Abstract:
High-entropy Prussian blue analogues (HEPBAs) integrating the highly dispersed active sites of high-entropy materials with intrinsic 3D diffusion channels and the redox-active sites of Prussian blue analogues have great potential in electrochemical applications but have not been realized. In this work, a series of HEPBAs were successfully synthesized under room temperature combining mechanochemistry with wet chemistry for the first time.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The main problem this paper attempts to address is the development of a method for synthesizing high-entropy Prussian blue analogs (HEPBAs) at room temperature and exploring their potential applications in supercapacitors. Specifically, the authors aim to: 1. **Achieve room temperature synthesis**: Successfully synthesize high-entropy Prussian blue analogs (HEPBAs) at room temperature by combining mechanochemical and wet chemical methods, avoiding the limitations of traditional high-temperature synthesis methods. 2. **Improve electrochemical performance**: Enhance the conductivity and catalytic performance of Prussian blue analogs by introducing the high-entropy concept, resulting in higher specific capacitance and better electrochemical stability in supercapacitors. 3. **Validate the advantages of high-entropy structures**: Validate the advantages of high-entropy structures in multi-component material synthesis by comparing them with single-component and dual-component Prussian blue analogs, particularly in terms of forming a single-phase state and uniform element distribution. 4. **Expand research fields**: Provide new methodologies for the synthesis of high-entropy materials and apply them to the field of electrochemical energy storage, thereby expanding the research scope of high-entropy materials. In summary, this paper aims to explore the potential applications of high-entropy Prussian blue analogs in supercapacitors through room temperature synthesis and validate the advantages of high-entropy structures in multi-component materials.
