Abstract:On the basis of cash flow statement,some indexes,which will be used to evaluate the profit quality of a corporation on the market,are put forward.Such as,rate of net cash flows from operating activities on operating profit,rate of the main operating cash receipts on the main operating revenue,rate of net cash flows from operating activities on net income,rate of cash gross margin percentage on product gross margin percentage and rate of cash receipts from investing income on investing income.The paper gives the evaluating standards and elaborates the evaluating method for the profit quality of a corporation on the market with an illustration.The result reflects that on the basis of these indexes we can find the reality of the operating results that financial statements reflect.All this is a good reference for investors to make decisions.

Abstract:As an important index to measure the operating result of enterprises, profit is the focus of accounting information users. In recent years, with the emergence of financial fraud cases in the whole world, the authenticity and reliability of accounting profits have been questioned. The users of accounting information shift their focus from the quantity to the quality of accounting profits. How to evaluate the quality of profits comprehensively and reasonably has become the focus of enterprise financial analysis. At present, the academic world has not established a unified evaluation system and method. My study summarizes and evaluates four most commonly used methods for evaluating enterprise profit quality. The study finds that all kinds of methods have their own characteristics. Each method has advantages as well as disadvantages. It is believed that the quality of profit is affected by many factors, and a variety of methods can be used for comprehensive evaluation to ensure the accuracy of the evaluation result.

Measuring The Management Of Cash Flows From Operating Activities-Evidence From Chinese Capital Markets

Abstract:Based on the structure of statement of cash flow, this paper develops a model to measure the management of cash flows from operating activities (CFO). We verify the model's effectiveness for the sample consists of 6146 firm-years over 1998-2006 of Chinese listed companies. We find that those companies with the incentive of reporting positive CFO or transcending CFO in previous year have much higher magnitude of CFO management. The results indicate that there exists the phenomenon of CFO management for Chinese listed companies, and these management activities are motivated by different incentives.

Abstract:We develop and validate an empirical measure of the informativeness of accounting assets in measuring firm-specific economic capital, an important determinant of both cash flows and intrinsic values. Our validation tests show that the asset-informativeness measure is sensitive to differences in both accounting methods and implementation decisions at the firm level, and corresponds to the way equity investors use the information in accounting assets. We find that accounting assets contain substantial information about firms’ productive capacity (economic capital) and the information is not summarized in several earnings attributes often associated with earnings quality.

Abstract:Earnings quality is a crucial metric for evaluating corporate performance and comprehending the long-term financial viability. This research examines several factors' impact on earnings quality by analyzing data from manufacturing businesses listed on the IDX. The key determinants in this study are the extent to which profit is sustained over time, the company's scale, and its liquidity level. The data was extracted from financial reports retrieved from the website www.idx.com. This research falls under the category of quantitative analysis. The purposive sampling method acquired the research sample, which involves selecting models based on preset criteria. Using the purposive sampling strategy, a total of 41 firms were obtained. Data analysis techniques include descriptive statistical tests, panel data model selection tests, f-tests, t-tests, and coefficient of determination tests. The hypothesis testing in this research uses Eviews version 10.0 with panel data. The research shows that leverage has a big effect on the quality of profits, but earnings persistence and business size do not have a big effect on the quality of profits in manufacturing businesses.

Abstract:In this article,we document the profitability of Chinese listed companies dur- ing the period between 1902 and 2004.The results indicate that on average,the profitability of Chinese listed companies has been on the decline over this period.IPO firms perform worse after being listed.Further analysis indicates that profitability ratio exhibits strong mean re- version property.

Abstract:With the development of economic globalization, the trend of internationalization and alliance of large enterprises is becoming more and more obvious, and the competition and cooperation among enterprises are still continuing. In this new historical stage, it is very necessary to ensure the smooth implementation of financial management and coordination with other systems, in line with the times, to establish, improve, and ensure a scientific and reasonable enterprise financial management model and prove its effectiveness. However, the existing research on the specific implementation of the integrated financial management model based on the theory and case studies is not specific enough, the process tracking is not detailed enough, the implementation effect evaluation theory lacks scientificity and integrity in the establishment of the index system, and the evaluation methods are relatively simple. In view of the above problems, this paper proposes the specific implementation steps and problems that need to be paid attention based on the financial management model for large listed companies, establishes the evaluation index system of enterprise implementation by using the method, and quantifies the listed companies before and after the implementation of integrated financial management. The comparisons give credible results. This paper is of great significance for improving the existing performance evaluation system, responding to national policies, promoting the development of enterprise informatization, and improving the success rate and competitiveness of enterprise integrated financial management implementation.

