Abstract:Background and Purpose: Questioning the adverse childhood experiences of adults may facilitate their search for help for their physical, social, and psychological well-being. The aim of this study is to determine the validity and reliability of the Adverse Childhood Experience Questionnaire for Adults in Turkish. Methods: This methodological study was conducted with 290 participants. The data collection tools consisted of a personal information form, the Adverse Childhood Experience Questionnaire for Adults, and the Childhood Trauma Experiences Questionnaire Short Form. Results: The number of items in the original questionnaire was 29 and became 24 in the Turkish adaption, which showed content validity, construct validity, and internal consistency reliability (Cronbach's alpha (α) = 0.928). Conclusions: The Adverse Childhood Experience Questionnaire for Adults was found to be valid and reliable for the Turkish population.
Cross-cultural Adaptation of the Activity Questionnaire for Adults and Adolescents into Turkish and Investigation of its Validity and Reliability

Abstract:Objective: The Activity Questionnaire for Adults and Adolescents (AQuAA) is used to evaluate physical activity (PA) levels in different age groups. Its validity and reliability in the Turkish language have not been studied yet. This study aims to adapt the AQuAA into Turkish and to investigate its validity and reliability. Methods: A total of 124 volunteers were included in the study. After the Turkish adaptation of AQuAA, the AQuAA-Tr version was administered to the volunteers for test-retest reliability twice, with an interval of two weeks, and the International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Form (IPAQ-SF) for criterion validity. For construct validity, the step counts of the volunteers were followed for two weeks with the Samsung Health® smartphone pedometer application. The reliability of the AQuAA-Tr was evaluated with intra-class correlation coefficients (ICC). Spearman correlation coefficients (r) were used to analyze the relationships between continuous variables. Results: A total of 72 adolescents (51 females and 21 males, mean age 14.5 ± 0.1 years) and 52 young adults (32 females and 20 males, mean age 25.8 ± 1.3 years) participated in the test-retest reliability and criterion validity study. Thirty-four adolescents (26 female, 8 male, mean age 14.7 ± 0.2 years) and 39 young adults (27 female, 12 male, mean age 25.6 ± 1.5 years) were included in the construct validity study. The test-retest reliability of the questionnaire was in the range of strong to very strong (ICC = 0.704 to 0.982) in adolescents and moderate to strong (ICC = 0.606 to 0.851) in adults for different levels of PA. In the context of the criterion validity, although there were moderate to strong correlations (r = 0.413 to 0.768) between some PA levels of the IPAQ-SF and AQuAA-Tr in adolescents and moderate correlations (r = 0.422 to 0.525) in adults, the correlations were mostly weak or negligible. In relation to construct validity, although there were moderate correlations (r = 0.435 to 0.504) between the Samsung Health® data and some PA levels of the AQuAA-Tr in adults, the correlations were mostly weak or negligible. There were no correlations between the Samsung Health® data and AQuAA-Tr in adolescents. Conclusion: The reliability of the AQuAA-Tr was confirmed in both adolescents and adults. However, the criterion and construct validity of the AQuAA-Tr were not confirmed for either adolescents or adults. Introducing a PA questionnaire, which can provide detailed information about sedentary, light, moderate, and vigorous PA scores separately and total PA scores and allows the evaluation of PA in different categories, into our language is considered beneficial. Yet, the results of AQuAA-Tr should be interpreted carefully in the clinic.
Development of the medical adherence scale in adolescents using psychotropic medication and evaluation of validity and reliability in Turkish population

