Abstract:The factorization of harmonic maps from a simply-connected domain Omega subset of C boolean OR {infinity} to the unitary group is studied, showing that the theory of isotropic harmionic maps is equivalent to that of 2-unitons. Furthermore, a positive answer is given to the Uhlenbeck's conjecture on the upper bound of minimal uniton numbers.

Abstract:We consider various statements that characterize the hyperfinite II$_1$ factors amongst embeddable II$_1$ factors in the non-embeddable situation. In particular, we show that "generically" a II$_1$ factor has the Jung property (which states that every embedding of itself into its ultrapower is unitarily conjugate to the diagonal embedding) if and only if it is self-tracially stable (which says that every such embedding has an approximate lifting). We prove that the enforceable factor, should it exist, has these equivalent properties. Our techniques are model-theoretic in nature. We also show how these techniques can be used to give new proofs that the hyperfinite II$_1$ factor has the aforementioned properties.

Abstract:Gromov constructed uncountably many pairwise non-isomorphic discrete groups with Kazhdan's property (T). We will show that no separable II_1-factor can contain all these groups in its unitary group. In particular, no separable II_1-factor can contain all separable II_1-factors in it. We also show that the full group C*-algebras of some of these groups fail the lifting property.

Abstract:The factorization of the universal R-matrix corresponding to the so-called Drinfeld Hopf structure is described in the example of the quantum affine algebra U-q((s) over cap l(2)). Abstract:The Multiverse is collection of parallel universes. In this article a formal theory and a topos-theoretic models of the multiverse are given. For this the Lawvere-Kock Synthetic Differential Geometry and topos models for smooth infinitesimal analysis are used. Physical properties of multi-variant and many-dimensional parallel universes are discussed. The source of multiplicity of physical objects is set of physical constants.

Abstract:There was a lot of controversy about corollary 3.12, which was described in the paper Inter-universal Teichmuller Theory III. In this article, another proof of Corollary 3.12 will be derived, where the basis of the proof will be the Erdos-Kac theorem. Also in Inter-universal Teichmuller Theory IV it was said that the theory has a strong connection with the theory of Weil cohomology, based on this connection, very important physical applications will be derived in this article: generalization of non-Abelian Hodge correspondence, non-Abelian gauge theory, proof of the mass gap based on corollary 3.12, T duality is $\Theta^{\pm ell}$NF Hodge Theater, the limit at which a black hole appears, the inflationary growth of the universe for the observer.

A General Theory of Information and Computation

Abstract:This paper fills a gap in our understanding of the interaction between information and computation. It unifies other approaches to measuring information like Kolmogorov complexity and Shannon information. We define a theory about information flow in deterministic computing based on three fundamental observations: 1) Information is measured in logarithms, 2) All countable sets contain the same amount of information and 3) Deterministic computing does not create information. We analyze the flow of information through computational processes: exactly, for primitive recursive functions and elementary artithmetical operations and, under maximal entropy, for polynomial functions and diophantine equations. Thus we get, by the MRDP-theorem, a theory of flow of information for general computable functions. We prove some results like the Fueter-Pólya conjecture and the existence of an information conserving enumeration of all finite sets of numbers. We also show that the information flow in more complex derivatives of the primitive recursive functions like addition and multiplication is not trivial: in particular associativity is not information efficient for addition. Using the Cantor pairing function we develop a universal measuring device for partitions of the set of finite sets of numbers. We show that these sets can be enumerated by a polynomial function when ordered by cardinality, but not when ordered by their sums.

Abstract:Absolute combinatorial game theory was recently developed as a unifying tool for constructive/local game comparison (Larsson et al. 2018). The theory concerns {\em parental universes} of combinatorial games; standard closure properties are satisfied and each pair of non-empty sets of forms of the universe makes a form of the universe. Here we prove that there is an infinite number of absolute misère universes, by recursively expanding the dicot misère universe and the dead-ending universe. On the other hand, we prove that normal-play has exactly two absolute universes, namely the full space, and the universe of all-small games.

Factorization of the Hilbert space of eternal black holes in general relativity

Abstract:We generalize recent results in two-dimensional Jackiw-Teitelboim gravity to study factorization of the Hilbert space of eternal black holes in quantum gravity with a negative cosmological constant in any dimension. We approach the problem by computing the trace of two-sided observables as a sum over a recently constructed family of semiclassically well-controlled black hole microstates. These microstates, which contain heavy matter shells behind the horizon and form an overcomplete basis of the Hilbert space, exist in any theory of gravity with general relativity as its low energy limit. Using this representation of the microstates, we show that the trace of operators dual to functions of the Hamiltonians of the left and right holographic CFTs factorizes into a product over left and right factors to leading order in the semiclassical limit. Under certain conditions this implies factorization of the Hilbert space.

Abstract:We introduce and study the family of uniformly super McDuff II$_1$ factors. This family is shown to be closed under elementary equivalence and also coincides with the family of II$_1$ factors with the Brown property introduced in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2004.02293" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2004.02293">arXiv:2004.02293</a>. We show that a certain family of existentially closed factors, the so-called infinitely generic factors, are uniformly super McDuff, thereby improving a recent result of <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2205.07442" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2205.07442">arXiv:2205.07442</a>. We also show that Popa's family of strongly McDuff II$_1$ factors are uniformly super McDuff. Lastly, we investigate when finitely generic II$_1$ factors are uniformly super McDuff.