Abstract:Purpose - Owing to the constant changes in the capital market, the accounts in the financial statements have gradually become more complex with the development of the capital market. Hengrui Pharmaceutical was chosen as the case study object to explore the analysis method for enterprise financial statements, hoping to provide a reference for enterprises and investors when using financial statements for analysis. Design/Methodology/Approach - This study takes data from the 2019-2022 annual report of Hengrui Pharmaceutical as the research object and uses case analysis, the Harvard analysis framework, project quality analysis, as well as other methods. Findings - The analysis of Hengrui Pharmaceutical Company’s annual report reveals that the Harvard Analytical Framework and project quality analysis can enable data users to better understand the company’s current situation and prospects. Research Implications - Few studies have used project quality analysis to analyze corporate financial data in the existing literature. This study combines the Harvard Analytical Framework and project quality analysis methods to analyze financial data. Furthermore, it discusses the feasibility of combining the Harvard Analytical Framework with a project quality analysis method and its application to financial data analysis. The research results have significance as a reference for the financial analyses of other enterprises and investors.

Abstract:Profit quality is very important information related to the company's financial health. The research aims to assess and describe the effect of profit growth, liquidity and profitability on profit quality. Research includes quantitative research. Research materials using food and beverage manufacturing companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2021 period. The sample used 19 companies. Multiple linear regression is a technique used in data analysis. The results prove that profit growth and liquidity do not affect profit quality, while profitability affects profit quality. This research is used as a helper for entities and external parties in order to determine the quality of profit in an entity.

Abstract:This paper explores the differences in earnings quality between the National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ) companies and the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) companies. The study finds that NEEQ companies and GEM companies have different characteristics in earnings quality. NEEQ companies have a significantly higher level of upward earnings management than GEM companies, while GEM companies have stronger incentives to manage earnings downward through a ‘big bath’ than NEEQ companies, owing to the special treatment and delisting regulations for GEM firms. We also find that the unique institutions of NEEQ have significant impacts on the earnings quality of companies. Innovation-layer companies, companies applying for IPOs, companies with independent directors, companies trading with market makers, companies with private equity (PE) or venture capital (VC) investment have higher earnings quality.

Abstract:This research collects and analyses the profitability data of Chinese listed companies from 1992 to 2004. Results show that, on average, the profitability of Chinese listed companies has declined over the period. Post-IPO earnings also exhibit a downward trend. A further analysis reveals that changes in listed firms’ profitability ratio follow a strong mean reversion pattern.

Abstract:The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of earnings growth, profitability, capital structure, liquidity and company size on earnings quality in companies of Basic and Chemical Industries Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The time period of the study is 5 years, namely the 2014-2018 period.The population in this study includes all basic and chemical industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. The type of data used is secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange website. The analytical method used is panel data regression analysis.The results of the study simultaneously showed that the independent variable affected earnings quality. While partially, company size, profitability, liquidity and company size variables have no effect on earnings quality, but capital structure variables that are proxy by leverage have a positive effect on earnings quality.

Based on the quantitative analysis of sample companies, this paper compares and analyzes the characteristics and applicability of the three methods from three aspects of evaluation concept, index nature and evaluation elements, and gives the analysis conclusion combined with the scale, quantity and life cycle of performance evaluation object. Abstract:The main purpose of this paper is to address the existing gap in traditional analysis methods by integrating strategic management and environmental aspects, and to establish a theory of quality analysis of corporate financial conditions. This paper uses the method of combining enterprise strategy and financial statement analysis to analyse the quality of assets, profit and cash flow of enterprises, and then evaluates the allocation of strategic resources, the effect of strategy implementation and the ability of strategic support. This study demonstrates that the application of the theory of financial condition quality analysis can enhance the assessment of enterprises in terms of their market expansion ability, strategic layout ability, and internal governance ability, and this approach is aligned with the requirements of users. Based on the link between strategic management and financial statement analysis, this paper establishes a theoretical framework for financial position quality analysis. The theoretical framework of financial condition quality analysis established in this paper solves the limitations of traditional financial analysis methods and existing financial quality analysis theories, and opens up a new way for corporate financial analysis. Based on the analysis framework, this paper analyses the three aspects of Midea Group's cost management, diversified strategic layout and global breakthrough strategy, and puts forward suggestions for the future development of the enterprise.