Abstract:Purpose: Although treatment non-adherence is relatively high among adolescents, there is a need for standardized measurement tools that measure adherence to treatment in adolescents. This study aimed to develop a new measurement tool to assess the adherence to treatment of adolescents with mental disorders who use psychotropic medication. Methods: The data of this methodologically designed study were collected between 01.04.2022 and 01.07.2023 in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of a university hospital in the Aegean Region of Turkey. The Medication Adherence Reporting Scale and Adolescent Medical Adherence Scale draft form were used for data collection. The scale items were formed from the themes, sub-themes, and statements in the qualitative study that the researchers had conducted with adolescents with mental disorders and their parents, clinicians' experiences, and systematic reviews and meta-synthesis in the literature. The study sample consisted of 95 adolescents with mental disorders. Exploratory factor analysis was performed with Varimax rotation to determine the factorial construct validity of the scale. Internal consistency analyses were performed in reliability analyses, and Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used. Results: The mean age of the adolescents was 14.18 years (1.81); 50.5% were male, and 96.8% were attending school. When the mental disorder diagnoses were analyzed, 65.3% of the adolescents were being followed up with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder diagnoses, and 58.8% were using stimulants. The 12-item form of the Adolescent Medical Adherence Scale was found to have a three-factor structure with item-total correlation values ranging between 0.26 and 0.66, and these factors were named functionality, responsibility in treatment, and medication adherence. Factor loadings ranged between 0.44 and 0.86, and the items explained 62.98% of the total variance. The internal consistency coefficients of the scale were between 0.69 and 0.83 for the subscales and 0.82 for the total scale. Conclusion: Based on the analysis and results used in this study, the Adolescent Medical Adherence Scale is a valid and reliable new measurement tool. Practice implications: This tool can be used in clinical settings to evaluate adolescents' treatment adherence and prognosis. Clinical studies conducted with adolescents can also determine adherence to treatment and affecting factors.
Psychometric assessment of the Adherence to Asthma Medication Questionnaire in asthma patients in China: a validation study

Abstract:Background: Patients' medication adherence plays a critical role in the treatment and rehabilitation of disease. However, few tools are currently available that can be used to identify the reasons for their nonadherence with their medication regimens. It is possible to evaluate both the level of medication adherence of a patient as well as the reasons for it using the Adherence to Asthma Medication Questionnaire (AAMQ). The purpose of this study was to adapt the AAMQ for use in Chinese patients and a variety of asthma patients. Methods: A total of 242 asthma patients were recruited from Jinzhou in China. The Adherence to Asthma Medication Questionnaire was translated and back-translated using the Brislin translation model. Test-retest reliability, internal consistency, and stability all play a large role in determining the reliability of a scale. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to examine the scale's construct validity, and expert consultation was used to verify the scale's content validity. Statistics were deemed significant at p < 0.05. Results: The Cronbach's α value of the Chinese version of the AAMQ was 0.866, and the coefficient values for the three domains ranged between 0.702 and 0.798. The split-half reliability and stability values were 0.794 and 0.772, respectively. The content validity index of the scale (S-CVI) was 0.923, and the content validity index of the level of scale entry was 0.857-1.000. According to the confirmatory factor analysis, the chi-square degreed of freedom were 1.484, and the model fitting indices were all within normal limits. Conclusions: The AAMQ had good reliability and validity for asthmatic patients. The results of the scale's assessment can be used as a criterion for medication adherence among asthmatic patients and to understand the causes. This study provides a reference for solving the problem of medication adherence among asthma patients and implementing targeted nursing measures. The Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire: cross-cultural adaptation into Turkish assessing its psychometric properties

Abstract:Purpose: The purpose of this study was to linguistically and culturally adapt the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ) for use in Turkey, and to examine the psychometric properties of this adapted version. Method: The cross-cultural adaptation was achieved by translating the items from the original version, with back-translation performed by independent mother-tongue translators, followed by committee review. Reliability (internal consistency and test-retest) was examined for 198 participants who completed the NMQ twice (with a 1 week interval). Construct validity was examined with data from 126 participants from the same population, who completed further four questionnaires related to the body regions described in the NMQ. Results: The internal consistency was excellent (Cronbach's alpha = 0.896). The test-retest reliability was examined with the prevalence-adjusted bias-adjusted kappa (PABAK) and all items showed moderate to almost perfect reliability (PABAK = 0.57-0.90). Participants with a musculoskeletal problem in a related region had significantly more disability/pain, as assessed by the relevant questionnaires (p < 0.001), indicating that the NMQ had a good construct validity. Conclusions: This study provided considerable evidence that the Turkish version of the NMQ has appropriate psychometric properties, including good test-retest reliability, internal consistency and construct validity. It can be used for screening and epidemiological investigations of musculoskeletal symptoms. Implications for Rehabilitation The Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ) can be used for the screening of musculoskeletal problems. The NMQ allows comparison of musculoskeletal problems in different body regions in epidemiological studies with large numbers of participants. The Turkish version of the NMQ can be used for rehabilitation due to its appropriate psychometric properties, including good test-retest reliability, internal consistency and construct validity.
Turkish adaptation of the antenatal risk questionnaire-revised: study of validity and reliability

