Abstract:With the trend towards slimmer and smaller wearable smart electronic devices, there is a growing need for lightweight, flexible, and eco-friendly power sources. Herein, we report a wearable, self-charging energy storage device based on triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) for energy-harvesting and zinc-ion hybrid capacitor for energy-storage. The all-fiber-structured TENG is constructed by using ethyl cellulose/polyvinylpyrrolidone (EC/PVP) as the positive friction layer and MXene-doped polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) with strong electronegativity as the negative friction layer via electrostatic spinning. Particularly, the TENG possesses achieving a peak power density of 830 mW m −2 at a load resistance of 10 8 Ω. In addition, MnO 2 /carbon cloth (CC) cathode, activated carbon anode and ZnCl 2 @MnSO 4 /PVA electrolyte were assembled for a zinc-ion hybrid capacitor (MA-SC), which exhibits excellent electrochemical performance, with a specific capacitance of 493.79 mF cm −2 at 2 mA cm −2 . The MA-SC demonstrates high energy density of 341.8 μWh cm −2 at power density of 5.56 mW cm −2 , which is very suitable as an energy storage device. The MA-SC and TENG can be assembled to the power textile that integrates into garments, enabling the harvest and storage of mechanical energy generated by the human body. Therefore, this integrated self-charging power textile holds great promising applications in wearable electronics.
