Abstract:It is demonstrated that the 1988-90 microlensing events in image A of Q2237+0305 reported by Racine (1992) do not exclude microlensing models with very low average mass, making the source radius larger than the projected Einstein radius $\eta_0$ (Refsdal and Stabell 1991, 1993). This is contrary to what has been claimed by Witt and Mao (1994). Since these events are the best resolved microlensing events recorded in Q2237+0305, further work should not exclude the possibility of a large source when interpreting lightcurve data.

Abstract:We develop the notions of multiplicative Lie conformal and Poisson vertex algebras, local and non-local, and their connections to the theory of integrable differential-difference Hamiltonian equations. We establish relations of these notions to q-deformed W-algebras and lattice Poisson algebras. We introduce the notion of Adler type pseudodifference operators and apply them to integrability of differential-difference Hamiltonian equations.

Abstract:In this paper we extensively study the notion of Hamiltonian structure for nonabelian differential-difference systems, exploring the link between the different algebraic (in terms of double Poisson algebras and vertex algebras) and geometric (in terms of nonabelian Poisson bivectors) definitions. We introduce multiplicative double Poisson vertex algebras (PVAs) as the suitable noncommutative counterpart to multiplicative PVAs, used to describe Hamiltonian differential-difference equations in the commutative setting, and prove that these algebras are in one-to-one correspondence with the Poisson structures defined by difference operators, providing a sufficient condition for the fulfilment of the Jacobi identity. Moreover, we define nonabelian polyvector fields and their Schouten brackets, for both finitely generated noncommutative algebras and infinitely generated difference ones: this allows us to provide a unified characterisation of Poisson bivectors and double quasi-Poisson algebra structures. Finally, as an application we obtain some results towards the classification of local scalar Hamiltonian difference structures and construct the Hamiltonian structures for the nonabelian Kaup, Ablowitz-Ladik and Chen-Lee-Liu integrable lattices.

Abstract:Suppose H is a cocommutative Hopf algebra and P is the operad Ass, or Lie. For any left H-module V, we construct a graded Lie algebra (LP(V)=⨁n∈ZLPn(V),[,]), and prove that φ∈LP1 satisfies [φ,φ]=0 if and only if it determines a pseudoalgebra structure on V over the operad P, and LP(V) is a differential graded Lie algebra with a differentiation determined by the structure map φ of the H-pseudoalgebra V. Moreover, we construct a Lie algebra by using symmetric Schouten product for any pseudoalgebra V over the operad Lie.
The weak Lie 2-algebra of multiplicative forms on a quasi-Poisson groupoid

Abstract:Berwick-Evens and Lerman recently showed that the category of vector fields on a geometric stack has the structure of a Lie $2$-algebra. Motivated by this work, we present a construction of graded weak Lie $2$-algebras associated with quasi-Poisson groupoids based on the space of multiplicative forms on the groupoid and differential forms on the base manifold. We also establish a morphism between the Lie $2$-algebra of multiplicative multivector fields and the weak Lie $2$-algebra of multiplicative forms, allowing us to compare and relate different aspects of Lie $2$-algebra theory within the context of quasi-Poisson geometry. As an infinitesimal analogy, we explicitly determine the associated weak Lie $2$-algebra structure of IM $1$-forms along with differential $1$-forms on the base manifold for any quasi-Lie bialgebroid.

Abstract:In this work, we construct the deformed Butcher-Connes-Kreimer Hopf algebra coming from the theory of Regularity Structures as the universal envelope of a post-Lie algebra. We show that this can be done using either of the two combinatorial structures that have been proposed in the context of singular SPDEs: decorated trees and multi-indices. Our construction is inspired from multi-indices where the Hopf algebra was obtained as the universal envelope of a Lie algebra and it has been proved that one can find a basis that is symmetric with respect to certain elements. We show that this Lie algebra comes from an underlying post-Lie structure.