Abstract:Objective: This study sought to translate the Antenatal Risk Questionnaire-Revised (ANRQ-R) into Turkish and evaluate its psychometric properties for assessing psychosocial vulnerabilities among Turkish-speaking pregnant women. Methods: The ANRQ-R was translated into Turkish following standard linguistic adaptation procedures. Psychometric properties were then examined using a cross-sectional study design, involving 156 pregnant women recruited from antenatal clinics in Turkey. Participants completed the Turkish ANRQ-R and the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS). Statistical analyses, including intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) for test-retest reliability, Pearson correlation analysis for item-total test correlations, and Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) analysis for diagnostic accuracy, were conducted. Results: The ANRQ-R Turkish version showed high test-retest reliability with an ICC of 0.888 for the total score. Moderate to good ICCs were obtained for individual Likert-type items (0.572-0.849). Criterion-related validity was established via moderate correlations with the EPDS and its anxiety subscale EPDS-3 A (r = 0.537 and r = 0.431, respectively). ROC analysis demonstrated good discriminatory power (Area Under the Curve = 0.75) with an optimal cut-off score of 17, yielding 78% sensitivity and 65% specificity for identifying potential depression cases. Conclusions: This study provides preliminary evidence of the overall reliability of the Turkish version of the ANRQ-R as a measure of psychosocial risk among Turkish-speaking women during pregnancy. Despite some limitations in item-level internal consistency indicators, integration of the ANRQ-R into routine antenatal care could enhance early identification and intervention strategies, potentially improving maternal health outcomes. Future research should aim to further validate the scale across diverse populations and settings, using a diagnostic tool as the reference standard.
Translation and cross-cultural adaptation of the modified Short QUestionnaire to Assess Health-enhancing physical activity (mSQUASH) into Turkish

Abstract:Aims The aim was to translate and cross-culturally adapt the modified Short Questionnaire to Assess Health-enhancing physical activity (mSQUASH) into Turkish Methods The mSQUASH was translated into Turkish and backward-translation into Dutch was performed afterwards using the Beaton method. After the Turkish version was reviewed and revised by an expert committee that included translators, two patients and the research team a pre-final version was produced. The-pre final version then entered a field-test with cognitive debriefing in 10 patients with axSpA. The final result was the Turkish mSQUASH version. Results The translation process went without difficulties. Small discrepancies were either resolved during the synthesis or expert consensus meetings. Mean (SD) time to complete the mSQUASH was 6.1 (2.4) minutes in field-test procedure. The cognitive debriefing showed that the items of the Turkish mSQUASH were clear, relevant, easy to understand and easy to complete. None of the patients reported that an important aspect of physical activity was missing from the questionnaire items. Patients raised the concern that not all sport examples were culturally suitable; tennis was replaced by volleyball and basketball after the cognitive debriefing, to make it more appropriate to the Turkish culture. Conclusion The final Turkish version of the mSQUASH showed acceptable linguistic and field validity for use in both clinical practice and research. However, further assessment of the psychometric properties (validity and reliability) of the Turkish version of the mSQUASH is needed before it can be implemented.
Evaluation of Asthma Control And Treatment Adherance In Asthma Patients

