha }$ be the multilinear square function defined on the cone with aperture $\alpha \ge 1$. In this paper, we investigate several kinds of weighted norm inequalities for $S_{\alpha }$. We first obtain a sharp weighted estimate in terms of aperture $\alpha $ and $\vec {w} \in A_{\vec {p}}$. By means of some pointwise estimates, we also establish two-weight inequalities including bump and entropy bump estimates, and Fefferman–Stein inequalities with arbitrary weights. Beyond that, we consider the mixed weak type estimates corresponding Sawyer's conjecture, for which a Coifman–Fefferman inequality with the precise $A_{\infty }$ norm is proved. Finally, we present the local decay estimates using the extrapolation techniques and dyadic analysis respectively. All the conclusions aforementioned hold for the Littlewood–Paley $g^*_{\lambda }$ function. Some results are new even in the linear case.

Abstract:Weighted norm estimates and representation formulas are proved for non-homogeneous singular integrals with no regularity condition on the kernel and only an L log L integrability condition. The representation formulas involve averages over a star-shaped set naturally associated with the kernel. The proof of the norm estimates is based on the representation formulas, some new variations of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function, and weighted Littlewood-Paley theory.

Abstract:We present the sharp characterization of the behavior at the isolated singularities of positive solutions of some equations on singular manifolds with conical metrics. It is seen that the equations on singular manifolds with conical metrics are equivalent to weighted elliptic equations in B\{0}, where B subset of R-N is the unit ball. The weights can be singular at x = 0. We present the sharp asymptotic behavior of positive solutions of the weighted elliptic equations at x = 0 and establish expansions of these solutions up to arbitrary orders. Asymptotic behavior at the isolated singularitie of positive solutions of elliptic equations without weights has been studied by many authors. We will obtain new results on the asymptotic behavior at the isolated singularities even for positive solutions of equations without weights in the subcritical case.

Abstract:In this paper we address the problem of estimating the operator norm of the embeddings between multidimensional weighted Paley-Wiener spaces. These can be equivalently thought as Fourier uncertainty principles for bandlimited functions. By means of radial symmetrization mechanisms, we show that such problems can all be shifted to dimension one. We provide precise asymptotics in the general case and, in some particular situations, we are able to identify the sharp constants and characterize the extremizers. The sharp constant study is actually a consequence of a more general result we prove in the setup of de Branges spaces of entire functions, addressing the operator given by multiplication by $z^k$, $k \in \mathbb{N}$. Applications to sharp higher order Poincaré inequalities and other related extremal problems are discussed.
