Abstract:Stevens–Johnson syndrome (SJS) is a rare but severe skin-mucosal reaction with a high mortality rate. It manifests as sudden, painful blistering lesions on the skin, often accompanied by high fever and systemic toxicity. These lesions typically appear on the dorsal surfaces of the hands, feet, forearms, legs, and soles. Additionally, involvement of the conjunctiva, oral mucosa, labial mucosa, and vaginal mucosa can occur. Patients with SJS are at risk of complications such as pneumonia, severe comorbidities, and liver and renal failure. [ 1 ] This case report and analysis of omeprazole-induced SJS aims to increase clinical awareness of these side effects.