Abstract:We aimed to evaluate asthma control status and treatment adherance in real life. Methods: Outpatient clinic patients between the ages of 18-65 and who signed the consent form, were prospectively included. Demographic data, clinical history, Asthma control test(ACT) and Morisky Medication Adherance Scale(MMAS) were evaluated. According to their ACT score, patients were grouped as Group1=ACT 0-2(Well Controlled and partly controlled asthma), Group2= ACT 3-4(Uncontrolled Asthma). In MMAS 0-2 point is a low treatment adherence while 3-4 is a high treatment adherence. Results: The average age of a total of 233 patients was 47,82±11.24 years. Between Group1 n=158(%67,8) and Group 2 n=75(%32,2) were no difference in terms of age, gender, pack-year and comorbidities. In the Group2; while active smoking(p:0.023), emergency, polyclinic and family physician visits (p0.001,0.0035,0.002, respectively), neutrophil count-percentage (p:0.001,0.043 respectively) were higher, FEV1/FVC%(p0.004) and MMAS(p0.003) were lower. In addition, the frequency of urticaria was higher, while MART treatment regimen was lower in Group2. With ACT; while pack-year (p0.029,r+0.143), emergency admission (p0.002,r+0.199), outpatient admission (p0.014,r+0.162,p0.008r+0.174), neutrophil count-percentage (p0.0001,r0.243,p0.043r0.138 respectively) were positively correlated, The Morisky Medication Adherance Scale score (p0.002 r-0.204), FVC (p0.021 r-0.155), FEV1% (p0.015 r-0.163), MEF25-75% (p0.024 r-0.168), number of COVID vaccinations (p0.01 r-0.168) was found negatively correlated. Conclution: Active smoking, pack years, low respiratory functions, frequent health care visits and low treatment compliance are associated with uncontrolled asthma.

Abstract:Purpose The purpose of this study is to cross-culturally adapt the Post Hospitalization Behavior Questionnaire for Ambulatory Surgery (PHBQ-AS) to Turkish and test its validity and reliability. Design This is a methodological study. Methods This study was conducted with 121 children aged 1 to 12 years who underwent ambulatory surgery. The data of the study were collected using a Descriptive Information Form, PHBQ-AS, and the Parents' Postoperative Pain Measure. Data analysis and evaluation were performed using factor analysis, Cronbach's α analysis, item-total score correlation analysis, content validity, construct validity, and concurrent validity. Findings PHBQ-AS showed a high level of internal consistency (Cronbach's α = 0.801). The item-total correlation values of PHBQ-AS were found to be 0.458 to 0.753. PHBQ-AS was determined to be a single-factor scale explaining 66% of the variance in the examined variable. PHBQ-AS and Parents' Postoperative Pain Measure scores were moderately correlated. Conclusions The Turkish version of PHBQ-AS was highly valid and reliable for the Turkish population. A recommendation for health care professionals in Turkey is to use the PHBQ-AS scale to evaluate posthospitalization behavioral changes in children who are admitted for ambulatory surgery.

Abstract:Background: Poor adherence to treatment among patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) hinders the effective use of antidiabetic agents and the achievement of optimal glycemic control, reducing their quality of life and outcomes. Assessing adherence to treatment using a questionnaire can help identify and eliminate factors and barriers that negatively affect adherence to medical recommendations and satisfaction with treatment. Aim: To conduct linguistic and cultural adaptation of the 12-item Medication Adherence Scale (MAS-12) questionnaire and evaluate the psychometric properties of the Russian version of the MAS-12 questionnaire among patients suffering from T1DM and T2DM. Materials and methods: A survey of 198 patients with T1DM and T2DM was carried out, including self-completion of the MAS-12 questionnaire in Russian. Average age: 47.1±18.62 years, proportion of women - 76%. Average duration of the disease: 13.08±10.05 years. The construct validity of the MAS-12 questionnaire was assessed using confirmatory factor analysis. As an external criterion for assessing convergent validity, the KOP-25 method was used - the Russian Questionnaire for Quantitative Assessment of Treatment Adherence (KOP-25). Reliability of the MAS-12 was assessed using Cronbach's α internal consistency and participant retest after 1 to 4 months. Results: The factor structure of the MAS-12 questionnaire is reproduced for the first time on a Russian sample of patients with diabetes. Recommended fit indicators for the measurement model (CFI=0.983, RMSEA=0.049, TLI=0.968) were achieved by excluding two items (9 and 12) that did not demonstrate statistically significant contributions to their respective subscales. The internal consistency of the subscales (α ϵ [0.522; 0.857]) and the questionnaire as a whole (α=0.766) was assessed as sufficient. Significant correlations of the adapted methodology and its subscales with the scales of the KOP-25 questionnaire were obtained. The closest connections (r ϵ [0.333; 0.431], p<0.010) are observed with the COP-25 scales related to drug therapy, which indicates good external validity of the adapted methodology. Conclusion: The Russian version of the MAS-12 questionnaire "Questionnaire for assessing adherence to medication treatment" (PML-10), consisting of 10 questions, has good psychometric properties, is a valid and reliable tool for assessing medication adherence among patients with T1DM and T2DM and can be recommended for use in clinical practice, including for monitoring treatment adherence in Russia.
Medication adherence and treatment satisfaction in some Egyptian patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma

