Abstract:This study discusses atypical oral manifestations related to human herpesvirus (HHV) in patients admitted to Intensive Care Units (ICU). Case 1 involved a 50-year-old female patient hospitalized for perforating acute abdomen. Cases 2 and 3 were male patients, 45 and 52 years old, respectively, admitted for complications related to COVID-19. In all three cases, extensive erosive lesions were observed in the oral and perioral mucosa, with the presence of bloody crusts. The initial diagnostic hypotheses included viral infection and erythema multiforme.
