Abstract:Photocatalytic degradation of aquatic pollution caused by microplastics and antibiotic is of great significance for human health and sustainable development. Herein, a facile approach to fabrication of porous carbon nitride nanobelts with N 3c vacancies was presented, which combine with sulfamic acid-induced supramolecular preassembly process and subsequently thermal polycondensation. These formed N 3c vacancies not only obstruct the recombination of photo-induced charge, but also boost the adsorption and activation capacity of O 2 via its strong interactions involving the formation of C-O bond, which lead to the improvement of •O 2 − generation due to the isosite structure of adsorption and reduction sites of O 2 . Consequently, these photocatalysts exhibited an enhanced efficiency of microplastics and antibiotics degradation in aquatic environment. Combined with intermediate products, photocatalytic mechanism for degradation of microplastics and antibiotic were proposed. This work offers useful guidance for the construction of defect engineered semiconductors in the application of waste water treatment.