Abstract:Abstract Background The degree of effectiveness in the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) entails proper treatment adherence and satisfaction. In this study, medication adherence and treatment satisfaction were assessed among some Egyptian patients with asthma and COPD. Materials and methods Consecutive asthma and COPD patients were recruited from the outpatient clinic or inpatients admitted to the Chest Department at Ain Shams University Hospital, Abbassia, and Qena Chest Hospitals. Self-reported medication adherence and treatment satisfaction were tested using the Arabic versions of the eight-item Morisky Medication Adherence Scale and Treatment Satisfaction Questionnaire for Medication (TSQM 1.4), respectively. Results Totally, 474 asthmatic patients (mean: 34.41 years, 61.2% male and 38.8% female) and 509 COPD patients (mean: 60.39 years, 91.7% male and 8.3% female) were included. According to eight-item Morisky Medication Adherence Scale, mean adherence was 4.55±2.01 and 3.88 ±1.63 in asthma and COPD, respectively, with no significant difference. In asthma and COPD, low adherence was found in 71.7 and 79.4%, medium adherence in 19.8 and 13.6%, and high adherence in 8.4 and 7.1%, respectively. There was a significant difference in all domains of TSQM between asthma and COPD, with more effectiveness, convenience, and global satisfaction but less side effects among asthma patients compared with COPD. There was a significant correlation in asthmatic patients between adherence and all domains of TSQM, whereas in COPD only side effects and convenience correlated significantly with adherence. In COPD, adherence was better in male smokers, with low smoking index, living in urban areas, having severe small airway obstruction, and treated by pulmonologists. In asthma, adherence was mainly affected by treatment satisfaction. Conclusion Most of the asthma and COPD patients were nonadherent to their medications. Asthma patients were more satisfied with treatment compared with COPD patients.
Turkish Adaptation of Social Media Questionnaire for Nursing Training

Abstract:Background and Purpose: The use of social media in education has many effects such as rapid dissemination of information, crowdsourced information sharing, learning, and social interaction. In the study, it was aimed to determine the validity and reliability of the Social Media Questionnaire for Nursing Training (SMQNT), which can be used to determine the effect of social media in nursing education. Methods: The data of this methodological study were obtained from 262 nursing students. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to determine the scale's factor structure, while Cronbach's alpha (α) coefficient, test-retest method, and split-half reliability method were used for reliability. Results: In line with the results of the CFA, it was determined that the scale had 13 items and a three-factor structure as "attitudes," "use," and "contrast information." Similar to the original scale, a three-factor establishment was approved. SMQNT Cronbach's α coefficient was found to be 0.87, while Cronbach's α coefficient was found to be 0.658 for the "F1" factor, 0.760 for the "F2" factor, and 0.688 for the "F3" factor. Conclusions: As a result of this study, the Turkish form of SMQNT was a valid and reliable measurement instrument.

Abstract:The aim of this study was to examine the reliability and validity of the Turkish version of the AFEQ for Turkish parents of children with ASD. The Turkish-translated version of the AFEQ was administered to 241 parents of children aged 2–12 years with ASD to examine the construct validity and internal consistencies. Parents completed the Autism Behavior Checklist (ABC), and Quality of Life in Autism Questionnaire Parent version, along with the AFEQ. The mean age of the children of 241 individuals in the study group was 7.63 ± 3.02 and 88.4% ( n = 213) were male. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.921 of the total variance. Cronbach alpha coefficients are 0.813 for the "Experience of being a parent" subscale, 0.768 for the "Family Life" subscale, 0.810 for the "Child Development, Understanding and Social Relationships" subscale, and 0.804 for the "Child Symptoms (Feelings and Behaviour)" subscale. In conclusion, the translated and culturally adapted AFEQ shows good reliability and validity to measure the priorities of autistic children and their families in Turkey. It can also be useful in monitoring the effectiveness of intervention programs and changes in the child.

