Abstract:We prove the continuous non-Archimedean (resp. p-adic) Banach space and Hilbert space versions of non-Archimedean (resp. p-adic) Welch bounds proved by M. Krishna. We formulate continuous non-Archimedean and p-adic functional Zauner conjectures.

Abstract:Let $(\Omega, \mu)$ be a measure space and $\{\tau_\alpha\}_{\alpha\in \Omega}$ be a normalized continuous Bessel family for a real Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$. If the diagonal $\Delta := \{(\alpha, \alpha):\alpha \in \Omega\}$ is measurable in the measure space $\Omega\times \Omega$, then we show that \begin{align} (1) \quad\quad\quad\quad \sup _{\alpha, \beta \in \Omega, \alpha\neq \beta}\langle \tau_\alpha, \tau_\beta\rangle \geq \frac{-(\mu\times\mu)(\Delta)}{(\mu\times\mu)((\Omega\times\Omega)\setminus\Delta)}. \end{align} We call Inequality (1) as continuous Rankin bound. It improves 76 years old result of Rankin [\textit{Ann. of Math., 1947}]. It also answers one of the questions asked by K. M. Krishna in the paper [Continuous Welch bounds with applications, \textit{Commun. Korean Math. Soc., 2023}]. We also derive Banach space version of Inequality (1).

Abstract:Motivated from two decades old famous Feichtinger conjectures for frames, $R_\varepsilon$-conjecture and Weaver's conjecture for Hilbert spaces (and their solution by Marcus, Spielman, and Srivastava), we formulate Feichtinger conjectures for p-approximate Schauder frames, $R_\varepsilon$-conjecture, Weaver's conjectures and Akemann-Weaver conjectures for Banach spaces. We also formulate conjectures on p-approximate Schauder frames based on the results of Casazza for frames for Hilbert spaces. We state conjectures and problems for p-approximate Schauder frames based on fundamental inequality for frames for Hilbert spaces and scaling problem for Hilbert space frames. Based on Kothe-Lorch theorem for Riesz bases for Hilbert spaces, we formulate a problem for p-approximate Riesz bases for Banach spaces. We formulate dynamical sampling problem for p-approximate Schauder frames for Banach spaces. We ask phase retrieval problem and norm retrieval problem for p-approximate Schauder frames for Banach spaces. We also formulate discretization problem for continuous p-approximate Schauder frames.

We also derive continuous Deutsch uncertainty principles for Banach spaces.

Abstract:For each value of $p$ such that $0<p<1$, we give a specific example of two functions in the Hardy space $H^p$ and in the Bergman space $A^p$ that do not satisfy the triangle inequality. For Hardy spaces, this provides a much simpler proof than the one due to Livingston that involves abstract functional analysis arguments and an approximation theorem. For Bergman spaces, we have not been able to locate any examples or proofs in the existing literature.

Abstract:Using the error bound results established in the present paper for approximate solutions, we study the stability issues when perturbed by possibly nonaffine smooth maps E for the abstract inequality system F >=(K) 0 defined by a (possible nonclosed) convex cone K and a Frechet differentiable function F satisfying the (extended) weak gamma-condition. We provide some sufficient conditions, in terms of the information at a solution x(0), for ensuring the lower semicontinuity and/or the Lipschitz-like continuity at x(0) of the solution mapping for the perturbed system F + E >=(K) 0 with smooth perturbation E. Explicit upper bounds of the Lipschitz-like moduli are also provided.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the boundedness of the Hausdorff operator Hϕ on the real line ℝ. First, we start with an easy case by establishing the boundedness of the Hausdorff operator on the Lebesgue space Lp(ℝ) and the Hardy space H1(ℝ). The key idea is to reformulate Hϕ as a Calderón-Zygmund convolution operator, from which its boundedness is proved by verifying the Hörmander condition of the convolution kernel. Secondly, to prove the boundedness on the Hardy space Hp(ℝ) with 0 < p < 1; we rewrite the Hausdorff operator as a singular integral operator with the non-convolution kernel. This novel reformulation, in combination with the Taibleson-Weiss molecular characterization of Hp(ℝ) spaces, enables us to obtain the desired results. Those results significantly extend the known boundedness of the Hausdorff operator on H1(ℝ).
Gabriel's problem for harmonic Hardy spaces

Abstract:We obtain inequalities of the form $$\int_C |f(z)|^p |dz| \leq A(p) \int_{\mathbb{T}} |f(z)|^p |dz|, \quad (p>1)$$ where $f$ is harmonic in the unit disk $\mathbb{D}$, $\mathbb{T}$ is the unit circle, and $C$ is any convex curve in $\mathbb{D}$. Such inequalities were originally studied for analytic functions by R. M. Gabriel [Proc. London Math. Soc. 28(2), 1928]. We show that these results, unlike in the case of analytic functions, cannot be true in general for $0< p \le 1$. Therefore, we produce an inequality of a slightly different type, which deals with the case $0<p<1$. An example is given to show that this result is "best possible", in the sense that an extension to $p=1$ fails. Then we consider the special case when $C$ is a circle, and prove a refined result which surprisingly holds for $p=1$ as well. We conclude with a maximal theorem which has potential applications.

Maximal Singular Integral Operators Acting on Noncommutative L_p -Spaces

Abstract:In this paper, we study the boundedness theory for maximal Calderón–Zygmund operators acting on noncommutative $$L_p$$ -spaces. Our first result is a criterion for the weak type (1, 1) estimate of noncommutative maximal Calderón–Zygmund operators; as an application, we obtain the weak type (1, 1) estimates of operator-valued maximal singular integrals of convolution type under proper regularity conditions. These are the first noncommutative maximal inequalities for families of truly non-positive linear operators. For homogeneous singular integrals, the strong type (p, p) ( $$1<p<\infty $$ ) maximal estimates are shown to be true even for rough kernels. As a byproduct of the criterion, we obtain the noncommutative weak type (1, 1) estimate for Calderón–Zygmund operators with integral regularity condition that is slightly stronger than the Hörmander condition; this provides somewhat an affirmative answer to an open question in the noncommutative Calderón–Zygmund theory.

