Abstract:To the Editor The randomized clinical trial by Safford et al 1 in JAMA Internal Medicine sheds light on the effectiveness of peer coaching and practice facilitation in managing uncontrolled hypertension among Black adults living in rural areas, presenting a valuable addition to the literature on hypertension intervention strategies. As social workers, we are encouraged to place emphasis on this demographic, as the authors have done, because it is important for advancing health equity and enhancing specific interventions. In this Letter to the Editor, we aim to appreciate the contributions of this study, while also discussing areas for cautious interpretation and further exploration.
