Abstract:Internet catchwords are network language, wildly copied, imitated and spread in a certain period of time in different occasions. There are a lot of ways to form the internet catchwords, for example, personification and expressing new meaning with the same words and so on. This kind of word formation is of great significance with diversification and individuality to social cultural communication.Meanwhile, with the characteristics of arbitrariness, nonstandard and variability, the internet catchwords bring great impact and influence on the social culture, psychology and so on. Therefore, we should maintain a positive understanding and cognition of these internet catchwords.

Abstract:Nowadays the concept of «Internet vocabulary or Internet language» is widely used in modern electronic information space. Internet vocabulary can also be called the language of electronic communication, the language of computers and the Internet. This concept is directly related to the use of words, language culture and the quality of language use of Internet users. Chinese is one of the ten main languages widely used on the Internet in modern society. The article provides comprehensive answers to questions such as how Internet vocabulary, which is a branch of sociolinguistics, has developed in Chinese society in the last ten years, what is its impact on language learners, and what are the conditions of Internet use in China. At the same time, the theoretical principles of sociolinguistics are also discussed, the history of the development of the Internet vocabulary in the Chinese language, the ways of its creation and the ways of word formation are also considered. Many examples of Chinese Internet slang, jargon, and abbreviations commonly used in Internet language or electronic communications are given by the author. In the conclusion of the article, after researching the Internet vocabulary in Chinese, it is pointed out that the Internet vocabulary will be of great benefit to language learners in the future, and it will be very effective in Chinese teaching in Kazakhstan universities.

Abstract:Nowadays, globalization and informatization are deepening through social media, and the way people communicate with each other has also changed dramatically. Thus, many Internet expressions were born. The study of network language plays an important role in communicating with the world, recognizing the diversity of the world and language learning. In daily life, people often use it directly, but if more words are not translated and understood, their scope of use will have great limitations. There are three topics discussed in this paper: the main characteristics of Internet slang and phrases and abbreviations of modern society, the corresponding spoken phenomenon, and Chinese Translation Strategies for Internet Terms. It involves analysis of word meanings, vocabulary statistics, collection and classification and synchronic research using main social media Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. It could be seen that no matter whether people think internet slang vitalizes or destroys language, there's no denying how revealing it is of the culture that invents and uses it -- and the ease with which people adapt their language to new technologies and concepts.

Abstract:This study conducts a comparative analysis of Chinese and English Internet buzzwords from 2023 using a sociolinguistic lens to explore their reflection and influence on respective cultural and social contexts. Internet buzzwords, as linguistic phenomena, encapsulate the dynamic interplay between language innovation and societal trends, offering insights into cross-cultural communication and the pervasive impact of digitalization. Utilizing a qualitative research methodology, the study analyzed data sourced from national and international digital media platforms. Findings reveal distinct cultural predilections: Chinese buzzwords largely underscore collective values and traditional sensibilities, while English buzzwords tend to highlight individualism and personal authenticity. The study underscores the role of language as a cultural artifact, shaped by and shaping social identities in a globalized discourse, thereby contributing to sociolinguistic theory by illustrating how language both influences and is influenced by socio-technological evolutions.

Abstract:Chinese netizens have been playing an inevitable role in the deveopment of Internet in China.At present,they have been showing a number of typical characteristics,which have not only exerted much influence on the development path of the Chinese Internet,but also reflected to a certain extent the complicated process of our Chinese society.The present typical characteristics of netizens in Mainland China find their expression mainly in the following aspects.Firstly,they show such characterisitc demands and desires as: they have an increasingly intense desire to understand the envirenment;they possess an increasingly strong desire to express themselves freely and to freely participate in social activities;their marginal demands are on the increase.Secondly,they display such behavioural features as: deconstructive behaviour tends to cause sensational effects;violent behaviour tends to be stirred up;group influential power tends to be strong.Thirdly,they demonstrate such thinking features as: calling some issues in question has become the keynote of some netizens' thinking pattern;some netizens are likely to be dominated by simplified thinking modes.Fourthly,they possess such value orientation features as: dual moral character;culturally rebellious nature;politically radical trait.Why do Chinese netizens possess such thinking,attitudinal,and behavioural features? Substantially,it is not because the Internet has changed them.It is because their typical features are grounded upon the current reality.

Abstract:The article deals with the language of the internet as a new means of communication. It states that it is one of the important investigation source for modern linguistics. It has already been proved that the internet has its own language. The internet language has some differences and similarites with written and spoken languages.