Abstract:We investigate the subsequence $\{t_{2^n}f \}$ of Nörlund means with respect to the Walsh system generated by non-increasing and convex sequences. In particular, we prove that a big class of such summability methods are not bounded from the martingale Hardy spaces $H_p$ to the space $weak-L_p $ for $0<p<1/(1+\alpha) $, where $0<\alpha<1$. Moreover, some new related inequalities are derived. As application, some well-known and new results are pointed out for well-known summability methods, especially for Nörlund logarithmic means and Cesàro means.

Abstract:Classical boundary Hardy inequality, that goes back to 1988, states that if $1 < p < \infty, \ ~\Omega$ is bounded Lipschitz domain, then for all $u \in C^{\infty}_{c}(\Omega)$, $$\int_{\Omega} \frac{|u(x)|^{p}}{\delta^{p}_{\Omega}(x)} dx \leq C\int_{\Omega} |\nabla u(x) |^{p}dx,$$ where $\delta_\Omega(x)$ is the distance function from $\Omega^c$. In this article, we address the long standing open question on the case $p=1$ by establishing appropriate boundary Hardy inequalities in the space of functions of bounded variation. We first establish appropriate inequalities on fractional Sobolev spaces $W^{s,1}(\Omega)$ and then Brezis, Bourgain and Mironescu's result on limiting behavior of fractional Sobolev spaces as $s\rightarrow 1^{-}$ plays an important role in the proof. Moreover, we also derive an infinite series Hardy inequality for the case $p=1$.

Abstract:The goal of this paper is to establish a general fixed point theorem for compact single-valued continuous mapping in Hausdorff p-vector spaces, and the fixed point theorem for upper semicontinuous set-valued mappings in Hausdorff locally p-convex for p in (0, 1]. These new results provide an answer to Schauder conjecture in the affirmative under the setting of general p-vector spaces for compact single-valued continuous, and also give the fixed point theorems for upper semicontinuous set-valued mappings defined on s-convex subsets in Hausdorff locally p-convex spaces, which would be fundamental for nonlinear functional analysis in mathematics, where s,p in (0.1].

Nonlinear Maccone-Pati Uncertainty Principle

Abstract:We show that one of the two important uncertainty principles derived by Maccone and Pati \textit{[Phys. Rev. Lett., 2014]} can be derived for arbitrary maps defined on subsets of $\mathcal{L}^p$ spaces for $1< p<\infty$. Our main tool is the Clarkson inequalities. We also derive a nonlinear uncertainty principle for weak parallelogram spaces and Type-p Banach spaces.

On fractional Hardy-type inequalities in general open sets

Abstract:We show that, when $sp>N$, the sharp Hardy constant $\mathfrak{h}_{s,p}$ of the punctured space $\mathbb R^N\setminus\{0\}$ in the Sobolev-Slobodecki\uı space provides an optimal lower bound for the Hardy constant $\mathfrak{h}_{s,p}(\Omega)$ of an open $\Omega\subsetneq \mathbb R^N$. The proof exploits the characterization of Hardy's inequality in the fractional setting in terms of positive local weak supersolutions of the relevant Euler-Lagrange equation and relies on the construction of suitable supersolutions by means of the distance function from the boundary of $\Omega$. Moreover, we compute the limit of $\mathfrak{h}_{s,p}$ as $s\nearrow 1$, as well as the limit when $p \nearrow \infty$. Finally, we apply our results to establish a lower bound for the non-local eigenvalue $\lambda_{s,p}(\Omega)$ in terms of $\mathfrak{h}_{s,p}$ when $sp>N$, which, in turn, gives an improved Cheeger inequality whose constant does not vanish as $p\nearrow \infty$.

The space of Hardy-weights for quasilinear operators on discrete graphs

Abstract:We study Hardy inequalities for $p$-Schrödinger operators on general weighted graphs. Specifically, we prove a Maz'ya-type result, where we characterize the space of Hardy weights for $ p $-Schrödinger operators via a generalized capacity. The novel ingredient in the proof is the demonstration that the simplified energy of the $ p $-Schrödinger energy functional is compatible with certain normal contractions. As a consequence, we obtain a necessary integrability criterion for Hardy weights. Finally, using some tools of criticality theory, we investigate the existence of minimizers in the Hardy inequalities and discuss relations to Cheeger type estimates.

Abstract:To study the boundedness of operators on multi-parameter local Hardy space , inhomogeneous Journé class has been introduced. It is well known that operators in the Journé class are bounded on multi-parameter Hardy space if and only if for p near 1. Under the same conditions, operators in inhomogeneous Journé class are bounded on . In this paper, We give an operator belonging to the inhomogeneous Journé class without and prove its boundedness from to by almost orthogonality estimates. It implies that is not a necessary condition for the boundedness on of a singular operator in the inhomogeneous Journé class.

Abstract:Abstract We verify a long-standing conjecture on the membership of univalent harmonic mappings in the Hardy space, whenever the functions have a “nice” analytic part. We also produce a coefficient estimate for these functions, which is in a sense best possible. The problem is then explored in a new direction, without the additional hypothesis. Interestingly, our ideas extend to certain classes of locally univalent harmonic mappings. Finally, we prove a Baernstein-type extremal result for the function $\log (h'+cg')$ , when $f=h+\overline {g}$ is a close-to-convex harmonic function, and c is a constant. This leads to a sharp coefficient inequality for these functions.
