Abstract:Hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage (HICH) is a condition associated with significant morbidity, mortality, and disability, particularly among the elderly population. The management of moderate thalamic-basal ganglia cerebral hemorrhage primarily relies on conservative approaches. Nevertheless, the rate of long-term disability remains high. In recent years, there has been significant advancement in minimally invasive surgery and diffusion tensor imaging techniques. Consequently, the utilization of Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) technology in patients with cerebral haemorrhage allows for the identification of the haematoma's location in relation to the Corticospinal Tract (CST). This enables the development of precise puncture pathways that can be visualized, thereby avoiding any potential damage to the CST.