Abstract:Background: The Family Caregiver Medication Administration Hassles Scale (FCMAHS) was developed to evaluate the hassles and concerns experienced by family caregivers in medication administration. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the reliability and validity of the Turkish version of the Family Caregiver Medication Administration Hassles Scale (FCMAHS-TR). Methods: The FCMAHS-TR was developed after translation, cultural adaptation, and a pilot study. The cross-sectional study was conducted among family caregivers (≥18 years) in community pharmacies. Test-retest reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were performed. Hypothesis testing was used for the assessment of construct validity. Results: The majority (68.7%) of the family caregivers were female (n = 470). In the test-retest reliability analysis (n = 30), the ICC value was 0.917 (P < 0.001). In EFA analysis (n = 251), the Kaiser‒Meyer‒Olkin (KMO) measure was 0.799, 62.6% of the total variance was explained by five factors including eighteen items, and Cronbach's alpha was 0.836. According to CFA (n = 219), the root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) was 0.0654, and the comparative fit index (CFI) was 0.918. In construct validity, family caregivers with low reading ability of health-related materials and with high care burden had significantly higher median scores for all the factors of the FCMAHS-TR (P < 0.05 for all). Conclusions: The FCMAHS-TR can be used to evaluate the hassle and concerns experienced by family caregivers in medication administration. This scale can be used by healthcare professionals to identify family caregivers who need individualized interventions for medication administration hassles.

Abstract:In this paper, it was aimed to adapt the Positive Mental Health Scale (PMHS) into Turkish language. In total 360 university students with ages ranging from 18 to 25, participated in the research. Validity and reliability analysis were carried out after the linguistic equivalency of the scale was examined. The psychometric properties of the scale were examined by internal consistency, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, it comes in view that the scale has a single factor structure. Related to the PMHS, the internal consistency coefficient was found .85. In the context of the criterion-related validity, positive correlations were found between Positive Mental Health Scale (PMHS) and Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (OHQ), Psychological Well-being Scale (PWS) and Brief Resilience Scale (BRS). It is concluded that the PMHS is a valid and reliable instrument to measure positive mental health level of university students.

Abstract:This research study aimed to assess the reliability and validity of the Turkish version of the Vaccine Acceptance Instrument (VAI). The VAI is a 20-item Likert-type scale, with responses ranging across seven points. A systematic approach was followed to translate the scale into Turkish, involving translation, expert panel evaluation, back-translation, and pilot testing. The Vaccine Acceptance Instrument and a sociodemographic data form were used for data collection. The reliability of the scale was tested by test–retest analysis, and its internal reliability was examined by Cronbach's alpha test. The factor structure was examined using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was employed to assess the scale's fit. Overall, 229 participants were included in the study. In test–retest reliability analysis, the intraclass correlation coefficient of the scale was 0.992 (95% CI: 0.987–0.996). The Cronbach's alpha value of the scale was 0.824. A four-factor structure was determined. The model had an acceptable fit [χ2/df = 380.04/164 (2,317) p < 0.001, CFI = 0.91, GFI = 0.90, AGFI = 0.906, NFI = 0.90, RMSEA = 0.076]. The mean total VAI score was 112.71 ± 17.02. The low education level of the mother, being a housewife, and parents not having the COVID-19 vaccine were statistically significantly associated with a low scale score and low vaccine acceptance (p < 0.05). The Turkish adaptation of the VAI demonstrated satisfactory levels of validity and reliability following rigorous testing.

Abstract:Journal of Health Psychology, Ahead of Print. This study validates the Turkish version of the Attitudes Toward Face Mask Use Scale (ATFMUS). This scale is crucial for understanding public attitudes toward mask usage in preventing the transmission of infectious diseases. The research was conducted between September 2023 and February 2024 with 530 students from a foundation university's health sciences faculty. The study assessed the scale's language equivalence, content validity, and factor structure through exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. Reliability was examined via item-total correlations, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, and test-retest reliability, indicating satisfactory internal consistency and stability over time. The results confirm the Turkish ATFMUS's validity and reliability in measuring attitudes toward mask usage. This offers essential insights for formulating preventive initiatives within Turkish communities.