Abstract:We consider the dynamics of a causal bulk viscous cosmological fluid filled constantly decelerating Bianchi type I space-time. The matter component of the Universe is assumed to satisfy a linear barotropic equation of state and the state equation of the small temperature Boltzmann gas. The resulting cosmological models satisfy the condition of smallness of the viscous stress. The time evolution of the relaxation time, temperature, bulk viscosity coefficient and comoving entropy of the dissipative fluid is also obtained.

Abstract:The quantum world is described by a unit vector in the Hilbert space and the Hamiltonian. Do they, as abstract basis-independent objects, give a complete description of the physical world, or should we include observables like positions and momenta and the decomposition into subsystems? According to "Hilbert-space fundamentalism" they give a complete description, and all other features of the physical world emerge from them (Carroll, <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2103.09780" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2103.09780">arXiv:2103.09780</a>). This thesis was previously refuted in (<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2102.08620" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2102.08620">arXiv:2102.08620</a>) in full generality. But being an abstract non-uniqueness proof, and not a constructive one, it may not be convincing enough to the busy reader who wants to avoid mathematical details. Here I give a simpler, intuitive and constructive refutation, by showing that concrete physically distinct worlds can be described by the same unit vector and evolve according to the same law.

Abstract:We study the non-uniqueness of factorizations of non zero-divisors into atoms (irreducibles) in noncommutative rings. To do so, we extend concepts from the commutative theory of non-unique factorizations to a noncommutative setting. Several notions of factorizations as well as distances between them are introduced. In addition, arithmetical invariants characterizing the non-uniqueness of factorizations such as the catenary degree, the $\omega$-invariant, and the tame degree, are extended from commutative to noncommutative settings. We introduce the concept of a cancellative semigroup being permutably factorial, and characterize this property by means of corresponding catenary and tame degrees. Also, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for there to be a weak transfer homomorphism from a cancellative semigroup to its reduced abelianization. Applying the abstract machinery we develop, we determine various catenary degrees for classical maximal orders in central simple algebras over global fields by using a natural transfer homomorphism to a monoid of zero-sum sequences over a ray class group. We also determine catenary degrees and the permutable tame degree for the semigroup of non zero-divisors of the ring of $n \times n$ upper triangular matrices over a commutative domain using a weak transfer homomorphism to a commutative semigroup.

Abstract:The famous hypercontractive estimate discovered independently by Gross, Bonami and Beckner has had a great impact on combinatorics and theoretical computer science since it was first used in this setting in a seminal paper by Kahn, Kalai and Linial. The usual proofs of this inequality begin with two-point space, where some elementary calculus is used and then generalised immediately by introducing another dimension using submultiplicativity (Minkowski's integral inequality). In this paper, we prove this inequality using information theory. We compare the entropy of a pair of correlated vectors in {0,1}n to their separate entropies, analysing them bit by bit (not as a figure of speech, but as the bits are revealed) using the chain rule of entropy.

A Theory of Inaccessible Information

Abstract:What would be the consequences if there were fundamental limits to our ability to experimentally explore the world? In this work we seriously consider this question. We assume the existence of statements whose truth value is not experimentally accessible. That is, there is no way, not even in theory, to directly test if these statements are true or false. We further develop a theory in which experimentally accessible statements are a union of a fixed minimum number of inaccessible statements. For example, the value of truth of the statements "a" and "b" is not accessible, but the value of truth of the statement "a or b" is accessible. We do not directly assume probability theory, we exclusively define experimentally accessible and inaccessible statements and build on these notions using the rules of classical logic. We find that an interesting structure emerges. Developing this theory, we relax the logical structure to a probabilistic one, obtaining a theory rich in structure that we call "theory of inaccessible information". Surprisingly, the simplest model of theory of inaccessible information is the qubit in quantum mechanics. Along the path for the construction of this theory, we characterise and study a family of multiplicative information measures that we call "inaccessibility measures".

Abstract:We report on a recent conjecture by Gisin on a restriction of physical processes in sets of finite information numbers (FIN) and further analyze the entropic constraint associated with the proposed algorithm. In the course, we provide a decomposition of binary entropies in a pair of fractal sequences as functional composites of binary digit-sum functions and we construct a unique formula and an abstract partition function for these. We also prove, based on a previously introduced tool of the inductive combinatorial hierarchies that the naturally inherited self-similarity of the resulting hierarchy of entropic sets contains equivalence classes providing unlimited symbolic series for satisfying the demand posed by the FIN conjecture.
Non-Locality induces Isometry and Factorisation in Holography

Abstract:In holography, two manifestations of the black hole information paradox are given by the non-isometric nature of the bulk-boundary map and by the factorisation puzzle. By considering time-shifted microstates of the eternal black hole, we demonstrate that both these puzzles may be simultaneously resolved by taking into account non-local quantum corrections that correspond to wormholes arising from state averaging. This is achieved by showing, using a resolvent technique, that the resulting Hilbert space for an eternal black hole in Anti-de Sitter space is finite-dimensional with a discrete energy spectrum. The latter gives rise to a transition to a type I von Neumann algebra.

Abstract:The Mathematical Intelligencer recently published a note by Y. Sergeyev that challenges both mathematics and intelligence. We examine Sergeyev's claims concerning his purported Infinity computer. We compare his grossone system with the classical Levi-Civita fields and with the hyperreal framework of A. Robinson, and analyze the related algorithmic issues inevitably arising in any genuine computer implementation. We show that Sergeyev's grossone system is unnecessary and vague, and that whatever consistent subsystem could be salvaged is subsumed entirely within a stronger and clearer system (IST). Lou Kauffman, who published an article on a grossone, places it squarely outside the historical panorama of ideas dealing with infinity and infinitesimals.