Algebraic structures in Lagrangian Floer cohomology modelled on differential forms

Abstract:We define a structure of an algebra on the Lagrangian Floer cohomology of a Lagrangian submanifold over the quantum cohomology of the ambient symplectic manifold. The structure is analogous to the one defined by Biran-Cornea, but is constructed in the differential forms model. In the spirit of Ganatra and Hugtenburg, we define another such algebra structure using a closed-open map. We show that the two structures coincide. As an application, we show that the module structure for the 2-dimensional Clifford torus is given by multiplication by a Novikov coefficient, similarly to the Biran-Cornea module structure for this case.

Algebraic structures and Hamiltonians from the equivalence classes of 2D conformal algebras

Abstract:The construction of superintegrable systems based on Lie algebras and their universal enveloping algebras has been widely studied over the past decades. However, most constructions rely on explicit differential operator realisations and Marsden-Weinstein reductions. In this paper, we develop an algebraic approach based on the subalgebras of the 2D conformal algebra $\mathfrak{c}(2)$. This allows us to classify the centralisers of the enveloping algebra of the conformal algebra and construct the corresponding Hamiltonians with integrals in algebraic form. It is found that the symmetry algebras underlying these algebraic Hamiltonians are six-dimensional quadratic algebras. The Berezin brackets and commutation relations of the quadratic algebraic structures are closed without relying on explicit realisations or representations. We also give the Casimir invariants of the symmetry algebras. Our approach provides algebraic perspectives for the recent work by Fordy and Huang on the construction of superintegrable systems in the Darboux spaces.

Abstract:In this article, we described 1/2-derivations of solvable Lie algebras with a thread-like nilradical. Nontrivial transposed Poisson algebras with solvable Lie algebras are constructed. That is, by using 1/2-derivations of Lie algebras, we have established commutative associative multiplication to construct a transposed Poisson algebra with an associated given Lie algebra.

Abstract:Generalising a previous work of Jiang and Sheng, a cohomology theory for differential Lie algebras of arbitrary weight is introduced. The underlying $L_\infty[1]$-structure on the cochain complex is also determined via a generalised version of higher derived brackets. The equivalence between $L_\infty[1]$-structures for absolute and relative differential Lie algebras are established. Formal deformations and abelian extensions are interpreted by using lower degree cohomology groups. Also we introduce the homotopy differential Lie algebras. In a forthcoming paper, we will show that the operad of homotopy (relative) differential Lie algebras is the minimal model of the operad of (relative) differential Lie algebras.

On Hamiltonian Structures of Partial Difference Equations

Abstract:We first introduce the notion of Hamiltonian structure for a partial difference equation. Then we construct some infinite quivers, and realize the discrete KdV equation, the Hirota-Miwa equation and its various reductions as the mutation relations of the corresponding cluster algebras. Finally, we show that the log-canonical Poisson structures associated to these cluster algebras give the Hamiltonian structures or the bihamiltonian structures of these partial difference equations.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a new algebraic structure, n-Lie H-pseudoalgebras, which generalize both Lie H-pseudoalgebras and Filippov algebras. Furthermore, we discuss the structure of n-Lie H-pseudoalgebras, and display an analogue of Engel's classical theorem for Lie algebras. Finally, we explain the good prospects of the n-Lie H-pseudoalgebras theory in physics.

We have established commutative associative multiplication to construct a transposed Poisson algebra with an associated given Lie algebra.

A Construction of the Lie Algebra of a Lie Group in Isabelle/HOL

Abstract:This paper describes a formal theory of smooth vector fields, Lie groups and the Lie algebra of a Lie group in the theorem prover Isabelle. Lie groups are abstract structures that are composable, invertible and differentiable. They are pervasive as models of continuous transformations and symmetries in areas from theoretical particle physics, where they underpin gauge theories such as the Standard Model, to the study of differential equations and robotics. Formalisation of mathematics in an interactive theorem prover, such as Isabelle, provides strong correctness guarantees by expressing definitions and theorems in a logic that can be checked by a computer. Many libraries of formalised mathematics lack significant development of textbook material beyond undergraduate level, and this contribution to mathematics in Isabelle aims to reduce that gap, particularly in differential geometry. We comment on representational choices and challenges faced when integrating complex formalisations, such as smoothness of vector fields, with the restrictions of the simple type theory of HOL. This contribution paves the way for extensions both in advanced mathematics, and in formalisations in natural science.

Post-Lie algebras of derivations and regularity structures

Abstract:Given a commutative algebra $A$, we exhibit a canonical structure of post-Lie algebra on the space $A\otimes Der(A)$ where $Der(A)$ is the space of derivations on $A$, in order to use the machinery given in [Guin & Oudom 2008] and [Ebrahimi-Fard & Lundervold & Munthe-Kaas 2015] and to define a Hopf algebra structure on the associated enveloping algebra with a natural action on $A$. We apply these results to the setting of [Linares & Otto & Tempelmayr 2023], giving a simpler and more efficient construction of their action and extending the recent work [Bruned & Katsetsiadis]. This approach gives an optimal setting to perform explicit computations in the associated structure group.

Abstract:We study the shifted analogue of the “Lie–Poisson” construction for L_∞ algebroids and we prove that any L_∞ algebroid naturally gives rise to shifted derived Poisson manifolds. We also investigate derived Poisson structures from a purely algebraic perspective and, in particular, we establish a homotopy transfer theorem for derived Poisson algebras. As an application, we prove that, given a Lie pair ( L , A ), the space totΩ ^∙_A(Λ ^∙ (L/A)) admits a degree (+1) derived Poisson algebra structure with the wedge product as associative multiplication and the Chevalley–Eilenberg differential d_A^Bott:Ω ^∙_A(Λ ^∙ (L/A))→Ω ^∙ +1_A(Λ ^∙ (L/A)) as unary L_∞ bracket. This degree (+1) derived Poisson algebra structure on totΩ ^∙_A(Λ ^∙ (L/A)) is unique up to an isomorphism having the identity map as first Taylor coefficient. Consequently, the Chevalley–Eilenberg hypercohomology ℍ( tot Ω ^∙_A(Λ ^∙ (L/A)),d_A^Bott) admits a canonical Gerstenhaber algebra structure.

Abstract:Considering a Poisson algebra as a non associative algebra satisfying the Markl-Remm identity, we study deformations of Poisson algebras as deformations of this non associative algebra. This gives a natural interpretation of deformations which preserves the underlying associative structure and we study deformations which preserve the underlying Lie algebra.

Abstract:Within the framework of inverse Lie problem, we give some non-trivial examples of coupled Lie remarkable equations, \textit{i.e.}, classes of differential equations that are in correspondence with their Lie point symmetries. In particular, we determine hierarchies of second order partial differential equations uniquely characterized by affine transformations of $\mathbb{R}^{n+m}$, and a system of two third order partial differential equations in two independent variables uniquely determined by the Lie algebra of projective transformations of $\mathbb{R}^4$.

Abstract:We develop the formalism of double Poisson vertex algebras (local and non-local) aimed at the study of non-commutative Hamiltonian PDEs. This is a generalization of the theory of double Poisson algebras, developed by Van den Bergh, which is used in the study of Hamiltonian ODEs. We apply our theory of double Poisson vertex algebras to non-commutative KP and Gelfand–Dickey hierarchies. We also construct the related non-commutative de Rham and variational complexes.
A representation-theoretical approach to higher-dimensional Lie--Hamilton systems: The symplectic Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sp}(4, \mathbb{R})$

Abstract:A new procedure for the construction of higher-dimensional Lie-Hamilton systems is proposed. This method is based on techniques belonging to the representation theory of Lie algebras and their realization by vector fields. The notion of intrinsic Lie-Hamilton system is defined, and a sufficiency criterion for this property given. Novel four-dimensional Lie-Hamilton systems arising from the fundamental representation of the symplectic Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sp}(4, \mathbb{R})$ are obtained and proved to be intrinsic. Two distinguished subalgebras, the two-photon Lie algebra $\mathfrak{h}_{6}$ and the Lorentz Lie algebra $\mathfrak{so}(1,3)$, are also considered in detail. As applications, coupled time-dependent systems which generalize the Bateman oscillator and the one-dimensional Caldirola-Kanai models are constructed, as well as systems depending on a time-dependent electromagnetic field and generalized coupled oscillators. A superposition rule for these systems, exhibiting interesting symmetry properties, is obtained using the coalgebra method.
